I was in a hurry because I tend to procrastinate a little. I had a night ride planned with some buddies, but my gears were shifting super roughly it's the Bluetooth transmission. I came in right before they were closing, but Lonnie saw how desperate I was and understood how important that ride was for me. The fact that you've chosen to respond 3 months later with misleading claims and omissions, rather than accepting accountability, is precisely what's troubling and frankly, what others have also noted in their own experiences with your business. Let's set the record straight:We were not contacted "many times," it took nearly 2 months for you to repair the bike because you said you had to order the part and because we travel often we weren't pressed but my husband did mention it had been a while since he heard anything about the bike. Then, you called my husband to pick it up and when we arrived the next week the bike was gone! So to suggest that we failed to respond or abandoned the bike is not only false, it's deflective. Your statement about "amicably resolving" the situation is simply not true. There was nothing amicable or professional about the experience unless you're referring to the calmness with which we responded despite being met with your mother's rude and condescending tone (which, again, has been echoed by other reviewers) and the oh well attitude after showing us a photocopy of a document that was supposed to be from the Sherriff with no bike description, no serial numbers and our property being stolen by the same people we trusted to repair it! Her rude disposition as well as your engagement only changed after it was made clear you were in the wrong, not before! Furthermore, it is deeply troubling that your response now attempts to portray the release of our bike, to a different customer, as a good-faith "honest mistake." That "mistake" involved handing over a repeat customers property without notice, consent, or legal basis which in any other instance is known as theft! Let's be clear, we never relinquished ownership of our bike. The bike was not abandoned, it was unlawfully given away. And let's not forget: only after we called the original retailer (on speaker) and they advised us to contact the media, put this incident on social, called you all criminals and suggested we take legal action did the scramble to get the bike returned begin. Your mother quickly called the lady our bike was given to and told her to bring it back immediately! That doesn't sound like a professional policy in action, it sounds like panic after being exposed. As for this "strict disclaimer" about holding items for 30 days, it's irrelevant. It was the week of May 17th when you called us to tell us it was ready and we went to pick it up on the 25th so this whole 30 day policy your referencing doesn't apply, but I see where you were trying to go with it and it's pretty pathetic. Again, your version of the events appears to be conveniently constructed after the fact to justify your mishandling of the situation. And we never refused you checking on the condition of the bike when it was returned because my husband never went back into your shop after he met the lady in the parking lot. After being there for hours to get our property back, and experiencing your negligence, we were ready to get away from there. In the end, your response is not only inaccurate but serves as further warning to others. This is not a business that takes accountability, communicates clearly, or handles customer property responsibly. If all three of you really believed our bike belonged to someone else, you could have called us and simply verified the serial numbers or since you claimed you could not get in touch with us, you could have asked your "trusted" customer to provide serial numbers or a receipt for the bike they claimed was stolen but something as basic as that you failed to do. Honestly, 3 adults that have been doing business for 44 years could not come together to see this was not the proper way to address the situation is pretty scary. It seems like anyone can go and get a free bike with a piece of photocopied letterhead. Instead of owning your mistake, you've chosen to fabricate a narrative that paints yourselves as the victims of a misunderstanding. It wasn't a misunderstanding, it was bad business. My wife dropped off her bike for a tune up. #1 The owner Shawn Lee told her that it would be done in a week and it took two weeks. #2 He told her that during the tune up he would check to see if a new inner tube was needed because the tire was flat. Went to pick up the bike after 2 weeks, tire was flat and had to wait for it to be replaced. Was prepared to pay for the tube, but not an additional installation fee, since the bike was being tuned up. His attitude is what was the biggest disappointment. Poor customer service skills. Only concerned with getting the additional fee for labor that took all of 5 minutes. Something that should have been done before. We will NOT be returning. read more

Great Bike Shop! Took my 20 year old Specialized SWorks MTB in to see if it was worth getting the RockShox SID fork rebuilt. It recently started puking oil and I ride that thing way too hard for it's age but it is what it is... Lonnie told his brother Ronnie about it and they both agreed it was totally worth a rebuild. Long story longer they rebuilt the fork and spruced up the rest of the old girl while addressing other issues we discussed before the work started. That bike hasn't looked this good since it was new. Suspension is super responsive, it shifts like a dream, and all the annoying squeaks are gone. Just great customer service! read more
