Was reviewing my account and I discovered my first review of Morans Pub over10 years ago. I'm happy to say I'm still a regular patron and it is still being well-run and managed by James Moran. They now offer food and many promotions like Trivia Night, pool tournaments, South Milwaukee High School fundraisers, trips to Ireland/England, and then there's St. Patrick's week. Morans takes over Milwaukee Avenue with daily events and an outdoor Irish festival, which never disappoints. With World Cup upcoming this summer. I look forward to spending a lot of time and money there :). If you've never visited, this summer is a great opportunity to do so. Cheers! read more

Visited Moran's Pub on Wednesday for their Trivia night. The place was filled with patrons, lively music and energy in the place. Our group sat in the back room, which had plenty of seating and could participate in the trivia with ease. The service was attentive, clean, quick and just felt comfortable there. As you do at an Irish bar, I had the Guinness and it took me back to my time in Ireland. This was a great evening - I would totally come back! read more

Great bar and fantastic atmosphere. James the owner makes everyone feel welcome. All of his employees seem to be treated like family and it shows on the other side of the bar as a customer. They recently started serving food with a small menu. The wings are fantastic! Strongly suggest to stop in this Pub for a specialty drink, a cold beer, to watch a game on the tele or just to get out of the house to get away from the rut of life. CHEERS read more

I really thought James could take the L with dignity; but I've noticed James has taken liberties with his story. James had no reason to assume any of our ages as he or anyone in his establishment did not card us. The ladies in our group were friends with the other ladies in our group that shared an Uber with us. I don't know where you got that comment from, but you kicked us out while we were dancing. Seemed more like jealousy than the noble actions that you are trying to suggest but whatever helps you sleep at night. read more

What a find! Super nice staff who know a lot about South Milwaukee and are happy to share. Go here for the Guinness, stay for the line of big screen tvs with soccer, rugby, and other big show games. This street needs more businesses and choices. I hope they revitalize. read more

This is the cutest bar in south milwaukee. Went for the Harry Potter pop-up experience and was not disappointed. My husband and I got the donuts & drafts pairing and all the beers paired perfectly with the themed mini donuts! Great quality products overall and clean & friendly staff! 10/10 recommend! read more

Great local pub with authentic clean and friendly atmosphere. There is a definite soccer theme. Enjoyed the Sully's and New Glarus Oktoberfest selections on tap. There is a pool table, darts, and plenty of televisions to catch a soccer match or Packer game. Currently they only have frozen pizzas but according to the owner a kitchen is coming later this year. read more

Moran's Pub is one of my favorite places to go in the state of Wisconsin. They have the best Guinness in the state, great cocktails (I love the Moran's Mule), awesome live sports and amazing music. James has done a fantastic job making Moran's Pub what it is today. The staff (especially James), are incredibly kind and outgoing and treat every customer like family. I love going Sunday mornings at 9:00am to watch a Manchester United game or Friday nights for the fish fry, the food truck is always great and affordable. The pub recently has undergone a makeover and it looks fantastic inside and out. I've made some amazing memories at Moran's Pub and I look forward to many more in the future. read more

A great place to go I went in here only because one of my martial arts to choose goes in here a lot and I ended up breaking my tailbone stop going into this martial arts school that's right down the street so I went in here quietly had a Guinness didn't let them know who I was where I was from and why lie why I was in there wanted to see if this place actually would cater so my needs what a great far I'll go back in here again I stopped and had a beer finished it listen to the music watch the screen I want to go in there when the Packers play the Bears because I am a Bears fan haha but God bless this place is a good Irish Pub read more

This is probably the friendliest pub in Milwaukee. Not only were we greeted with a smile but the bartender (owner) made a custom special cocktail when I couldn't think of what I wanted. It was sort of a gin fizz / tom collins and garnished with a special Michigan cherry. It was delightful! We had a great time and even left with a few t shirts! We will definitely be back. read more

Wow, I would not have expected such a great welcoming place in the middle of south Milwaukee-I can say that because I'm from the south side. Moran's is tucked into the main drag in South Milwaukee and it everything you could want from a little town bar while also providing a killer beer selection and all the soccer watching your little heart could desire. Good on Moran's for re-branding and looking to find their niche. Whether you want to watch the Packers on Sunday or the Spurs on Saturday, there's chairs and table a plenty. There's foot-pong in the back room. There's lots of room, so you're not running into everyone else and there's a friendly staff and ownership. Definitely worth the drive to S. Visiting from Washington, called around for a place that had PAC-12 network. By chance we stumbled upon this little gem. The owner and the bartender were great; we felt right at home. James (owner) was nice enough to turn our out-of-market game to the loudspeakers during the most crucial point. The other patrons celebrated with us after an amazing finish and we all chatted about the town and places to visit. The overall vibe was very laid-back and the people and management were courteous, helpful, and had a clean bathroom!! We were sad the opportunity to visit again wasn't available, but should we venture to Milwaukee again we know where to go!! read more

I stumbled upon this pub by googling Milwaukee soccer bars. It's not quite in Milwaukee, but on a charming little street in South Milwaukee. I had emailed them via their contact info as I was coming in from out of town, hoping to watch the Champions League Final. The owner, James Moran, emailed me back, offering to reserve a table for my group and give us a round of shots on him. My friends and I had a great time. The pub was well decorated for the event, there were plenty of screens, and even the music was great before the sound kicked over to the game. They don't have food aside from pizzas, but snacks were provided for the event as well. The drink prices were reasonable and there was a good selection of draft beers as well as mixed drinks. The bar staff was also very friendly, including James himself. We felt right at home. If I lived in the area, I would certainly frequent the pub. I'd highly recommend it for all sports, but especially soccer. It will be a fantastic establishment for taking in the World Cup this summer. read more

Went in during the day when my boyfriend and I were in the area. I liked the decor, reminded me of the layout of a bar we visited in Nashville. The bartender was awesome. Very friendly, greeted us right away, talked about what beers they offer. He seemed to know every beer they carry, which was appreciated since they didn't have menus. Truly love Morans. My husband and I were new to the area and as a big soccer fan, he was thrilled when he stumbled across Morans. He loves going to the pub to watch a soccer match. They have great Guinness but if you are under 40 this place might not be for you. Might have been the night I was there because there was a birthday party going on but a lot of black leather surrounded the bar. All on all a great dive bar $4.50 a pint of Guinness can't pass that up even if I have to carry a switchblade to fit in. read more

My wife and I found this location via Yelp and headed there on a Wednesday afternoon for happy hour. We arrived before other guests and sat down at the bar to a very welcoming owner run establishment. James was a wonderful host as we enjoyed our original Irish draft beers. As new guests arrive we continued to receive great service from James. We live out of town but will always include this authentic Irish Pub in every return visit. Well done James!! read more

Have driven by this place a hundred times and never stopped in, but went last night to catch the Brewers NLCS game 7 based on online reviews since we were looking for somewhere new to try. Previous reviews are right, Moran's is a super welcoming local pub where everyone already seems to know everyone else but is also willing and eager to talk to and befriend the newbies, and the owner frequently stopped by to see how we were doing, let us know there was free food available during the game, and shook our hands, asked our names and thanked us for coming in when we left...we're definitely adding Moran's to our regular rotation! read more

We were visiting for a family wedding and met up in Morans Irish bar in South Milwaukee! Halloween was in full swing it was Awesome Dracula was enjoying a perfectly poured pint of Guinness (as was I) Frankenstein was playing darts with a guy with an axe thru his head the place was buzzing! Fantastic atmosphere very friendly staff and wide selection of very well priced beers and cocktails, if your a sport lover this is the place to be televisions galore to suit all tastes!
