I'm so glad we added this spot to our itinerary! Hands down the best Wisconsin old-fashioned I've ever had. The atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. Service was great as well!

Outstanding!! As if the full parking lot on a random Tuesday in October (off season) wasn't already a clue!! First, a word of advice: plan for a bit of a wait if you want to sit inside. But it's worth it, though we got a table outside right away. And the heaters on the deck were great. Not the typical water view of Door County, but still lovely! The food was excellent. Definitely recommend the onion loaf as a starter. Highly recommend the chili! They had a German plate special tonight which was unique and very good-- knockwurst, weisswurst, german potato salad, red cabbage and rye bread. Hubs had the Reuben, and also really liked it. And when in Wisconsin, gotta do the Old Fashioned!

On a Tuesday night at 5:30 we had a 45 minute wait for a table for 2. And it was worth the wait! We had been told to try this place as we visited Door County, by not just one person but several both out of the area as well as locals. It's a true roadhouse spot so don't dress up. Everyone is friendly and the staff is great. I had the full rack of ribs with baked beans. I ate too much! It was worth it and I will do it again. She had the Reuben sandwich with fries and it was so large 1/2 of it was brought home. the only thing that was not cool was the lack of Coke or Pepsi products. They only offer 7up, etc. I was told it was because of supply chain issues in the area. Oddly enough, all other restaurants we dined at in Door County had them, so I was skeptical. We had water. They have a full bar tho.

We had a great experience on the Sunday night we dined here. They have indoor and outdoor seating. There is a bar inside. There is a swing, yard games, volleyball for kids to play with. I had the sirloin steak that came with soup, potato, veggie for $30. The steak is stopped with mushrooms and onions. My friend had the rib and fried jump shrimp special for $30. It was delicious. It came with homemade garlic smashed potatoes . We had good service. The place had a nice relaxed vibe and a good family atmosphere.

Stop for lunch on a quiet day in April before things get crazy in Door County. I had The Porta sandwich which was super flavorful. It's like a grilled cheese but with portabella mushrooms and spinach with Swiss cheese. Loved it. The server was super friendly and we hung out at the bar with the locals. Great selection of tap beers and also lots of cans to choose from. Plus they have a full bar with lots of options.

Lunch at the packed restaurant and bar, had the delicious ribs , full slab, came with thin fries, again delicious and creamy coleslaw, great. Had the chicken quesadillas big delicious serving, wine and root beer. Had the small onion loaf to start and again it was delicious and plentiful. Would highly recommend a visit here.

    Are dogs allowed?

We did not see any dogs at the restaurant and that includes the outside eating area too. We did not like the foods we ordered and some made with different ingredients, like a corn muffin with cinnamon, it was not good.

We also enjoyed the complimentary bread with chive butter; it was so good, we took the rest of the loaf home as we didn't want it to go to waste. I had the special for my entree which was a crab encrusted cod. It was delicious and came with asparagus, roasted tomatoes and fingering potatoes. This was a hearty entree! The cocktail list is always creative and I enjoyed the Kentucky lavender lemonade which was a bourbon based drink. The lavender was present without being overpowering. Service was excellent and our server knew the menu well. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed with indoor and outdoor patio seating. We went to lunch recently at Mezzanine, as we were in Egg Harbor--and there it was. The food was…read moremostly good, the setting--we sat outside on their deck--is stunning, and the service was good. I was having lunch with my husband and a friend of ours. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Tacos, my husband ordered the Whitefish Tacos, and my friend ordered two appetizers as her meal--the guac and the ceviche. She also ordered a cocktail--I think the margarita (I remember she said she wanted salt). My husband liked his tacos quite a bit, but one odd thing is that the lunches come with either fries or watermelon. As he isn't a watermelon fan, he got the fries, which is the odd thing is having fries with tacos. But as someone who is really picky about her fries, these were very good--fresh and hot. The Ahi Tacos were also very good. For $20, I would've like maybe more than two tacos, but since I ate a lot of his fries, I wasn't starving. And I do realize food prices have not been going down... My friend's guac was fine, but her ceviche was not ceviche. The first time it came out, it was green--it looked exactly like the guac, so she sent it back, explaining that one should be able to see the fish and it shouldn't be green (and she tasted it--whatever it was, it was not ceviche). The second time, it was certainly fish, but it was more like a fish salad, but it did not have the acid in it that one expects in ceviche, as that is what "cooks" the fish. She said it tasted it fine, but just not--yeah, I've said this a bunch--ceviche. Oh, and her cocktail was fine. We will definitely go back next time we're up that way. On a sunny day, it would be gorgeous. Our day was a bit iffy, and we were lucky--we got our bill just as it began to rain, so we were able to duck under the covered bar to settle up, have a brief convo with the bartender, and went downstairs to the Chocolate Chicken to get a piece of chocolate (my husband's and friend's chocolate was fine--I'm a pain in the neck, and I wanted darker chocolate with more pecans!) and wait out the rain.
