I thought the fried cabbage was unique. It was similar to sauerkraut in flavor, which I would have loved, but wasn't acidic enough for me. The sauce on the cabbage roll was the same as what was in the potatoes- which was fine because they were dry. But it meant the two main components of the dish were not very different in flavor. The cabbage roll was huge and stuffed to the brim. At first I wasn't sure it would be enough, but one is all you need to feel full at the end of the meal. Like I said, it was hearty, and there was a little sauce, but could have used more sauce or something because it tasted a little dry to me. My companions both ordered the sampler plate and didn't have the same issues. It was, however, a lot of food and they both had leftovers enough for another meal. The service was great, especially for as busy as it was. Our waitress was running ragged but managed to keep our drinks topped up and check in on us. She was a super star. I really liked the fresh interior, it's less chaotic than the old Applebees decor. It felt welcoming and comfortable. I would definitely come back. The restaurant is still new-ish and will probably go through a few changes as they get a feel for the traffic. I'm looking forward to trying some of the other menu offerings soon!
