My Polish friend Ewa invited me to be her guest for dinner at Wioletta's Polish kitchen. It was a frosty evening and I was looking forward to a heartwarming meal. It's amazing to see the transformation of the building from a former fast casual restaurant to a cultural and gastronomic experience. The ambience is both "homey" and modern. Window treatments evoke European lace without looking like you're at a grandma's house. White tablecloths bring old world finesse, and there's small decor artfully placed making it feel comfy but not fussy. The bar takes up the center of the room, and their wine, beer and cocktail menus are both fresh and "old school" pleasing everyone in your party. The service was excellent! Classy, with just enough hovering that you never had to wait for a new drink our glass of water. The menu looked great but my knowledge of polish food is minimal. Ewa suggested the combination plate for a little taste of everything! I had to order the Polish Martini. Slightly sweet and served in a cut crystal glass, it was a classy beginning to our meal. My food was amazing! Never tasted such delicious Polish sausage! The stuffed cabbage was my favorite, as well as the little pierogis. I couldn't finish it of course. We turned down dessert after releasing the top button on my jeans. Burp!!!!! Holy moly that was good! Great place to take the family for a celebration or date night. Don't forget to point out your home town in Poland on the huge wall map!

Polish food finally makes a return to the area!! Wiolettas recently opened in an old Applebees off Rawson and we were eager to check it out because we love their deli. The inside is bright and welcoming, with lovely pictures of Polish cities and a very cool metal art map. Menu wise, they've kept it simple (smart) with the classics - pierogies, goulash, etc. Entrees are roughly $15-25 and come with soup or salad. Polish people LOVE soup, for real. So get that - their homemade chicken soup is simple, comforting and very in line with what my grandma made. For a main, I had goulash with potato pancakes and it was delicious!!! The meat was super tender and the pancakes were really good - not overly greasy. It also came with a red cabbage salad (not generally my favorite) which is savory vs sweet. Two thumbs up. The mister had a pork shank which absolutely fell off the bone - served with a giant potato. Again - absolutely delicious! We were way too full for dessert as portions are generous but they have some homemade cakes. Full bar available with Polish beer and liqueurs at reasonable prices. Service was generally good but still finding their groove a bit. I love that this is truly a family operation - moms cooking, dads running food and the kids are hustling. We were told they've been hopping since they opened so consider a reservation. Two big thumbs up from me and no question we'll be back!

We were heading back from Chicago on Saturday night and said "Hey, let's go to that Polish restaurant on the way back to Milwaukee". I looked up the address and previous reviews. We arrived about 7 and were promptly seated. Rebecca was great in answering our questions and offered suggestions. We had the borscht and creamy mushroom for soups - both really good. We shared the sampler and the breaded pork chop. I had a few Polish beers since I wasn't driving. The entrees were great and Milwaukee sized. We shared a strawberry cake and honey wine for dessert - really good! I saw some comments about questionable service - we certainly didn't experience any issues in our visit.

Food is great, traditional flavors from my family homeland and heritage. The service is awesome, and to see the owners working with employees lets ma know tgey care!

Finally got to come with friends tonight. Food was mostly good. Just didn't like the red cabbage salad. I'm used to eat it sweet and sour style served hot. Service was good. Not exactly as how my busia used to cook.

Food was good, especially the stuffed cabbage. Was crowded for a newly opened restaurant, which is a good sign. Planning to return soon and try more dishes.

They carry Rishi teas, which always have great flavor. To start, we ordered the Korean cauliflower. It came out in a reasonable amount of time and had nice flavor, was served hot, and was a good portion. There were some nicely sized pieces on top, but underneath was a pile of smaller pieces that turned into a bit of a gooey mess. For our entrees, I had the Hot Bacon Salad, and she ordered the fish tacos. Both were good, served hot, and had solid flavor. Portions were generous, and we ended up taking some home. Service: Service throughout the meal was very good. They did a great job getting us settled with waters and menus. Our server was super enthusiastic and friendly, and the pacing was spot on. Nice job, Brandon. Atmosphere: It's a well-designed space. It was very busy, though there were still plenty of booths and seating options. Unfortunately, we were seated next to a small group that was video chatting and had a screaming baby on the other end. I like babies... just not while I'm eating. Overall: Mostly a good experience. I would go back, with a request to sit in a quieter area.

It came with house chips which were not fresh. I did not eat much of the bun and only 1/2 the meat and a few chips. I should have complained so that's on me. Now for the server. she was great. Stopped by often and very friendly. Would I go back, yes, I would if in the area but won't order the burger for sure. With 4 in our group and only one issue I gave a 3-star rating.

The washrooms are also located at the front. We did not venture in too far, but I did see more seating in the back of the bar. It was a bit busy and a little loud, but you cannot control the guests. The entrance does have stairs. in addition, there is a fenced area in the back that can be utilized in the warming months. There is parking on the side of the building. We asked our server Taylor "Columbia" what she recommended, and she offered the sausage pizza as that is a top seller and she suggested the burgers. We ordered the sausage pizza with a full order of fries, and we were not disappointed. In addition, we ordered two burgers to-go. When placing that to-go order we asked for extra napkins and plastic ware as those we ordered for would be eating on their 45-minute ride home. Many times (other restaurants), these items are missed, but not this time. Much appreciated. As requested, the fries came out first. Hot and crispy and salted perfectly. Then the pizza came out. The crust was crunchy and tasty making the pizza in itself delicious. Great recommendation from our server. And the girls were rather satisfied with their burgers as well. Would highly recommend visiting Bowery Bar and Grill. The staff is kind and fast and the food is delicious.

A friend of mine took a sip and winced.... This is a staple cocktail in Wisconsin. Do it right or dont do it. I quietly returned the drink and asked for a whiskey on the rocks... I made no scene... then was charged for the whiskey as well!!! About 8 people were seated at the bar.... Brewers were playing..... end of game, extra innings.
