From the start, this tour exceeded all expectations. Steve runs a great operation and genuinely cares about each rider's experience. A friend and I signed up for the 3-day ride out of Randsburg. The accommodations were nice and the food was great. We started the first day with a 115-mile loop through the desert covering a wide range of terrain. The team does a great job catering to different skill levels and plans the excursions accordingly. Day two was another 100-plus miles through a different part of the desert and into the hills. At this time the group had split into two teams based on skill levels so neither group felt slowed down or put in conditions outside their riding levels. Saturday night was steak dinner with a stop in the downtown part of Randsburg. Day three was about 50 miles followed by a lunch and farewells. I learned a lot on the ride and was thoroughly impressed by the Coyote Trail Adventure's team. Highly recommended. Best Day Ever read more

These people are simply amazing! A group of us from SoCal recently did a 3-day Mojave adventure ride / tour with Steve and his team of outstanding professional ride leaders. We based the 3-day adventure out of Randsburg and that was a great decision. Wonderful little historic, living ghost town. The Ransdburg Cottage Inn was a great basecamp venue. We had so much fun that many of us are planning to do another ride with Steve and company in the future. Next time I hope my son can join us. Steve has all the right gear and amazing rental bikes. I have just returned from a 5-day tour of the beautiful Mojave Desert with Coyote Trail Adventures. Our route covered over 600 miles (95% off-road), crossing into 3 States, 6000+ feet of elevation and every type of terrain the desert has to offer: fast, hard-packed dual and single tracks, technical rock climbs, dry lake beds, challenging sand, bush-whacking through the cactus and the Joshua trees. These guys know this area intimately and are world class riders, which gave me the confidence to ride stuff I wouldn't normally take a second look at on my regular Sunday ride! I have come back, not just a better rider, but also in awe of the stunning beauty of the desert. Quite apart from that, when the day is over, the CTA team will make sure you are well fed, well rested and ready for the next day's adventure. And, should anything go wrong, JB will be there in the support truck with gear or even a spare bike if necessary. We did a one day ride with Steve and his crew yesterday, and had an awesome experience! My buddies and I had no experience on dirt bikes and one of the guys had never been on a motorcycle, but Steve got us going in no time and we were riding in the desert and having a blast. We went on a moto tour this time last year and it was such a great time. All of the gear and equipment was ready for us to try on and pick from to use for the day. The bikes were ready to go and already tailored to our heights. We had a great breakfast and lunch, which was included! While my fiancé is a seasoned rider, I had only about 2 hours of street bike experience at the time of our tour. Steve and Jen took their time to make sure I was comfortable and ready to ride before heading out on the trails. A few times during the day, our group split up so my fiance could get some fun and crazy rides in while I had my own fun on the "bunny slopes." It was truly one of the most fun days we've had, and all thanks to Steve and Jen! They are genuinely good people and just want to show you a good time. My friend from Alaska and I were signing up for LA to Barstow to Las Vegas offroad ride that District 37 Dual sport tirelessly works to put on every year. I live in Vegas and had my bike, my friend needed to rent one in Palmdale for the event. He contacted Steve of Coyote Trail Adventures but was told their bikes were all spoken for (Steve was leading a group participating in the LAB2V ride also). After talking with my friend for awhile, Steve offered to rent him his personal bike so my friend and I could do the ride. Now, THAT is customer service! So the day before the event (Thanksgiving Day) a winter storm blew in covering everything with ice and snow. My friend and I couldn't pick up Steve's bike as roads where to icy; so what does Steve do? He loads the bike up in his truck and delivers it to our hotel!!...on Thanksgiving Day!!! All throughout the 2 day ride he offered advice on routing etc. His wife drove the support vehicle for his group and was super nice to us, even though we weren't part of their tour group. After seeing how Steve and his wife operate their business and treat their customers I would not hesitate to book a ride with them. In fact I'm seriously considering booking the LAB2V 2020 ride with them. I can't say enough good things about these people. Coyote Trail Adventures way exceeded my expectations. I went with two buddies. One guy rented, another brought his own, and i rented for 2 days and rode mine for one, which gave me the opportunity to try a few different bikes. Afterward i bought a new bike because i had so much fun. The guides were excellent. They were very knowledgeable about bikes and the massive terrain. They gave me tips that were helpful and they are accomplished mechanics. Lodging was perfect we each got a small cabin with shared shower, dining and restroom areas. All very nice. Food was great. I joined their 3 day Mojave desert motorcycle tour and it was an excellent trip. The logistics are well thought through and Steve and John go out of their way to make everybody comfortable, whether it is route choice to accommodate different rider abilities, equipment/clothing, or food/drinks. Steve tries to get groups with more similar abilities, but in addition will break into smaller groups so everybody gets challenged and nobody gets too far over their head. I highly recommend them for anybody who would like to explore the Southern California desert on an offroad motorcycle and would return for a different trip. read more

GREAT TOUR, NEW BIKES & GEAR, EXCELLENT OWNERS. We started from Steve's lovely farmhouse in Palmdale on August morning. His wife was also very helpful with the briefing, gears and all necessary stuff. She even reminded us to take some salt pills and blister protection. They are super helpful. The service is BOUTIQUE. Its family owned but very clean and high quality tour. Steve and his partner John is really knowledgeable. After loading the selected dirt bikes, we had a 30 min truck ride to the desert. The bikes are super maintained and pretty new. There were KTMs and Honda's. I choose KTM 350x, what a great bike. Steve and John know the area like the back of their hands. They started easy for beginners like us and increased the fun gradually. These guys are living to ride and they have been riding since 70s. They have raced in the desert and also run 3-5 day desert tours with cabin accommodations. Both were very professional, Steve was leading the way and John taking care of the pack at the end. The track has speedy parts for speed thrills and more technical parts such as climbs and downhills. Soft sands are really challenging but fun for us. We rode almost 5 hours and apx 80miles. Coyote Adventure also buys is a good lunch in Subway. The way back was faster and even more fun. When we returned to Palmdale we had a grim happy face:) We had some free T-shirts and stickers along with great photos that Steve shot. HIGLY RECOMMEND IT. WILL COME BACK SOON. read more

Steve and the crew at Coyote Trail Adventures were absolutely awesome! They go out of the way to make sure everyone has a great time. My buddy and I traveled from the east coast with a few bare essentials and they took care of the rest. They have gear, the bikes are in great shape and the chase truck driver had everything setup when we got to camp or stopped for lunch. We had never ridden out west, and quite honestly it had been 15+ years since we had truly ridden dirt bikes, that Said Steve and John did a great job of accommodating different rider abilities making sure we were challenged, safe and most importantly having fun. John keeps the bikes maintained on the ride so you're ready to go in the morning with no issues. If you ask John for advice he's a very good coach, offering small tips on body position or technique for pretty much any situation. I Highly recommend these guys and I wouldn't hesitate to go back for more! read more
