No one in our group had gone to a coyote ugly before, so we thought while in vacation we could give it a shot. We went on a Tuesday night in April and it was pretty fun. There were a good bit of locals and some tourists. The bartenders were super fun. Drinks were priced decently but they ruined it by charging my card twice for the same transaction. I noticed it a few days later and thought it was just pending but it went through. Mistakes happen, I get it... but not only that, I've been calling this establishment for over a month and can never get anyone to return my calls to figure it out. I've had to open a claim with my bank to try and get my money back. I won't ever be returning. I suggest taking your business elsewhere. So you go into Coyote Ugly because you think you should check it out once and because the people you are with want to see what it's like. You've seen the movie right? Hot girls dance on the bar. Well this bar is smack in tourist heaven and is kind of a dive, but it has bath room attendants....weird. Luckily we didn't have to pay a cover because the people we were with were at the bar earlier (before dinner and no bartenders dancing on the bar) and had some sort of ticket to get us back in (because they had told the bartender they wanted to get the real Coyote Experience). Without this ticket we would have had to pay a cover to watch some scantily dressed girls shake it on the bar. Not worth it. You go in. Immediately you notice the, whatever the heck it is, hanging from the ceiling covered in bras. Classy. But again, it's Coyote Ugly. I get it. Drinks are overpriced. Way overpriced. Even just a freaking soda. We didn't bother even trying the food. There are a lot of people there. And why not right? Half naked girls with their boobs and asses all but hanging out. The bartenders are constantly asking (begging) the female patrons to come on the bar to dance with them. Bribing with free shots. Don't get caught even swaying to the music (country, rock and some hip-hop) or they will single you out. I felt really bad for one of the bartenders as a male patron paid to do a body shot. My friend came to visit and we went on a Wednesday during the off-season and it was dead lol, I mean like we were the only ones in there along with one other dude. But it was still SO MUCH FUN!! Another great reason to come here is because you can get pretty intoxicated for pretty cheap if you dance on the bar. She had an amazing attitude and was really fun. She really got the crowd going! When she got off stage, many people left. This bar gives no care to injured individuals. Had one of my friends go into the bar. She should not of appropriately of been on the bar. However the bartenders encouraged and teased her onto the bar. My friend then got onto the bar and slipped. She received a minor concussion from falling off the bar. After my friend fell off the bar she became unconscious and the bartenders did nothing to assist the security in helping to remove any members from my friend. While my friend was unconscious the bartenders proclaimed, "who is ready to have a good time and get fucked up!". All while my friend was still unconscious. The bar staff showed no emotions to my friend and her issue. I recently moved to Destin and was excited to hear that a coyote ugly was opening up here. ive been to a few in the past, panama city beach, tampa and vegas and have always had a ball. first time to the destin location was on a sunday and i wasn't so impressed. the drink prices were ok I suppose, $4.50 for a corona, but other than that it was just boring. they had a live concert playing on a big screen tv, rather than a live band and their staff was less then you'd expect from a coyote ugly. the girls danced on the bars like they were bored strippers, just swaying back and forth, not like the coyote girls doing choreographed routines in the other coyote uglys. and this was my best of two trips to the destin location. A few of my friends wanted to go the following night, it being a new bar open in town and what not, to see what it was all about. Monday night turned out to be one of my worst bar experiences by ever, by far. as we sat there bored out of our mind, light country music playing in the background like a dentist office in Austin, TX, our "bartender" grabbed my beer and stood over me at the bar, pulled my head back and started to pour my $4.50 corona in my mouth.......now at this point im thinking to myself, "hey this is the kinda excitement and fun ive come to expect from coyote ugly", she then proceeded to stand up and pour my almost full beer all over my face and shirt. so as I sit there in my beer soaked shirt, i'd expect a few things here.,....one a new beer and two a new shirt. neither was given to me, and upon request of these two items I was told they cant "give" me a beer, id have to pay for it, and that i'd have to pay for a shirt as well. when I asked the bartender to speak to a manager the answer I got was "she's gonna tell you the same thing". i went to my truck, where luckily i had a clean shirt, then asked the bouncer at the door on my way back in for a manager and his response was "he wasn't allowed to leave the door to get one". needless to say i won't waste another second in that place and urge anyone looking for a good time to look elsewhere....i give it one star just because they have 2 mechanical bulls, and i cant give it zero. read more

Checked this place out for a mommie's night out, for me it was pretty descent. Just like out of the movie, young pretty girls dancing on the bar while alcohol is being served. I did notice the crowd was a bit older, but its a mix of young 21-50+. Dance on the bar get a free shot, the ladies are beautiful and it almost felt like a free strip club with how some other the other patrons were shaking it on the bar and the music was ok. I got to twerk a bit a remind myself why I must stretch before a work out, the outside bar had a stage set up for a live reggae band and I'm definitely coming back to check that out again, and next to that area is a bull riding spot for brave inebriated customers to be thrown to an inflatable area. Honestly, my expectations of this place going in, were painfully way too high. First of all, $10.00 cover charges for guests that are from out of state? On a Wednesday night no less? The front country bar was dead in the water. The back patio area was where the crowd was. And honestly, I felt like a weirdo because most of the crowd was underage back in the patio area. The ONLY reason I gave it 2 stars, was simply because the local yocals there, did not disappoint in the people watching arena. Train wrecks to say the very least, which did provide me with that twisted entertainment I longed for. Aside from that, I'm still puzzled at the cover charge. Generally there's a reason for such. Here, not so much. But here's a tip- if you're planted in the heart of a tourist area (which you are), then perhaps instead of hustling those from out of town at every turn (cover, overpriced drinks), you should waive that fee (unless you actually have something there as entertainment to warrant such a cover charge).
