There salesman did a great job of misleading me on what I was signing up for. I don't remember them ever saying it was a 60 mos. contract if I did I would of never signed up for it. You pay more than what the service is worth and when you ask about cancelling they hit you with a massive fee. As everyone else has said, it is a scam and they will lock you into a 5 year contract that you cannot exit without paying the remainder of the contract out or you'll go to collections. I did not find this company, they found me. They had a representative prowling our neighborhood in Sandy, UT, offering an offer that seemed too good, to be true: free equipment, just pay the monthly charge, & the sales representative assured us that there would be no issues/fees to cancel. As the wife of a firefighter (home alone A LOT), we thought this would be a great addition to our home, to help me feel safe. I asked him to come back when my husband came home later in the evening. In the mean time, I posted in our community forum asking if anyone had heard of them, & their thoughts... people messaged me warning me to be careful, & that it sounded like a scam. When the sales agent returned, he seemed nice enough & said a lot of things to calm our worries. Again, he reiterated that we can just end the service if it is not working out. I really believe that he was preying on our fears, because I had mentioned to him that I was alone a lot. He told us he would follow up with an agreement via email that would have the terms that he discussed with us. We trusted the agreement to reflect what we had been told. Our mistake. Someone would come and install the equipment (the installer was very nice). In 2019, my husband & I had to make a large change in our lives (due to a large change in a family member's health), & move. We sold our dream condo, my husband left his dream job as a Utah firefighter.. it was a very hard. That is when the trouble started. Apparently, once you take upon the service of Wise Home, they sell your agreement and info to an account management company called Safe Home Security. You can only cancel if you pay 80% or 90% of your remaining agreement: which for us is $800+. I am not sure which percentage is true, I was given 2 figures. We didn't know this, so our first attempt at canceling our monthly service (Jan 6), we emailed Wise Home. They ignored the email. My husband followed up by phone & spoke with the call center agent who tried to get him off the phone and told him there was nothing he could do. After persisting, & asking to speak with someone who could help him, he was then connected to the team manager named Rowdy. My husband explained the situation; Rowdy repeatedly apologized but refused to help him. He concluded by saying he would "look into it" and call us back. Naturally, we did not receive a call back. After a week and a half of waiting, I posted this publicly to our neighborhood forum, to warn everyone else in my neighborhood about the turn that this had taken. This is the only time we received a phone-call. This went on for weeks & weeks. The pattern: they told us they would call, & never did. We called, they said they couldn't help us, but would "work on it," & give us a call. We were told to call the "accounting team." Called 7-10 times, no one ever answered. We left voicemails, no one called us back. So, my husband (now a firefighter in our new state), cannot reach them during open hours. I resumed the convo on his behalf. Again, the same talking in circles and refusing to help us & take any responsibility for the misinformation Wise Home's sales rep said to "lock" us into an agreement. I don't remember the breaking point in the conversation with Rowdy, but I was given a phone number to "account owners." It is a company called Safe Home Security & they buy customer accounts/info from Wise Home to manage. I called them & the agent on the phone is frustrated. He says that he frequently deals with customers of Wise Home calling for help, because they were lied to by the sales agent, and Wise Home does not want to assist them and "lose money." He does not help me, as he says that the sales representatives that do this are the responsibility of Wise Home. He tells me the only way I can get help is to call Wise Home, & he offers to send me a copy of the agreement. This is the email he sent me: "This email contains your agreement that you signed with Wise Home Security. I was talking to my manager about this situation and since then we did drop them as a dealer. They no longer are dealers for us because the way that they conducted business. Again I am very sorry this happened to you. Thank you, Steven" AGAIN, I call Wise Home & explain this. They're interested in the email, & ask that I forward it. He says he is going to escalate this to the CEO, as he is upset about the content of the email. He was willing to escalate this to the CEO, but they still refused to help me. Wise Home said that this was unacceptable for their "customer" to receive this email, but then tell me that I have to call this company that their CEO is angry with, & ask them to release the contract. They are hiding behind the contract that I unwittingly agreed to, & refusing to take responsibility for their rep preying on my fears as a woman who is home-alone frequently. I have been ping-ponged back & forth, & there is 0 accountability being taken, & 0 attempts at treating me like a human. read more

We have had Wisehome for two years now. I am taking a new position at my company that is moving us to Tennessee where Wisehome does not have service. They are telling us we need to pay $1000+ to break the contract. We have told them that we do not wish to break the contract, but they do not have their services in the area we are moving. There is no clause in the contract on this. The service desk has been repeatedly rude about this situation, telling us that it doesn't matter who they transfer us to, they are going to say the same thing. They will not put us in touch with a supervisor. They finally told us that their "sister company" ADT would take on the contract. Finally! A resolution! No, ADT wanted us to start a new contract, and has never heard of Wisehome. What a mess of a company. read more

Update to my earlier review. Upon further and complete investigation and review of recorded transcripts from when my mother's system was installed, I received a call from Wise Solutions Operations Manager, who explained that he did not believe that the terms of the agreement were clearly communicated at the time of sale and they have decided to respectfully terminate the agreement between Wise and my mother. In addition, he noted that he had passed on my comments regarding the use of intimidation through fear to get elderly clients to sign agreement to their sales organization for thorough review. This, to ensure that nothing in their communication to potential elderly clientele approaches or can be misunderstood as creating undo fear to influence their decision for a security system. I respect the actions taken by the Wise Solution team and retract my earlier comments. I do believe that they are making an effort to ensure that they are improving how they communicate with the elderly and do want everyone to have a good experience with their products and service. read more

The sales person put me in a 5 year contract without my knowledge and the only way to get out of the contract is to pay the remaining balance for a system I haven't used in 2 years. WISE home solutions is the worst company I have ever done business with! Do not do business with them! If I could give them 0 stars I would. I told my sales agent that I wanted to cancel my service back in January and after months missed/canceled uninstall appointments (on the companies side) I still have the system in my house. (It's been 8 months!) I have also been charged each month since then (even though I told them to stop charging me) and I was told I can't get my money back until they uninstall the system. I have not been able to get a hold of the sales agent who was helping me for a month and the few times I have tried to call the customer service line they say they have no info about my cancellation and that the sales agent is supposed to take care of it. read more

I was sitting in my home and a salesman knocked on the door. He was trying to sell the wise security system. He explained a very good scenario that our house is in a great location and we want to give this deal which we offer only to few houses just for marketing purposes. He explained about the system and the company being new so we decided to support the company and we heard him. However before we move forward I asked him I wanna move after I'm done with school so I cannot sign a long term contract but I was told by the sales man that the contract could be canceled at any time without fee just give us a call and we'll help you cancel your service. I knew that I wouldn't be expected to stay in Utah for the 60 month term that's why I insisted a couple of times that what if I move in the next few months and repeatedly he said don't worry about it. I contacted to the salesman and his solution was "I'm sorry I should choose my words wisely " and he said you can sell the service when you want to sell your house!!!! I called to the office and they told me you signed the contract. I just learned a life lesson! To not trust them and not sign anything based on salespersons promises! These guys are a Joke! After moving into my new home in Draper, I contacted Dave M. at Wise Home Solutions and asked for their assistance with setting up my new homes security and alarm system. within a few days someone showed up and walked through everything with me. Then he left to get me a bid and some pricing. That was over a month ago. I have tried to get hold of someone to follow up on my bid and to set up my security system, they simply are either traveling, or have the details in front of them and will talk to their boss and get back to me "shortly" etc. I could have gone with any other company and would have been set up within days. They are simply not interested in doing business. What a waste of time. read more

Had Wise Security set up home security system January 2018 when moved into new townhouse. Today 8/13/19 called to cancel service as do not use it. Did not sign any contract. Was told the "agreement" was done verbally over the telephone (oral contracts are not legal in Utah...must be in writing??). Was told could not cancel due to telephone verbal agreement and contract was for 60 months and would be in effect until January 2023. Could "buy out" by paying $408.55 for the next 3 months. Current charge is $39.99 a month. Retired widow on fixed income, and would like to eliminate non-essential costs....alas, this is not to happen with WISE.....another of life's learning experiences! read more

Our alarm was set off and no one followed up. No authorities came to check on our home or our family. Very disappointing. There is no 24 hour service number to call or anything. This is terrible. Doesn't make my family or myself feel safe at all. read more

This security company is not a good company. Poor customer service, do not follow up with customers when they say they're going to follow up. They must have one worker and technician for the company because the technician is not sent the home wishing 24-48hours. I wish I would have stayed with my old security company. read more

Not happy with the customer service. Took 2 months and 2 reps to get my name on the contract and my ex's off. Finally got a supervisor who then wanted me to start a whole new contract with new equipment. I let him know at this point I just want it gone. I'm tired of your bad customer service. He then tells me it will be $ 2500.00 to take it out because of the contract. Today they sent a rep who drove 4 hours, don't know why so he calls and they tell him to show us how to use the system, we know how we've had it over a year. I guess they must like unhappy customers. I will never recommend them and will let people know how I feel about Wise Security. read more

Smoke detector broke and I was unable to get ahold of the company for months. finally got ahold of them and they didn't do anything to make it right and when they had me schedule a repair the repair was over a month out. Then comes the day of the repair and we get a call to delay it a few hours so we wait a few hours and now it needs to happen the next day. I think you get the point afful company with terrible support that makes them impossible to deal with. read more

After almost a year of working with Wise as my home security, I can honestly say that I am extremely disappointed. See the front door zone has been failing periodically and had triggered twice when nothing is going on right after I leave, where the cops get called and counts as my false alarm (you have to pay after two false alarms). So the alarm falsely triggered and the monitoring service calls my cell. They ask for a verbal password (which I thought it might be one of my dogs, but ultimately couldn't remember) and after not being able to remember a word I picked a year ago, they hung up and called the cops, which I wish there was another step to verifying it is me instead of some word I picked a year ago, but I get why the hang up and the cops called. I call back into the monitoring service, where they would not do anything to help and after being put on hold for a manager, was hung up on. I called back and spoke to a different person, which ultimately resolved in no managers were available, but he reached out to Wise's "on-call" person to call me back, which should be in 10 minutes. No call was made. I was travelling for work and wouldn't be back for a week. This means I couldn't secure my home, while I was out of town, ya know; actually USE the service I am paying for. Upon return, I call in to voice some complaints and ultimately get routed to their sales director, Jefferson, who is part owner. I try to talk with him to cancel my contract because I have lost faith in their system working, but here is the rub. They force you to sign up for a 3 year contract at minimum. They will let you out if you move to a part of the country that they don't service, but they will not let you out for their own poor service. Okay, let's give them a shot to fix the issue. As I am writing this, I just got off the phone with Jefferson. See their tech was supposed to be here sometime from noon to one. I leave work for my lunch break and head home. 1:15 rolls by and I reach out to Wise to see where the tech is. They tell me that he had a job go long and it would probably be another hour, but he had my contact info so he would call when he could head my way. Wait, so he had my contact info and a job that he was on that should have finished by at least 11:30 would take him until 2:30 and he didn't think to call me? I call Jefferson to loop him in. He apologizes and offers a month free. As I continue talking with him, bringing up the no call backs and how this system has been failing; he brings up that they have over 200 positive google reviews, to which I say, yeah but how many of those are your employees, to which he took offense, but later admitted that his employees did fill out positive reviews for them on google, but it wasn't all 200. Okay... After which he brings up the calls logged from the monitoring company which he says "doesnt match my story." He continues on to say their side, which matched my story 100% from the beginning, he just wasn't remembering right or whatever. As he is agitated now and so am I, see I don't like being called a liar, even in a round about way; I ask again if I can be let out of my contract. He says no (unless you pay this ridiculous 90% remaining value charge, so yeah basically no). So now I am looking to have to take PTO, still awaiting this tech that is supposed to show up sometime to hopefully fix whatever has gone wrong. So here I am stuck with them for 2 more years and quite frankly can't even use the service without false alarms and paying the police department. I love the customer service. It's like a friend on their end. I also love how easy it is set it up and learn. They are very patient and very helpful. The app makes Things so convenient to arm and disarm. Lastly having the ability to give individual codes to people and name them helps me keep track of exactly who turns off and off the alarm and what time. read more

This company is no good. They sell you on an overpriced and outdated system. They come in and tear up your house. They do a terrible job of installing their system, then when this bad installation job goes bad they don't come fix it to make it work again. Then when you stop paying them because they fail on keeping their side of the contract they send you to collections. So buyers beware. They aren't what they sell you on. There are much better security companies out there. Don't settle. read more

The guys were really nice when they came out to set everything up. Which is the only reason this business is not getting 1 star. We already have a camera system, but we decided to give it a try anyway. You only have 3 days to cancel before you are stuck paying for it for 5 years! I only pay about $60 a year with the option of not paying anything at all if I don't want to on our existing system. I would have been paying $660 dollars a year if I didn't cancel!! Outrageous! They say it's because we have to be connected to the fire, police, and paramedics and that's what they charge, but I can contact the police and fire on my current system and not have to pay that much. Anyways, when the guy came to uninstall everything he wasn't very nice, neither was the person on the phone, or the person I was emailing. There was zero communication on when they would be here (I was supposed to receive a phone call saying what time they would be coming), and they just showed up at my door. I have a newborn baby and it would have been nice to know that they were coming. When he was taking down everything he wasn't being gentle at all with the equipment or being mindful of my house, plus they drill a huge gaping hole in your wall for the power cord of the monitor, and put 3 pretty wide screws in to hold something that doesn't even weigh a pound. All in all, I am glad I canceled my service with them because I got a look at the way they act when they get rejected, which isn't very nice at all. Which saved me hurt in the future and also saved me $3,300 over the next 5 years. They also don't tell you that you have to pay for the ring camera after the first 30 days, just an FYI. read more
