Shout out to the team at Cox Euclid. I first met Markeese over the phone when my elderly parents had an issue with their remote. I went in and he had the remote waiting for me ready to go. Next time I talked with Markeese was when I switched carriers for phones and internet. Markeese went above and beyond with his excellent customer service. While there at the store I saw interactions with other customers and other employees. The entire team displayed IMPECCABLE customer service. I recently cancelled my cable because I can't afford $175 a month. I returned the equipment with the help of an amazing team member named Kevin. He was professional and made me feel like I mattered. Thank you Kevin. The next day I got an email stating that I had not returned their phone router. I was told that since it was over 15 days, if I didn't find it I would owe $122. I still have internet with them using my own router/modem. I had returned it years ago. I went back to the store and Kevin helped me again. He suggested filling out a claim to see if it had been turned into their warehouse. He asked the manager Edwardo, to help with this. This man suggested I wasn't telling the truth, I was being aggressive and I should go home and look for it. I'm guessing the the manager would never had said that to a man. Today I brought my 90 year old friend into the store to help her change her phone service over to Cox from another carrier. She didn't know her account number from her previous carrier and didn't have the app either, or remember her password to download the app. Fortunately, James S. came to the rescue! Writing this review I am SHOCKED to see they only have a 1.9 rating. Today I had to venture out to get a new phone. This is a little of a challenge as I am a mother of 2 under 2, with my youngest being 3 weeks old. We have not made too many solo outings with out the help of dad. But dad had to work, and I needed a new phone. I give this long explanation because if anyone reading this is a parent you know the challenge of rallying a toddler a newborn and making everyone happy, not crying, and getting done what you set out to get done. When I walked into the store I was greeted by almost the whole store. James came to assist me. I explained I needed a new phone and asked how long it would take. he said the process to get everything going did take some time. I was stressed as my toddler had just fallen asleep in the car and I knew the struggle it was gunna be to set up the stroller and pray she wouldn't wake up as I got her and the newborn situated and brought back in. The staff immediately told me not to stress. to park my car in front of the store so I could see my toddler sleeping, and then they would send security out to keep an eye on her while I signed what I needed to sign with my newborn, and then I could wait in my car with my girls while they set everything up. They would then bring me my new phone to my car. I can not express how absolutely mom friendly and amazing this experience was. I desperately needed to get my phone working and they made it so easy to get done while I had my girls with me. But came to cox on Euclid since I work in downtown and it's on my way home. James made the process easy as he was training a new hire. James was very helpful and told me the offers that I qualified for at my old address that I didn't even know about. My experience with Cox internet and customer service was absolutely terrible. In the year I used Cox, my internet service was down so frequently - which is unacceptable when you work from home. I canceled my service when I moved out of state, called customer service to give to them my forwarding address. I then received my final bill and I paid it. Turns out I had overpaid and Cox owned me money. I called customer service twice to figure out when they would pay me. They did not have my forwarding address on file which is strange because I had given it to them when I canceled. When I updated the address again with them, they said they'd send out the check out in less than 15 business days. That was over three months ago. I'll never be seeing that money back again. I'm sire you guys ha e read my first review . I wrote too much and I had to cut some off. I paid my bill through the machines they have located in this branch. Cox rejected the payment. Didn't even go through to my bank when I called I was told I paid with a different account. The account number that was read back wasn't my account number. The problem I asked them is how could the account be changed ? She read back the account number I've been using for years. I told her that's my account,the machine took that payment on the 3rd she stated on the 5th a whole other account was entered. I asked how Could that happen and I explained that is a mistake of you guys part. They changed the account number and tried to said I did . I was on a flight to Chicago on the 5th.. I was given a reference number and was told paperwork would be sent out to correct this. Ask me have I gotten anything ? I haven't and Cox also added a $25 dollar fee . Be careful when dealing with Cox. I've never bounced a check and accordingly my bank I still haven't. Cox made a mistake which it happens but it happens too much this is why I pay with check to begin with. I paid with my credit card so they couldn't mess up again. Which is the way I will be paying from now on. They haven't sent the forms. Haven't tried to correct the problem or anything but they were threatening to shut my internet down bot even two weeks after they messed up. So this is going to be a very long one, so here's the summary if you don't read it all. I received some of the worst customer service I have ever had by Adriana. Tito helped, but also did some very wrong things. Will never ever get cox again for the rest of my life. Now. This is how my situation COULD have gone. And it's all so simple. I walk into this cox store on Euclid Ave with the modem that I was instructed to return while on chat customer service. I'm checked in. I get called by Adriana who is cheerful and greets with a smile. I'm asked what I needed. I respond with I'm returning the modem and I give my info for her to look up. She responds that unfortunately it looks like the modem is supposed to stay in my unit, and the my service is still active. I respond that a week ago I was on customer service chat for my service to be shut off and I was instructed to return the modem to a store. She apologizes for the miscommunication and says she can shut off my service and and sees if she can get a manager to back date the service to when I wanted it off. She then apologizes about having to take my modem back to my unit and offers me her business card if there are any other questions I might have further. I leave a little annoyed, but its all done. Boom. That's it. Done. But oh did it go so much worse. It could have been so easy... I was greeted warmly by a guy who checked me in. That was the ONLY thing that went right. Adriana called me over with no smile or any happy countenance. I get it, it probably sucks to work for cox, but she's the one who signed on the line and accepts the paycheck. She asks what I needed. I responded I'm returning the modem and gave my info. She very rudely tells me I'm wasn't supposed to bring the modem and points at the sticker that has my unit number on it. I take her attitude off guard and say that I was on the customer service chat a week ago and I've said it was to be shut off on the 25th and to return the modem to a store. She shrugs and said that my service is still active. I'm so taken off guard that she has an attitude and trying to educate me and offers no help. I ask to see a manager right now. She says loudly, "EXCUSE ME?" I say it again, and she tells me to sit on the bench and wait. I clearly know im gonna wait forever now so I get on the phone with customer service. I'm greeted by Ely who hears my whole story in horror. I try to find the name of the woman who I talked to first and she has no name tag. I walk to the front to the employees standing outside since its not busy to ask what her name is. She hears, walks away from the customer she was "helping" and stomps to a cupboard slams it, and stomps towards me with her card. Then the very plus sized security guard tells me to take my phone call outside, in which I respond that I'm on the phone with cox customer service. Ely is horrified and asks to give my phone to the guy I was talking to up front. I respond I don't want to give my $1200 phone to him, and he says put him on speaker phone. I do. This employees name is Tito. He starts fighting with Ely saying that he is in the wrong department to be handling this. By now im embarrassed and my heart is racing and I'm being treated like a karen for no reason. Ely takes Titos attitude with grace and asks if he can make sure my needs are met. Then Tito takes me to another computer and takes my modem and tries to find my info. He struggles and I'm thinking, of course you can't connect... it's cox internet. While he struggles he tell me this... "You know, you get the bad energy you put out in the world." I bit my tongue so hard it bled. I said just cancel my account. I wanted to respond, " Is that what you want to say to Adriana?" He cancels my account and back dates it and shows me the conformation on my screen. Let me say this... THANK GOD tmobile and Verizon have home internet now. It's way cheaper than cox, works just fine for streaming and gaming, and the customer service is impeccable. I have never had one issue with it. I'd give zero stars if I could. When I moved into my new apartment this past year, I called and spoke to an employee at the Euclid Ave store who told me they have a promotion with 1 gig blast for $30 for the first month, then $69.99 for months 2 - 24. There would be no contract and I could cancel whenever I wanted. I was then sent an automated email of my order confirmation (see picture), which was not straightforward with the pricing that I'd discussed on the phone. It turned out that when I received my first bill, the price was actually $119.99 per month and I was only going to receive a $40 discount for the first month only! This was not all like anything the employee had stated on the phone so I called again and was told months 12-24 would be when I would see a significant discount. As I neared month 12, I called and was told my rate will continue at $119.99 for the remainder of the term and that I also would be penalized for early termination before the 24 months was up. Now that I actually have another option for internet service in my building, I quickly signed up with Google Fiber for way less in price, also 1 gig, and without being locked in a term. So I can back on a "bad connection " tell the story AGAIN and they repeat back that WiFi and phone is active and TV is gone. So then I state why was there a problem, and then they try to explain why "internet removal" doesn't mean internet removal. The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. These people are absolutely horrible, literally the worst people I ever met. We returned the modem/router combo back to them because we didn't want it and ours was way better. I guess out of spite they just turned off our internet. These people are the absolute worst people and I hope in those 11 months since that happened their staff got fired. Literally gave my mother so much anxiety and was treated her so badly that when she went back to get the internet turned back on she broke down and cried. They do not care about you and will mess with your internet just for fun. They didn't even give her a good reason why they wouldn't turn it back on they basically said, hey you didn't want our equipment so we guess you didn't want internet. All we wanted was to return to the old equipment we have been using but they are petty snakes they were like nah live without internet, how dare you return this back to us. I hope all of them were fired. We ended up having to fix it through customer support after being in the phone for 3 hours. Yesterday I needed to show 2 forms of ID and reschedule my residential cable/internet installation so I went to the Euclid "Solution Store". (ummmm, yeah... if your problem happens to be that you didn't know how to sink even MORE of your time into dealing with this company) They have a big security guard walking around in the store which seemed odd since I wouldn't have assumed cable service to be a cash business or have much to steal of high street value (there is no security guard at my T-Mobile store) but the area here is not good so I'm guessing security is a plus. After setting up my cable/internet install appointment (again, as this was a REschedule of the install guy not showing up at the appointed time), my sales guy easily talked me into comparing my current home security system with theirs by telling me: 1) COX's home security service would only be about $15 more a month since I was installing cable/internet so I could save some money {you got my attention, keep talking...} 2) COX's home security sales rep would come "during the same appointment window as the cable/internet install so it would be convenient since I had to be home anyway" {bam! you just said the magic words...} Sure, I may be cool with receiving a sales pitch when it can reduce a current expense, but not being inconvenienced is the way to close this kind of sales pitch. A few hours later I noticed the 2 emails confirming my home security sales call AND SINCE I DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AT ALL BY THIS POINT I ACTUALLY READ THE AUTO-GENERATED EMAILS and good thing too because I see that my internet/cable installation appointments were AT DIFFERENT TIMES AND ON DIFFERENT DAYS... Keep in mind this same guy gave me BOTH appointments during the same 20 minute conversation and I did not agree to the appointment until he pointed out that I would have to be home during that time slot anyway... Now, I am a nice person and I would normally have assumed the guy made an innocent mistake (even though NEITHER the date nor time overlaps...) but after dealing with these kinds of encounters EACH and EVERY SINGLE time I have tried to give my business to this company, I am seriously left wondering if when he went back to the computer to schedule the sales call, if maybe there was no overlapping sales reps available during my window and so didn't communicate that problem in hopes of me just happening to be home when the sales rep knocked...??? COX, FYI - YOUR CUSTOMERS STOP GIVING YOU THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT WHEN YOU KEEP SCREWING THEM OVER AT EACH AND EVERY TURN... I would not have posted about this seemingly mildly annoying issue except that it simply highlights the SIGNIFICANT investment of time you can expect to spend trying to UNDO COX's MULTIPLE similar brain-dead mistakes (click on my list of other reviews to see my review of what it is like to do business with them) and that's someone who didn't even have their service yet... I got Cox internet and the man who was helping me, I believe his name is "Bobby" never told me about how there are extra charges in my internet. I got my bill and had a $20 fee on my account. I've been having the same issue with cox cable last 6 months. I've only had the service for 7months I've had techs out here over 4 time and probably reported this at least 7 times and still my tv service continues to lag. Picture will randomly stop while sound continues to work or vice versa. Sometimes both sill stop. These issue will happen in spirts last in from 20 sec to 20 min. If I switch Channels then return to the channel I was watching it seams to reset it but I shouldn't have to do that. They have replaced all my cables, my modem, my cable box multiple times with no luck or improvement. They won't let me out of my contract, can't fix the issue and every time they come out it cost ME more money due to missing work. read more

Have been scheduling installations for over 2 weeks and each technician is not qualified to do the job so we have to keep rescheduling with notes saying exactly what we need installed but when the tech calls they are unable to do it because they don't know how. Why do they hire people that are not qualified to do their job or why not train them. Everyone I speak to on the phone says something different as well. 2 weeks going on 3 and still no internet with notes that say we need to reschedule. Just left this cox store and was treated very poorly. We went in because two payments were taken from my checking account by Cox. This is the third time this has happened. The woman working their named Giselle said it was my fault for this error. We asked to speak to a supervisor he happened to be right next to her. He said, "I'm off not helping with that". Walked in to switch out my modem. I was greeted as soon as I stepped in, helped by Danielle within seconds. She offered the TV/Cable upgrade, she showed me the remote and explained all the features. I told her I was not interested, and she was not pushy about it. She swapped my modem and walked me out. Very happy with the customer service. The representative laughed when I asked about my current service like it was funny because I was paying basically the same amount for 150 mbps then the gig. It was funny the company was getting away with this.
