Randy had his truck "Cowboy Eats" at Independent Brewing where we came to experience some of the local brews. I had the "Bacon Blue Burger" tonight and it was severed just at the right temperature that I had requested - it was absolutely delicious The locally sourced beef from Roseda Angus Beef Farm! My wife had the "Softie" a soft shell crab burger with their Boom-Boom sauce - also absolutely delicious! Along with our burgers, we had their fries and onion rings - served piping hot and fresh in a generous portion. You need to check him out! Ordered the pit Turkey sandwich which tasted like old lunch meat on a bun. Second was the fried chicken sandwich that was massively over cooked and the chicken then tasted like rubber. Finally my daughter got the kids grilled cheese and fries. Fries were cold and hard like they came from the bottom of the deep fryer and they used the butt end of the bread with white American cheese. Overpriced and under delivered. Not a good experience, with service and food. The food prep area inside looked disgusting. There was a side door open that I had a pretty good view of the kitchen area, ugh it was nasty. Had what was supposed to be a pulled turkey sandwich. Bread was stale and turkey was dry and not even warm. So not doing this food truck again. The guy who appeared to be in charge was a tool when I mentioned the sandwich was cold and bread stale. Ordered: Twin Peaks Pretzel with beer cheese, and the Mac Attack Burger Service: The lady taking my order seemed fairly nice, and the food arrived within an appropriate amount of time. Food: Everything, and I mean everything, was cold. The beer cheese seemed almost as if it had taken out of the fridge and just left out to achieve "room" temperature. I really wanted to like this place. I really did. I love barbecue and I love softshell crabs So it seems like a perfect place for me. But I did not like it, quite the opposite. To start off they were out of all of their barbecue meats except for ham and hot dogs by 7:00 at a location that went till 11:00. That just seems like poor planning on their part. As they didn't have any pit beef or pulled pork barbecue, I went ahead and got a $16 soft shelled crab sandwich, a $5 order of fries and a $12 burger for my fiancee. I know crab isn't cheap but for $16 for just the sandwich I was expecting a pretty bomb softshell crab sandwich. Boy was I disappointed. The crab was tiny and didn't even extend past the edge of the cheap bread it was served on. In my mind a good soft shelled crab should be breaded, crispy and have a note of Old Bay. This crab was wet soggy and tasteless. To top it off, my fiancee's burger wasn't much better. Again the burgers were absolutely tiny ( like 3.5 inch across and thin) and were served on shitty cheap buns. While it would have been perfectly acceptable for a backyard barbecue at your broke friend's house, It was absolutely not what I thought I was getting for a $12 (sandwich only) burger without table service. And just to top it all off, the fries were also a tiny amount although they were passable as fries. I mean come on guys it's potatoes and peanut oil. They're super cheap. Just give me enough that I can be full! Oh and I forgot that I waited 25 minutes in a line of approximately 12 people, and then still had to wait another 15 mins to actually get my food. The bottom line is their food is overpriced too small, cheap, not well made and slow to boot. read more

We were at Independent Brewing Company on Saturday, May 6th and ordered the Fat Bastard burger. My burger was burnt, there was no flavor to the brisket or burger, and i barely could taste any bacon.....then the worst part was the fake cheese. The best part of a cheeseburger is real cheese. The food truck was advertised as a farm to table experience. Typically I wouldnt expect farm to table coming from a truck but we rolled the dice. One of the specials for the night was a chicken and waffle sandwich and I was willing to give it a run (8$ sandwich). Boy oh boy was I disappointed. Terrible! The hot dog, they cut it in half and only give you one half! I laughed at that because the price you pay for what you get should have been half or less!! I ordered chicken tenders for my small daughter was a little chicken breast cut into small strips, like you would put on a salad! The cheese fries with "beer cheese" (and its not even real beer cheese or cheap crap cheese they are buying) and bacon was like $10. You dont get a lot of fries for this price, sprinkled bacon extra $3!!. Sandwiches are not worth the money - 13 bucks for a sandwich and although good amount of meat, not worth it. HORRIBLE food experience. This food truck was at an event that I attended. I ordered a burger, which was very overpriced. Secondly, the burger was very tough, dried out and tasteless. The roll was even on the stale side. I'm not sure how anyone eats the food from this truck, but I would not recommend it to anyone. The woman at the window was pleasant enough but the guy who I think was cooking was plain obnoxious. I wouldn't even give one star, except there is no choice. Horrible experience!!! So bad. Gave them two chances. Fries are frozen. Tacos tasted like taco bell tacos. Tried again with a burger and steak quesadillas. Burger tasted premade..edible at least.
