3rd visit in as many years and the place has some good drinks and happy hour specials. Note: Happy Hour is over at 5pm as not to be confused with dinner hour. We arrived at 4:50 and didn't get seated because the hostess was juggling phone calls. Our server didn't arrive at the table until 5:02 and we asked about happy hour. Bottom line we didn't beat the bewitching hr./5pm. They do not offer chips and salsa as a welcome snack. Their food over our past dinings has never been great. Tonight I had a pastor burrito and my wife had a shrimp burrito. Both dishes were meeh with a rubbery like tortilla. The best dish we have had is their bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. Our waitress was friendly and quick enough, but it did seem to take awhile for our food to come out once ordered and a while for the check when we were done.. (They were busy not packed). It is nice they serve a breakfast/brunch menu - not a lot of Mexican places do that. I ordered the Pollo con Rajas. The onion cream sauce was fantastic, black beans great, rice (arroz blanco) okay- it had great flavor and I don't mind a little crunch, but there's a fine line between crunch and dried out, and this was getting close. My husband said he couldn't complain about his Enchiladas Verde, but he didn't have any glowing response either. Overall, the food isn't bad, it's that it's a bit overpriced for what you get. Free chips and salsa (it is $5, and the chips are fried leftover flour tortillas that either puff and crumble to bits, or burn), or even throwing in a few flour tortillas with a meal with about 5oz of chicken if I'm being generous, would round out the meal, and make you feel you got more of your moneys worth overall. We tried this restaurant for lunch in a Sunday and it did not disappoint. The menu was great with a nice variety of Mexican cuisine. The appetizers , quesadillas and tacos were excellent. Very fresh, well prepared and good portions. The service was also too notch. The food came quickly and they were on top of everything. They didn't miss a beat here. Mucho Gusto felt more like Mucho Decepcionación. I was given a $50 dollar gift card which I thought would surely cover a dinner date for two. That was a joke. When I walked in I immediately knew this was going to be a let down. The cheap metal chairs they have are the same uncomfortable ones my college had. It looks like it was decorated for influencers with a fake vegetation wall with a tacky neon sign perfect for your photo op. For being an expensive restaurant it looked so incredibly cheap and tacky. After we were seated I began to try and figure out what I could afford when one elote, which is an ear of corn with butter, crema, and spices is $8. I got a $15 margarita expecting like most restaurants that it's going to be a big glass. I got this very pretty drink but it was half the size of what I expected. We got a dinner combo (taco and enchilada) and a plate of nachos. The plate of nachos was about the same price as the old Chili's nacho platter, only difference was Chili's was bigger and better. In regard to both dishes there was more onion than there was beef or chicken. Unless you like bougie influencer places with overpriced, bland food and cheap uncomfortable furniture, this isn't worth the visit. read more

First of all, the restaurant seems empty because we arrived a few minutes after opening. Second, I really like this restaurant. Donna, our waitress, greeted us with a professional demeanor and a big smile. Donna understood the value of indulging customers questions and investing a few minutes in developing a return customer. She was quite patient in dealing with my party as I warned her that I was the only one who orders right off the menu. My daughter's fajitas would have been beautiful and much more delicious if prepared the way the chef intended. Everyone enjoyed their meal and it is safe to say that we will be back. read more

Visited Mucho gusto for Cinco de mayo celebration this year, figured I'd share some more pictures! Yet again, this place delivered great food. I tried the shrimp tacos for the first time (I wasn't impressed with shrimp fajitas so I stayed away from shrimp tacos for a while) and I am happy to say that it might be the best taco option on the menu. Service is always fast. Even on cinco de mayo, we were able to get a table in 30 minutes (originally told us 45min but got called earlier). After initially trying this spot during Happy Hour, we've been back a few times. They're located a bit off the beaten path in a smaller strip of shops. A nice bar area with a good amount of high top tables. Also, a decent sized dining area. We ordered their Nachos with steak. Right amount of cheese to chips ratio and generous amount of seasoned and delicious steak. Shrimp Empanadas & Taquitos were excellent. The Margaritas are a speciality. The Spicy Margarita is one of the best I've had! On another visit, they happened to not have the Birria Tacos so we ordered the Carnitas Tacos and unfortunately they were a miss-the meat wasn't seasoned and lacked flavor. That said we also ordered a Chicken Chimichanga to share and enjoyed it. I would say this is elevated Tex Mex so prices are higher and portions are reasonable but not over the top. Service has been upbeat and friendly on all of our visits. They do get busy for dinner especially on the weekends and atmosphere is loud and upbeat. Hey guys. Had a craving for Mexican food after spending a Saturday afternoon at Orioles game in Camden Yards. We were able to get immediate seating around 7:30PM. Usually, this place is very busy on Saturday nights. There was live music. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We ordered chips and salsa, steak tacos, fish tacos, and tostado. Had a great experience at Mucho Gusto! I bookmarked this new addition a few months ago and I was not disappointed! When we arrived, our family was warmly greeted by the staff. Getting out with twins that are toddlers, is not the easiest. The hostess took note of this and put us in the semi-private room. I stopped by here on a Monday afternoon for happy hour with two of my girlfriends. We were quickly able to sit at the bar and order drinks. Collectively, we ordered a couple of appetizers and the enchiladas poblanas. Everything was delicious! It tasted very authentic and fresh, and happy hour prices on margaritas were decent. COVID-wise, the restaurant did a pretty good job. The tables were distanced and staff were in masks. My only wish is that the seats at the bar were a little more spaced out. If there is ever tres leches on the menu, I *have to* order it. I love the extra touches - three flavored syrups, maraschino cherry, pirouline. I've been wanting to visit this spot for awhile now-- so I stopped by for Happy Hour I know we're here for the food review, but Let's speak aesthetics I love the cute vibes from the time you make it thru the doors, to the openness of this spot, the semi-private section area sooo cute (reservations required) & the bathroom- clean! Happy Hour was nice to try. I started with Nachos (no meat) it was okay, moved on to shrimp empanadas- I wasn't pleased it was over fried & had maybe 4 baby shrimps total. For dessert- which is really why I came I had Churros- not the greatest but good- they tasted refried... & no caramel sauce only chocolate. For my drink I had a Swinging Señorita (off regular drink menu). It was DELICIOUS! All in all, I give 5 for the experience/fast service/great customer service. We found this restaurant on Yelp and decided to have dinner there . It was too cold to sit outside so we got a table inside but spaced far apart , We loved the space and the original art and the food was terrific. There is a great vibe here as well . The food is not Tex Mex which thrilled us having traveled in Mexico we know the difference. Oaxaca style dishes seem to dominate & since this is a well known Mexican cuisine it's a good bet . The portions are generous and prices reasonable. I have Flan for dessert and it was the best I ever had . We look forward to eating here again . read more

Ordered carryout last night and we couldn't believe how bland the food was, just no seasoning or spice. Even the chips had no salt. The chips are otherwise excellent but they need some sea salt. I did not like that we did not get chips and salsa at the table by default-- like most conventional Mexican restaurants give you. You have to pay an extra four dollars (?) for mediocre chips.. the salsa was pretty good. Back to the main dish: The burrito was lacking flavor. it wasn't the worst but it was probably a 6 out of 10. The steak was good. In the burrito, it had the common toppings and the cheese was definitely prominent and went well. Plating was also nice! The queso dip was not very good the texture was off it's not your average queso. not to mention with the guacamole in the case so we still had to ask for extra chips because the one basket that we had already paid for was not enough and I guess you don't get refills on chips either. It was also pretty expensive for everything considering I was so underwhelmed. This place is far from authentic but works if you want something trendy/convenient. Reminds me a bit of tex mex. All in all I wouldn't go out of my way to go back to this restaurant.. but I would probably take out a burrito if it was the only thing available or if it was the closest to where I was at at the time. read more

Finally had the chance to get to Mucho Gusto and was glad I did. Definitely not a tex-mex joint, so know that going in. Our house margaritas were flavorful and actually had tequila in them! From nachos made just the way I like - with cheese uniformly throughout- no skimpy little 1/8 of a cup just on the top, to a most excellent and zippy/spicy tamale to the poblano enchiladas, that were tasty and filling we felt the food was solid. The standout? Birria tacos. Moist, flavorful, addicting. Disappointments? The salsa needs to be more flavorful..and the chips that came to the table were bland... yes, I'm sure they were the same ones in the nachos but the nacho toppings saved them.
