My friend and I decided to go to a new spot and found this place. It was pretty busy when we arrived but we were able to be seated pretty quickly. We only waited a little for a waitress to take our orders. Our food was alright, if I went back I would probably try their French toast. read more

I like this place and the food and service is fine. Today as I was eating at the counter, the busboy would often pass by laden with dishes and deposit them in the bin behind the counter. This happened consistently, as it's Sunday and busy. I'm not offended as restaufrant workers do their tasks. However a waitress picked up a butter pat wrapper that must have fallen on the floor from the busboy's activities and put it right next to my plate. What? Was she trying to say you dropped this on the floor and here it is? Not only is this unsanitary, but it reflects the attitude of a staff msember here. read more

I stopped on the way to the airport. Got the biscuits and gravy with an over medium egg, a cup of coffee, and a glass of water. With tip, it came to $15. Not bad. I ate outside to take advantage of the nice weather. It was really nice. The best part was their service. So lesson: Great service will boost average food to five stars every time. Cozy Corner sits at the center or average. I will admit that it's kind of fun, but this is your usual "you can make it at home" fare. Most items we ordered were room temperature, I don't know if it's because of the crowd that comes in (usually very full). Toast looked like your plain cheap white bread. Service was above average. They are usually open until 4pm and street parking is the only option here, which shouldn't be a problem. It's set up diner style and it has it's charm but it's not going to impress you. Prices are very reasonable considering the financial fiasco that we find ourselves in as of this writing. Four and five star ratings here remind me that Miami as a whole needs to get their expectation higher. Maybe lunch items are a different story and I'm open to that, but as far as breakfast the gavel is going down on average to below. read more

Must have gone on an off day Server kept making mistake after mistake Our omelettes were smothered in cheese Egg to cheese ratio was way off and vegetables were way undercooked. Server "bless her heart" was abliged to try and make things right but only kept making more and more mistakes by brining us other people's food orders and sides. It was awful. We will come back in hopes to give them a second chance and I'm able to write a better review Everyone deserves at least a second chance. It might have been bad luck or bad day in the kitchen and server shortage. Who knows. But the locals swear by this place so it can't be all that bad. I'll let you know after round two. read more

They deserve a 5 star. They are a real decent, home cooking, American diner in the heart of little America, that just happens to be in Miami. The setting is perfect. They have all the favorites, Rubens, hot dogs, swiss burgers, and a good cup of coffee. They ate situated right in the corner, as the name suggests. I go here whenever I'm in Miami Springs. It reminds of when I was a teenager in a small town. The Ruben I had today was out of this world fantastic. I took a note and three quarters through the sandwich, I remembered I wanted to take a picture. But I forgot. It was so juicy and hot. The meat was incredibly tender. YOU NEED TO EAT HERE! read more

It's been a while since my last review...mostly because this place is so far away from my home and because the last several times I came by the service and food was disappointing. This place at one point was one of my go to places to have breakfast when I lived in Hialeah. This quaint little Mom and pop restaurant in Miami Springs was an amazing place to eat a great plate of breakfast. I decided to give them another shot as I was in the area and I felt nostalgic. I am glad I returned....first new employees none of the previous problem waiters/waitresses were there. Super friendly this time around. My mom ordered her country breakfast... my brother and I both ordered Eggs Benedict. If you guys normally read my reviews you know my favorite kind of breakfast is an Eggs Benedict... I mean what's better than a poached egg, Canadian bacon, on an English muffin and covered in hollandaise sauce? Nothing that's what! And they nailed it! Amazing...delicious.... I wanted to lick the plate clean of the hollandaise. Fries were nice and crunchy and salty! Yum! I also ordered a side of bacon...because American Bacon + Canadian Bacon = Happiness.... its mathematically proven! We also ordered Cafe con Leche and Cuban Toast on the side. This is because there is nothing better than mixing the best of a good old American breakfast with the best of Cuban breakfast! Heavy on carbs? Meh so what! Great food....with just one negative... the grits...they were disappointing. Clumpy and cold....no bueno. I found this small hidden gem when me and my co workers were looking for breakfast one morning. We wanted something other than a breakfast sandwich. We came along this place and man was it a surprise! It's easy to miss if you're driving by as it's on the corner and it's easy to miss but the food is awesome. I ordered the chicken fried chicken bowl and I subbed the toast for a pancake and I came with an appetite and we'll I was stuffed. The portions are huge and the side pancake was big as well that I barely had enough room for it! My co worker also got a bowl and I can't remember the name of it but it was similar to mine his just had fresh pico de gallo and he said it was just as amazing. I will be coming back for sure next time I am in need of a delicious breakfast! The place is a small diner but it delivers. They have a lot on the menu so I am excited to try other things. If you are looking for something fancy this is not the place but if you're looking for diner style American home cooking it's a great place. Prices are reasonable and food is always good. Tried this place out this morning and was not impressed. It's basic breakfast. To me it is nothing that sets it a part from your typical IHOP or Denny's. I called in order ahead of time, however when I got there they had never put it in. I over heard the waitress that took my order tell the waitress that inquired about my order say, "oh I never put it in". She then came over to verify my order. Even with that little hiccup, it came out pretty quick. If I'm in the area and want some breakfast, I may come back but it I wouldn't go out of my way for it. read more

The service was ok and the food was nothing to write home about if I'm honest. After reading some positive reviews on Yelp I was kind of surprised by my subpar meal. Here are the details: I ordered a Cuban toast egg and cheese sandwich, which sounds like it would be very good but this was not the case. The eggs tasted very cheap and I couldn't really taste the cheese. The home fries that came with it were cold and weren't very flavorful. My guy ordered the omelette with cheddar cheese, tomatoes, and onions and he said it was pretty good. All in all, after not really enjoying my meal and wasting almost half of it I don't think I'll be back. Maybe if they get higher quality ingredients the food would be better. read more

Doesn't help that it doesn't have a sign on the corner outside, it's just a small plastic sign on the wall, but not the main wall. We only came here because Crackers was closed for vacation. So delicious, soft & buttery on the inside, and crispy on the outside. I ordered the farmers breakfast with French toast topped with strawberries and bananas. Fruit was fresh and French toast had a good batter it was dipped in. It came with 4 toast triangles. Not a huuuuge portion, but good for 1. I'd like to see them try a different bread, like Challah or something thicker, because the bread they use seems to be a thin cheaper bread. The bread would make a worlds difference and make it even more delicious! I got it with eggs and grilled potatoes. Both were delicious. Potatoes were little chopped up potatoes, tasted amazing. Overall, everything was delicious. We were stuffed. It's very very economical, low cost meal! Great bang for your buck. I did notice they have a few refrigerators with frozen foods. I'd wish they had less frozen foods and more homemade stuff. I saw a lot of desserts in the freezer too. Wish they'd have their own recipes with fresh baked goods. I'd be okay paying a little more if they added some other homemade items to the menu. I'll definitely return fo a yum quick bite! read more
