Shake Shack located inside Yorkdale Mall, second floor right before you hit the food court…read more This was my first time having Shake Shack in Canada, all previous experiences were in the states. You order through the self serve kiosks and wait for your number to be called for food pick up. Pretty spacious with their seating and area. I thought it was great in taste but the burgers are surprisingly really tiny for what you're paying for. ShackBurger 4/5 - Made with Angus beef, lettuce, tomato and Shacksauce on a potato bun. It was quite tasty but very small - like the size of my small palm. SmokeShack 4/5 - Angus beef cheeseburger with applewood-smoked bacon, shopped cherry peppers, and shack sauce. Tasty! Overall, I thought the food was good and service was good. But I just can't get over how small the burgers itself were - didn't really feel like it was worth it at all.

So it was that we found ourselves at the Yorkdale Shake Shack on a recent Saturday morning. The ordering process via the automated kiosks was super easy and the food was ready within minutes. We wound up trying the crossover's entire lineup: Spicy Vodka Chicken Parm, Pizza Fries & Creamy Pepperoncini Dip, and Brio Chinotto Shake. Everything was quite tasty, although nothing really knocked my socks off. The sandwich reminded me of countless other similar concoctions, the fries were flavorful but way too salty, and the milkshake was definitely reminiscent of Brio (which is both a good and bad thing). I think I'll probably just stick with the superior and always-reliable hamburgers when I go to Shake Shack.

I thought they would wrap it in romaine lettuce like In N out. But instead I just got a salad. This was quite possibly the worst burger I've ever had. The meat patty itself was cold and dry... The condiments were fresh and their sauce which taste like thousand island dressing similar to the big mac sauce was quite tasty. But nothing can save a burger if the beef patty itself sucks. It's original price is $8.49. Who would pay $8.49 for this ? Even with BOGO, I felt like it wasn't worth it. Not to mention the "burger" was tiny! What a disappointment. I'd much rather just get a burger at any other fast food establishment. Suffice to say, I will never come back.

There were a decent amount of options for cheeseburgers, and two different hot dogs you can order. Order the combo and you'll get fries and a drink with your protein. I got the high priest burger and regular hamburger while staying nearby, and both times the burger hit the spot. They also give a lot of fries, so it's a good place to go while hungry. Located in a small strip mall, there's also subs, a salad place, generic looking burrito place, and a Turkish restaurant nearby. I walked over, but looks like there is plenty of parking spaces available. You bus your own table, and they call your name at the counter when your order is ready. Easy peasy - you want a quick easy meal with some special sauce on top, come here.

I try to be thoughtful and fair with every review, especially when I'm new to an area and relying…read moreon a restaurant's photos and menu descriptions to decide what to order. I chose the spicy chicken sandwich with coleslaw and Cajun fries through Uber Eats based strictly on how it was presented. Delivery took a while, which I understand isn't always within the restaurant's control. Unfortunately, the food itself didn't match the expectations set by the photos. The chicken tasted low quality, with an unappealing texture and very little flavor. The fried coating lacked crispness and seasoning, the pickles looked different from what was pictured, and the sandwich overall felt hastily assembled. The coleslaw also tasted low quality and didn't elevate the dish. I was hungry and still couldn't finish more than a few bites. The Cajun fries were underwhelming as well, with seasoning that felt basic rather than bold. I requested extra ketchup but received only one packet, and the two sides of dressing came in a very small plastic ramekin that didn't feel proportionate to the order. This may be intended as fast food, and I'm open to that, but when a restaurant presents elevated visuals on Uber Eats, the expectation is that the delivered product reflects that standard. Based on this experience, I wouldn't order again and regret choosing this spot.
