They were courteous, friendly and very accommodating. They continued to follow-up on Monday with the finishing touches. Thank you for making this a very pleasant experience. Went to test drive a used truck earlier this year around March-April since my dad was in the market…read morefor a truck. Salesman we had initially stated during negotiations that they had a no refund policy but verbally stated if we didn't commit to buying he'd give a refund. It's been a few months since then and over that time, my dad had been communicating over text and they've also for some reason emailed me to confirm details even though they supposedly updated the contact info to my father's and have stated that the refund deposit would be processed and would be mailed/made ready. It had been a while so I went back in person to try and receive my deposit back. Turns out I was only when I made the trip back to request for the deposit back they stated that their "AI SYSTEM" had been sending all of those responses the entire time and constantly cited their "no deposit back" policy. Keep in mind any other dealership whether it comes to sales or service will fully disclose that you will be talking to a bot. I've been to plenty of dealerships and this is the only one I've come across that doesn't disclose this crucial info. It won't sign in an email with the sales representative's name without following up that it's an automated response. While I was waiting, the salesman I've been dealing with the entire time had the gall to ask "well you use AI in your career field you understand don't you?" This comment irritated the hell out of me and in response I stated I'd never allow AI to make statements on my behalf or any work for that matter without supervision and my approval to send over. ESPECIALLY IN A PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT BTW. So I waited over an hour to speak to the GM but I couldn't since he was busy. Not gonna waste time just to wait for a chance to speak to them about it so I left. I called a few days later to speak with the GM did the same thing cited the AI system excuse and no refund policy but they were communicating with the company that handles their AI system and would update me in about 2 weeks time. When I went in person and called it was early-mid July. It's currently August and nothing but crickets. It's not even about the deposit money atp it's the lack of accountability, general unprofessionalism, and wasted time spent dealing with them. TLDR this dealership lacks accountability and are unprofessional. Absolute time waster and excuses out the wazoo. Don't do business with this one.

On April 6th, within a week of purchasing a certified vehicle from Gary Rome Kia for over 16,800…read moredollars, the vehicle stalled in Rhode Island and would not start. When my son went to have it towed to a local Kia dealership using the Tow Assistance package that came with the car, however, they would not tow it because they did not have the vehicle on file because GARY ROME KIA did not submit the paperwork upon purchase. Three days later, with no resolution for the tow, my son eventually used AAA to have it towed the local Kia dealership. (Money out of Pocket). The diagnostics at the other dealership lasted over through the next weekend, taking another week. Now my son has had to have a rental car for over 10 days!!! Keep in mind that the Tow Package only covers 35 dollars a day. When I explained to GARY ROME KIA pre-owned vehicle sales staff that we were going to have to pay money out of pocket for the rental due to the rental costing more than $35, and diagnoses was delayed by at least 6 days because they did not submit the tow package paperwork on time, and that my son lost between 4 and 8 hours of work (more financial burden) when the car died. (Not to mention the stress of dealing with nonsense that should have never occurred when we just bought a vehicle one week prior). They didn't seem to be too concerned that I had just spent over $16,800 dollars at their business and was looking at a minimum of another $400 dollars out of pocket for a problem that should never have occurred. Being more than reasonable, I suggested to GARY ROME KIA sales managers that if they could not cover the out-of-pocket expenses which I know were going to incur, they should at least consider covering oil changes for a year or some other form of compensation for our financial losses and inconvenience. The response from STEVE LIPTAK was not that "THEY CAN'T DO THAT" that, but that they "WON'T DO THAT". I had mentioned to the sales manager Telesha (who has been very pleasant to deal with during this ordeal) to let STEVE know that I had time on my hand and would make my feelings be known with GARY ROME KIA about this whole debacle. So, the first step is to let the people of Enfield know that GARY ROME KIA does not stand by its vehicles. This was truly a case of no pressure sales--Eddie was there for us when we needed him and was ready and willing to answer questions, but didn't hound us or hover as we were checking out the car. From first look to driving off the lot, it took us one week, which was perfect and gave us time to view other cars and make an informed decision. Car also came with a limited warranty and assurances from everyone there that even outside the warranty, they'd be more than happy to help every step of the way. Couldn't recommend Hampden Trading Co. enough, especially as a first-time car buyer and young woman!

Muffler split in half, 9 year old tires balding, all break pads and rotors needed replacement, and several other things. Took them a week for their "mechanic" to get the car ready to sell, and due to work I couldn't make the drive back to drop off my car for them to fix. Several months later I called Hampden Trading CO to see if they would buy the car back with a steep discount and all the repairs. They laughed and hung up. Needless to say I should have taken action and demanded for them to fix my car, but after all the lies and distrust I wasn't sure what would have come out of me making the trip back and being without a car for a week+. Thanks Rusty!
