Anyways we got confirmation we had reservations. Then when we arrived and got escorted to our site to be told we can't set up fencing for our dog. This wasn't stated anywhere on the website. We would not have stayed. If a middle of the night need for our dog to potty becomes big inconvenience for us. Plus it's just safer for all animals that could be loose or get loose.

No one offered them napkins, BUT I am an always be prepared kinda lady and had Charmin wet wipes in our tour pack. Ya never know! The BBQ, AMAZING! It always is. There is a campground/RV park in behind the bar and General Store. Very clean and well maintained. I've stayed there a couple of nights in the past. I've been told that on Tuesday's they have an amazing steak dinner. I've never been there for that, but I'm looking forward very much to trying it soon. The owner Mary was very accommodating to our family and always very warm and welcoming when we stopped in the store. All the campers were the same. We were tent camping but Mary let us set up in front of a rental camper so we could use the electric to charge to boat and she was even gave us access to the camper to use the restroom and wash our dishes. She ever notified us that a neighboring camper was putting their camper up for sale and was just what we were looking for. We are now considering buying the camper and having a place up there of our own.

We made a reservation that day (it seemed pretty packed early October so we got the last available spot). The staff here were very friendly, and we didn't have to pay until we arrived at the site. It was so affordable! With a Good Sam discount, our one night stay amounted to just ~$34! We were very happy with the price, which included full hook-ups (+ cable TV), a shower house, and a swimming pool (? I think). The next morning, we had our propane filled at that site and left. The owners here were very thoughtful and organized. Thought the campground wasn't very big, when we drove in, the owner had us follow her in her golf cart so we knew exactly where to pull in and how to park our extra truck. Will come back again!

A pond is located in the center of the campground spaces where most RVs can choose to park. (I did choose to get a spot near the pond where I watched fellow RVers do some fun fishing---ex. catfish, baby large mouth bass ). Trees abound in RV areas, providing shade and fresh air. Amenities include 30 to50amps, clean water connections, electrical and sewer hook-ups, plus just less than 3.5 miles drive to the groceries, fast food places, department stores, etc. Each RV pull-through space and back in slots have ample space for extra vehicle parking. Park has an existing covered/ well lighted pavillion for barbecues, open playground with slide and swings for kids, gated pet area where you can leave your furbabies to run without leashes....and the coin-operated laundromat is always open, so with the public restroom-- which is kept really clean. The group of RVers who have comeback more than twice(like me) have noticed the consistently well-maintained walking areas, well-lighted walkways, pet area/ grassy areas always mowed, and ample trash cans that keep this place spotless. The real kicker is their current RV spot prices, whether daily, weekly or monthly---soooo inexpensive!

Our pull thru site was not quite level and just big enough for our truck and 30 foot trailer, but we lifted one side to be level and hooked up to sewer, water, and electric. We emailed them and told them which site we chose upon arrival. The nights were pretty quiet due to minimal nearby highway noise. We planned a four-night stay but only stayed for two nights. The restroom and the laundry room are not too bad. One restroom with one shower and one each washer and dryer in the laundry room. $5 to wash and dry (pay at the office.) On a walk with our dog, I was surprised by an unleashed dog that came from under one of the RVs that followed us for a bit. Okay...not sure if there are rules. We were never asked to sign the receipt because we never received a copy of the campground rules and policies (according to the receipt they emailed to us when we made the reservation.) On our final morning, electric was turned off by an electrician and we were not notified. After speaking with the electrician to understand the project, my husband walked to the store/office and spoke with a woman (owner?) and said we would be leaving due to no communication about this and we expected a refund for the 2-night remainder of our time. She said, "Sorry, we'll refund your money." Then the man (owner?) got done with a phone call and asked what was the matter. My husband explained that no one let us know about the power and the man said it would not be long...about an hour (the electrician told us about and hour per post which would make it a minimum of half a day as there were six sites on our row.) My husband explained he was disappointed with the customer service and the man replied with, "THEN PACK UP AND GET OUT OF HERE AND YOU'LL GET YOUR DAMN MONEY." We never received a refund. We were disappointed both by not being notified and in the level of customer service my husband received from the man. I was also removed from their Facebook page, which is a really odd gesture. PLUS...one of the other guests of the park with the first unleashed dog I encountered slowly circled our RV when my husband went to fill up with fuel so we could leave. Customer service should be the key to their existence; it makes or breaks and establishment. We have visited 30 states and over 140 park so far, yet have never been treated like this.

We were also able to play bingo and they had multiple other events during the day. This KOA has everything planned out so it's one of the better KOA's. It is a smaller campground and you are very close together but everyone was respectful and followed the quite hours. Being close made walking everywhere easy instead of everyone having a golf cart which can be annoying at times. The staff was so helpful when our campsite didn't have a picnic table, we let them know and they had one brought over with in 15 minutes of being there. Very accommodating! Would recommend coming here and will be coming again!
