I had to reach out to the shop. Was placed on hold then hung up on. Called back, then was directed to the owner who consistently spoke over me and eventually hung up on me. Owner essentially told me to kick rocks and to talk to a lawyer. Current: Awaiting feedback from establishment owner regarding taking my vehicle elsewhere to have the repair looked over, paint corrected to remove swirls and detailed to remove staining, to fix what was damaged by the shop and out of the scope of the original repair. Update: July 29th pickup. Issues under the hood appear to have been addressed. Missing screws were replaced, fan and airbox were attached. However, my car was now poorly washed, residue streaks running down the vinyl on my trunk, windshield, etc. from soap that was not rinsed off. For some reason my hood and the front quarter panels over the wheel wells had now been buffed and done in an extremely poor manner, the entire hood is covered in swirl marks as well as the quarter panels over my wheel wells. Interior gray trim and leather center console now have black stains from something being sprayed on them and sitting. Documentation does not have original intake miles when my car was dropped off on the 15th, when I asked what the miles were, I was directed to review the state inspection which occurred on the 22nd, a week after I dropped my vehicle off. Variance in miles after inspection was done and when my vehicle was picked up. Original post: My experience is still in progress for a Progressive insurance claim regarding hitting a deer and front end damage. Vehicle was dropped off on July 15th to have the condenser, front fascia and grille replaced. Repairs were completed and the vehicle was inspected on July 22nd. However, upon picking up my vehicle today, July 24nd it was sitting out front on display, windows down & covered in bird excrement. After the repairs had been completed? Why is my car still being driven if the repair is done? As well, no one walked me through the repair, only backed it up for me and told me the keys were in it. Upon inspecting it myself, I found improper screws, missing screws, my airbox was not properly attached, the condenser fan was not properly attached either. got in a small fender bender that damaged a quarter panel and my front bumper. the first time I picked it up it looked like someone watched a YouTube tutorial and tried to DIY the repair, so I sent it back. I came back to pick up my vehicle and there was still bad panel gaps, and overspray from paint under my vehicle. I sent it back again. I came to pick it up a third time and everything looked alright, until I went to wash my car and my garden hose removed the paint from the front bumper. the had great customer service at least but there quality control is terrible read more

So I have a 05 GMC Yukon the rockers where completely rusted out and had a rust hole in drivers rear quarter panel and a few dents that needed fixing. The totally blew me away with the attention to detail on the body work and went above and beyond the scope of work I asked them to do. GET SOMEBODY ELSE TO DO IT!!!... I dropped my vehicle off to have the quarter panel replaced. It took them a month to repair the vehicle. I was told initially it would be 2 weeks. At 2 weeks, I was told it would be another week or two. Customer service is not their specialty... poor communication as they didn't provide status updates in reference to delay of completion (I had to call every time to find out what was going on.) to them ignoring you when you walk in to the front counter. I wouldn't recommend them even if they were doing work for free. read more

If I could not select a star for this review it's what I'd do. Amanda is the person they give the phone too for when you need an update on your car. She's a liar and horrible at multitasking. Gives you false information and has an excuse for everything. Never take your car here to be fixed. They'll give you an estimated date on your car to be done and then fail to mention to you that it's going to be longer than what they expected. Tells you one update after trying to call and get an updated after a week of her avoiding your calls and lies about the update she gives you. Purposely avoids taking calls just because she doesn't want to do her job. If you looked up unprofessional in the dictionary , her picture is right next to the word. This place is HORRIBLE. 0/10 would recommend. read more

Two years after having my exhaust system replaced with Coxton's (actually Meineke did the work since they don't have a muffler shop), my car failed state inspection due to an exhaust leak. Geico guarantees all repairs for life, so I took it back to Coxton's, and they fixed the leak free of charge within a few minutes. I had had problems with them stealing change from my console in the past so I left a shiny quarter just to see if they would steal it. They did not. read more

I stopped in quickly to see if they could have any success pulling out a dent in my truck, the gentleman who assisted me improved the damaged area and even applied some polish to the scratched paint, in and out in less than 10 minutes, some nice/generous assistance rendered, and improved the damage. We have been to Coxton many times, each time we have had issues with overspray. It has been so bad as half the car had overspray. Then we have to return sometimes several times to get it fixed. The paint was buffed so much one time they buffed the gloss off the plastic mirrors and rear deflector. After many complaints, they finally repainted this to get even more overspray on another part of the car. Out insurance company keeps recommending them so we have little choice of where to take it. This last visit was the last straw and may result in litigation. First, when we came to get the car they had pressure-washed it and blown paint right off the back of the car hatch. I went straight back in and showed it to them, the shop manager said he didn't do it, the car was like that. I had already paid as we were going to pick it up after they close. I came to get the car and they had tried to touch up where the paint was missing and it looks terrible. Then on the ride home, the tire sensor light came on, they had painted the rim and removed the tire. Found out there wasn't even a sensor anymore just a regular valve stem, they took the tire off broke the sensor then just put a regular valve stem back on and left it that way. When I went to take the tire off the yhad over tightened all the lug nuts so tight when I tried to use a breaker bar I almost broke two off. Lugs were stretched and now unuseable and have to have the hub replaced. Contacting Coxton fell on deft ears so I guess a lawsuit is the only resource at this point. read more

One star, because my vehicle has been repaired...I think. I had damage to my front bumper repaired here after getting stuck in a ditch. I'm not from the area, so I took a leap of faith using the nearest Geico authorized repair center. What a mistake. The vehicle was towed to the auto body shop by Geico. Coxton's actually never contacted me regarding my repairs until I reached out to them. I will say the work took less time than promised. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I was told "it's out front waiting for you." No one ever took the time to review the work that had been done. So after paying $500 cash (no credit/debit cards accepted - WTF), I drove home to find a sidewall tear in a tire that had been flat. I immediately called the body shop, was told the adjuster on site approved that a replacement be ordered, and I could come back the next business day to have it put on. I did receive a call saying my tire had come in the following Monday, but suddenly there'd be an additional charge. Really, you decide to share this with me an hour before I'm coming back to the shop...and of course you don't accept credit cards. The insurance adjuster, who was filling in for someone else's absence, was very apologetic and ended up working this out on the financial side. But after leaving the shop for a second time...I noticed a severe shake in the steering wheel. This time, I immediately turned around. I waited another hour to be told that the problem was with a wheel on the other side of the vehicle. I asked the mechanic to explain to me why said tire wasn't causing a problem until he replaced a different tire. He couldn't explain this...and actually went on to say I likely had a problem in the steering of my vehicle...perhaps I just never noticed it before. Whatever they did, when I left, the steering issue was resolved. In my mind, the new tire hadn't been balanced correctly. I'm not sure these people have a clue what they're doing - in the office or in the shop. I'd never return. Go elsewhere...anywhere else. read more

Wish I could of given Coxtons something above a one star but the communication is difficult, I was "told" that my Jeep hood would be fixed instead of replaced and I did not pick up a finished product. We had our 2015 Jeep Cherokee worked on after we hit a deer on the blue ridge parkway on the 4th of July weekend. Since my honey had his truck fixed here and USAA recommended Coxton I brought the Jeep in to get it repaired. This has been a nightmare! I in no way approved my 2015 Jeep to be bondod but was "told" that was going to happen if they did not find a new hood to replace the existing one. WTH? Then immediately after picking the Jeep up from Coxtons the sensors were still not working, so we brought the Jeep back in only to find that it had to be brought in to the Jeep dealer. Why this wasn't done in the first place is beyond me. Now I am running around to get my Jeep complete. My Jeep was in for 3 days for something that Coxtons said should of taken a minute to be reset. Coxton never replaced the sensor as stated in the final bill. Very dishonest and low quality job. It is now over a month later and the Jeep is still NOT done. Why USAA has this shop as one of the preferred shops is beyond me. read more

I am restoring my 1985 Monte Carlo SS. The car needed major body work. I brought the car to Coxton based on previous work done on other vehicles and recommendations from friends. I spoke directly to the owner, Glen, and we set up a deal that Coxton would do all requested body work but since the car was 35 years old and parts can be really difficult to acquire, I would supply all required parts. I had the front end, hood, rear bumper, and other small parts replaced. Acquiring the parts took a few months. After the body work was complete, I had the entire car reprimand and painted. Coxton's team made my 1985 SS look like it did when it was new in the show room. I could not have been more pleased with all the work they performed. Attention to detail right down to the decals. In addition, Coxton kept in touch with me as the work progressed to make sure all the work was being done was what I wanted. Glen even called me to double check on the paint color. We are out of state (Fla.) and our college daughter's car was towed to Coxton's after a collision in Virginia. They were professional and, despite it being the holidays, managed to finish the repair within the needed time frame. They were excellent at communicating with us- updating by texts and by phone.
