The waiver means she can perform whatever job she wants on you and if you don't like it, too bad. I have requested my money back and filed a complaint w the BBB. To no surprise they are not even a member of. My fiancé had to go to the actual professionals in Los Angeles to get flesh tattoo to cover a long tail that was left and completely re-shape the poor job Covet performed. I was having flashbacks of being ripped off by Cassandra for my eyebrows, and wanted to mention to the general public that just because you sign a piece of paper does not excuse shitty work... All I wanted was my money back, but she sent her response like I was supposed to just come back for touchup and this this and that...I have not had to deal with that after going to LA to elite permanent make up so be fair and give a review she doesn't know how to symmetrically place eyebrows, and she does a horrible job tattooing. I've had reservations about leaving a negative post for a business but I have to because I had my brows done there by Cassandra over a month ago now and I was confident that she would do a great job because of her website and we have a mutual friend. Evidently signing a waiver means that if your eyebrows come out horrible you still have to pay I didn't know what to think when I left but I wasn't happy and upon the healing everybody was asking me what happened to you they look terrible!! I did not want to go back to her for any sort of touchup I just wanted my money back and she would not give it to me. We did some communicating via text message and she acted like I was the problem why they didn't look great I do not like sharing bad news in fact I love to brag on people. I love to give people great referrals but I think the people should know there's a high chance that their eyebrows will come out poorly and not be symmetrical at all. I had scheduled an appt with Taylor on March 5th around 1:30pm, after researching for nearly a year on the microblading procedure. I started doing more research once the appt was made, later that evening, and read more about the long-term effects, the touchups needed, the downtime, etc., and decided I wasn't ready yet, and cancelled later that night, around 2am. I misread the website's cancellation policy, (which is my fault), and thought I would be able to get my $100 deposit back because I cancelled within 72 hours of my actual appointment. I didn't realize it was a non-refundable deposit no matter what. This was again, my fault, but I still decided to reach out politely to inquire if it would be possible to make an exception, since my appointment was only on calendar for about 4.5 business hours. I let Taylor know that it was fine if I could not, and if that was the case, to please pay the deposit forward to another client. I received the attached emails back from her, and actually didn't even notice the rude comment from Taylor to her colleague, "What would you say back to this? I can't stand people sometimes," (in regards to my email), until today. On that account, I'm leaving my review. I was going to let this go, honestly, until I saw that. I find it, first of all, poor business practice to keep a $100 deposit, if appointments are cancelled within 24 hours, let alone 4.5 actual business hours. (Shady). I also find it poor business practice, and also a poor personality, to write in a business email that you "can't stand people sometimes," because they asked politely if there was a chance the refund could be returned under the circumstances, and if not, to pay it forward to someone else. I made an appointment and was told on the phone that the fee would be $450 for micro blading with touchups costing $150 or if I wanted micro blading and shading it would be $650 and $200 for a touchup. it was quite a bit more than I'm used to paying but I thought I would give it a try. Nightmare story of getting my brows done by a lady who owned her own "salon", her completely brushing me off multiple times for my 6 week touch up, and me left wondering wtf I should do :( this is where foxy brow comes to the rescue. Really pleasant experience with my microblading brows! Taylor is a really knowledgeable woman that knows very well what she is doing, and she is truly and artist. She explains you step by step the whole process and takes the time to listen to your concerns and answers your questions. She is careful at the time the process starts and is attentive to details. In my experience I can't say I felt any pain at all. The start and end of the microblading process went by very fast since she is a really cool person to interact with and everything happened in a breeze. She is also like a human "instruction book" but better because she makes sure you understand the healing process, what to expect so you don't freak out and how to take care of it. I got microblading done at Covet and had to come back to have the lip blush treatment done after such an amazing experience with Taylor and Cass. I am someone who is very sensitive to pain and the microblading didn't hurt, the worst pain I felt from it wasn't even as bad as getting your eyebrows plucked or threaded. The lip blush did hurt the first pass because your lips are so sensitive however after the numbing cream was able to get under my skin, the pain instantly was minimal! Taylor did both of my treatments and made the whole experience completely comfortable and relaxing and Cass answered a lot of my questions before the treatments to make me feel more comfortable going in. The studio was SPOTLESS, literally so appealing to all 5 senses and was so easy to find as well as parking was so easy and quick, if there aren't spots in the parking lot there is a parking garage 100 feet away that is free! I recommend getting your eyebrows done annually which in my opinion is a small price to put for such a HUGE confidence booster. Lips don't need to be done as much, maybe go in every year or two for a touch up. I don't have words for how happy I am with my eyebrows, but I'll attempt to articulate my happiness in this review. I was originally very scared to do this as I've never done anything at all to my face. At your first visit, you can tell your artist exactly what you're looking for and even customize the color and shape of your eyebrows. My artist meticulously measured my face to get the perfect shape, and showed me the drawing before starting the microblading process. There was a bit of pain but not unbearable (the numbing cream is extremely helpful). They also give you clear aftercare instructions and ointment to treat your brows. It's been about a month since my session and I just did a touch-up, and my brows have never looked so perfect. I wish I had done this sooner. Beware of the owner. Definitely not a people person . I had my initial cut in completed. When I contacted her for my inckuded touchup she requested additional money. They charge higher than any other company I researched. I believed the skill level was worth the extra as I do like a particular arch. Cassandra is a miracle worker and an amazing artist. My brows were so super sparse that I had to fill them in before leaving the house; I just felt so naked without them. It was a cumbersome process to fill them in, shape them, use that little spoolie thing, and seal them. Plus I am lazy - I don't even wear other makeup - so naturally I looked for something to save me from this brow misery. I found Cassandra on Yelp (thanks, Yelpers!) and I had pretty high expectations because of the glowing reviews. She did not disappoint! She is kind, personable, and professional. She created really natural, beautiful brows for me; they look better than when I filled them in before. It is surreal waking up with brows. And getting right out of the shower with brows. And still having brows after a workout - they don't slide off my face. Ah-mazing. The microblading process itself is not painful: I would describe it as mild discomfort, but nothing unbearable. She applies numbing gel, but if you're worried about pain, I'd recommend bringing a couple of the stress balls to squeeze if the light scratches bother you. Parking can be tricky but I would recommend the Park It On Market garage (catty-corner to Foxy Brow). The Ace Parking monsters rule the roost here so be prepared for unannounced "special rates" on Friday afternoons or when the Padres are playing. "Special rates" = $15, otherwise I believe it's $1/hr. If you're lucky you might be able to score street parking. I would recommend Cassandra at Foxy Brow Microblading to everyone looking for a brow savior. I have no idea what I'm doing with my brows! I pluck a few on the right. Then its too much, so then a few on the left. Before I know it I have to just stop and draw them in. Once I read up on Microblading I had to get Cassandra to the rescue! She was great at explaining the process and what to expect. The day of my appointment she measured and found out I needed an arch on one side and both tails of my brows were over plucked. As for the "pain" - there is none. Crazy!! It kinda feels like repetitive scratches. After the procedure I had a party to go to and my brows were not red or puffy! I absolutely love waking up and not having to deal with drawing the right shape brows everyday. And there is no way you can draw these fine lines that look like individual hairs with any pencil! 100% recommend!! read more
