I have mixed emotions... I contacted them to make arrangements to celebrate my mom's 80th bday. The person who handled the IG messages was great accommodating, setting us upright at the front great table was promised. Other little birthday perks as well. When we got there nothing was honored. It was as if, they got us there and it was a switch and bait. Did not honor anything they promised. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nevertheless food was good, service was attentive and the entertainment was wonderful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm just disappointed in how unprofessional they were.

I was picking up someone at the airport and found Paco's Way to be quite near and with a really promising Spanish menu. If you're planning to grab some Spanish food at a place with great music and ambiance, I would highly recommend this place. Part of reason for 4 instead of 5 is really mainly driven by an interesting smell that I wasn't expecting, reminiscing of an old office vs what I would expect what a restaurant would smell like. The other thing that was a deterring factor would be the fact that we were never asked if we wanted water. Then, after I was almost done with our appetizer, I asked for water, and I was brought a bottle (so if you're like me, thirsty all the time, get ready to spend half your bill on bottled water). In terms of the food, we ended up ordering some patatas bravas, which were delicious and generously covered with the brava sauce and aioli , I wasn't too hungry so I decided to get the Galician octopus in the appetizer menu. In all honesty, I expected a bit more octopus and not a ton of potato with minute pieces of thinly slicked octopus on the top. However, the octopus was the softest I've ever had, it was truly really enjoyable, just wished there was more. Hence why I opted to then order the charred octopus on top of that when the charred octopus arrived, it was more of what I was originally expected to see and I really enjoyed it, great flavor and texture, although i personally do prefer a little more char. But nonetheless very enjoyable. Definitely worth a try.

An old friend of mine and myself that live in the Miami Springs area have been trying different restaurants. Today we came here for lunch. The hostess Yenny also ended up being our waitress. She was very friendly and had lots of knowledge of menu items. Please see the attached pictures for what we enjoyed. The two high lights for us this afternoon were the cod fish croquettes and the bread with serano ham. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We will be coming back on a weekend to also enjoy the live music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

If you're looking for the perfect outing for couples or groups, with entertainment and DELICIOUS food -- this is the place!!! Today, my boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary. We made reservations at Paco's Way - eager to try their delicious paella after seeing so many awesome posts on their Instagram. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint! We ordered the Paella Mar y Tierra, freshly made with lots of seafood, chicken, and pork sausage. When brought out, the server plates the paella for you - perfect portions for two! We also ordered a side of the plantanos maduros, the perfect sweet bite to pair with the savory paella. Since we came on a Tuesday evening, it was very quiet and there was no entertainment. However, this made for the perfect, cozy and intimate experience for our anniversary. We'll definitely be back soon for the full experience - and for more paella!! A big thank you to all of the staff for being very sweet and helpful. :)

We were in Miami for a cruise & stayed in Miami for another day. Found this place on Yelp and didn't disappoint. Their Happy Hour is from 4-8pm at 50% pricing on quite a few tapas & drinks. But the seafood with lobster paella was most outstanding. Too bad they don't have live entertainment on Mondays, that would've been icing on the cake.

Instead, we were sat at the smallest bar seating, which was completely inappropriate and not romantic at all for an occasion like Valentine's Day. As soon as we sat down, I politely asked if we could be moved. The manager then told me that I had booked bar seating, which is simply not true. Why would anyone reserve bar seating a month in advance for Valentine's Day? I checked my reservation confirmation myself and it never stated that, and I even tried making another reservation to verify ..bar seating wasn't even an option. He told us he would "see what he could do," and we were left waiting at the bar with no water, no menus, no service, and no communication whatsoever. Meanwhile, we watched multiple couples get seated at proper tables back-to-back. At one point, we even overheard another couple say their reservation was at the same time as ours, and they were seated at a table immediately. When I tried to politely ask for an update, the manager or owner completely ignored me. No acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. I was honestly in shock at how disrespectful and dismissive they were. We ended up getting up and leaving because of how uncomfortable and disrespected we felt. Valentine's Day is supposed to be special, and this restaurant completely ruined that experience.

I ordered a charcuterie tray for the three of us; it's not premade. You pick the ingredients and then they are charged à la carte. For the one we enjoyed with Brie, prosciutto and jam. It came up to about $40. We enjoyed a bottle of chardonnay - nicely cool and crisp - while chatting and enjoying the game. I think they just have bottles, not wine by the glass. I'd certainly recommend Magie for a casual date night, or nightcap after dinner elsewhere. The patio with string lights and all does seem cute for a quiet evening.

We were lucky to be under the specialized and meticulous care of Idelis, one of the bartenders and a founder of this Doral location. We started with a tasting of the Wines of the Month: * The Gold Rush California Red; highly cherry-fruity with nice depth. * The Vinho Verde; crisp, refreshing, with a very light bubbly sensation. After the tasting, and keeping in mind her preference for reds, we decided to go with 2 bottles of Pinot Noir; elegant, with beautiful red fruit notes, soft tannins, and that classic silky finish that makes it so versatile and easy to enjoy. We started with the house pretzel bun with butter, which is always excellent. From the seasonal menu, we tried the Crispy Barbacoa Arancini, which were very good. For the main course, my girlfriend ordered the Blackened Ahi Tuna and I had the Shanghai Braised Short Rib; tender, perfectly cooked meat with a delicious soy-chili glaze, accompanied by roasted broccolini, shiitake mushrooms, and wasabi silky buttery mashed potatoes. The portions were perfect and the mix of flavors in the sauce and the mashed potatoes is something I can't even describe absolutely phenomenal. For dessert, the Summer Peach Butter Cake (the seasonal option) was already finished, which was very disappointing we couldn't understand why, especially since it was relatively early. We ended up ordering the Key Lime Pie instead, which was very balanced in flavor and sweetness. The crust was excellent and gave the impression of being homemade. As others have stated, Magie is good in concept and we'll likely return here, but with just a bit…read moremore effort on their part this wine bar could be so much better IMO. Unlike some other reviewers that scoffed at the prices of the wine, that didn't bother me so much. We had a bottle here that cost $55 and it retails for about $28; I was OK with that, as all restaurants and wine bars have a markup above retail, and even when you go to spots like Happy Wine or El Carajo and pick out a bottle to drink while in their shop, they charge a corkage fee for that. What I did have a problem with is that, after the "service charge" and other fees were added on, our $55 bottle rang up to more than $73 in total, which was ludicrous. When we first arrived at Magie we were met by a young guy who pointed out the bottles and where the various charcuterie items are located in the coolers, and we were then pretty much left on our own. We really just wanted a glass of wine each, but unlike places like Vinoteca, here at Magie they had a very limited selection of wines by the glass, and the ones available all seemed to come in single-serve cans. We picked out a bottle to share, went to the register, paid and the guy opened it and handed us 2 glasses. When I returned to get napkins, the guy just motioned to where the napkins were so I could grab my own (after moving a delivery cart out of the way by myself so I could reach them). Again, though this place includes an automatic "service charge", we received zero actual "service" unless one considers the 45 seconds it takes to uncork our bottle and charge us for the purchase. We had a seat, had a glass of wine each and then re-corked our bottle of wine and took it with us. Overall I think Magie is a great concept with lots of potential. The inside seating area is interestingly decorated and outfitted with lots of eclectic furniture and items on the walls, and the relatively large patio seating out front with tables for 2 to 8 people is shielded from the adjacent street/traffic and shaded by lots of trees and greenery. The ambiance overall is really very nice. The service, however, was non-existent, especially considering the automatic charge for that, and while prices of at least some wines aren't terribly out of line, the fact that all the service charges, taxes and fees added $20 to the cost of our bottle was a bit of a shocker. Magie should consider adding more wines by the glass IMO. Not just subpar quality single-serve cans, but decent wines, poured from a proper bottle with a topper that preserves the wine between pours like most every quality wine bar commonly offers. Lastly, while I don't think anyone expects linen napkins and white glove service, the paper plates and plastic cutlery customers are given to eat with are a bit off vs. what this place appears to be trying to be and the prices charged. The "F*ck Brunch" positioning statement on the back of the staffs' shirts was an interesting touch.
