This place was much better many years ago, like 10. This was the first time in maybe 3-4 years (due to the same issues) and they had a buy a beer get 1 free in a local rag, OK. So the staff is challenged in many ways. I ordered a personal pepperoni/sausage pizza and it was missing the sausage. The bartender who could not leave her phone alone did not seem to care so I asked did the cook make a mistake and she replied she did not hear me say sausage. She offered to remake it and I said no. The crust is crap and it was over cooked. Others have said the same. I was watching drag racing (auto drag racing) on the main TV in front of me and another server changed the channel. I said what are doing?! She smiled and said Bingo Tuesday, 7pm. It was 6:40pm. So for 40 minutes it was a static photo. I moved to watch it on a smaller crappy TV. She walked over and kissed her, I assume, physically, gravitationaly challenged lover. Asked to cash out. Prior to walking there I checked the online menu, typical bar food but I had a taste for pizza. Online a personal two topping was $10 and I was charged $12. She looked online and adjusted the price for me. This is not the first time I came across the buy-1-get-1 beer coupon and if another comes along I will pass. read more

After many years of hiatus due to very crappy service and a horrible co-owner, we decided to go back to The Tap Room. Ryan bought out his partner so I figured give them another try. We did get fried pickles on each of our sandwiches, I got seasoned fries ( I would say battered, but I didn't taste any seasoning), and he got tots. My husband's burger was good, the server was not doing well this morning due to being over zealous last night with alcohol and she never asked how he wanted his burger, pink or no pink. It came out no pink, but it was not dry and was good. The burger is supposed to come with lettuce, tomato and onion. I had a BLT, well I had a BL, they did not have tomato. I was not told this by our server, when the sandwich came I noticed no tomato and I asked the other server and she said they were out of tomatoes. I told her I wish I would have known as I would have ordered something else. No offer of a discount, no offer of ordering something else, no I am sorry. She then told our server that they are out of tomatoes, well they are not out as they ran out, the owner said they are too expensive so he is not buying them. SHEET! A BLT has very few ingredients and tomato is one of the main ingredients. Not having tomato on a burger is a little different than not having tomato on a BLT. If you do are not buying ingredients, all of your staff needs to know an you need to let the customer know before the order comes out without the ingredients. Disappointed to say the least. I will give them one more try as we are really trying to shop local and support SM businesses. They do have a brunch on Saturday and Sunday, I did not get a picture of the 4 breakfast items, but you can order anything on the menu. read more

Fun neighborhood vibe of a bar and the wait staff was friendly but not horribly attentive. I had the crab Rangoon pizza and it was horrible! Crust tastes like cardboard, it was over cooked and no crab flavor whatsoever I could only eat a couple of pieces. My first time here because I was told they have the best wings in the city and they did not disappoint! The wings are grilled to perfection, seasoned well and they have a list of flavors to choose from. Flavors like PBnJ , Honey Mustard, Dragon's Breathe, etc. The service is very friendly. Our bartender was super nice and funny. The other waitress made sure we were good and polite. The drinks were good too. The bartender made me a crow blackberry mule and then I asked if he could mix a white claws wild cherry, with peach schnapps and grenadine. It literally tastes like a peace of candy. The service was terrible. I did not receive my order when the rest of the group received theirs, in fact I had to go to the bartender and say something. I was overcharged on my bill after using the buy $20 and get $40 of my bill. The waitress we had was a disappointment. The only reason I would go back is to get my money refunded to me. read more

Friends and I stopped here on a party bus and the staff was so accommodating welcoming a large group on such a busy day. Ryan also hooked us up with a free appetizer! Came here for a low key date night and it was great! We had the jalapeño popper rolls as an app and they were hefty and delicious - especially with the paprika sauce on the side. My partner ordered various flavors of wings (the dragons breath is no joke) and I ordered the Big Mac pizza. My pizza tasted just like a Big Mac and was loaded with toppings - it was messy but tasty. The fish fry is different. I got the fried cod. The breading is cornmeal and a bit too crispy and dry, but the fish inside is good. They asked if I wanted "potato pancakes", but the menu called them "potato cakes". They are not potato pancakes, but in that same style. Very greasy and buttery. No onion or garlic or any kind of seasoning. I was surprised when the plate came out and it had ketchup, tartar sauce and taco sauce. I was a little lost. Watch your money! I was overcharged. I paid for drinks in advance and then they showed up on the bill with the food. The bartenders quickly corrected it. Servers are nice, but service was really slow. I ate all my food, so it was not bad, but I can't in good conscience give the experience more than three stars. read more

Tried the wings because of a review stating they have grilled wings, but these wings are definitely breaded and fried and then tossed in sauce. Ordered sweet Asian chili and medium bone in wings. Preferred the sweet Asian chili sauce. Medium differed from Frank's hot sauce flavor and had a tangier flavor. Unfortunately the skin in the wings were soft and took away from the overall flavor. The meat was tender though, but not seasoned. All the flavor in the sauce. Fries were good, nice spiced and a little crisp. I did order delivery so maybe everything is crisper dining in. Overall a decent contender for the area as other places may have more seasoned wing meat but the meat is overcooked. The wings here were cooked to just right doneness. read more

Come here regularly for Jukebox bingo. Always a great time. Fish fry was very good. Only problem, my potato pancakes were overdone. Pretty dark and crispy. But, waitress took care of it, no problems. The baked French onion soup was very salty... I ordered a brunch burger medium rare. It came well done and very greasy. My wife ordered the classic chicken sandwich (fried) and it was over cooked and dry. The sides were good though and sauces were great. We came here as a second option when the last place was out of burgers. This place is a brewpub with pub food and beer. Perfect! They also have a cornhole game inside the pub. We learned about pulltabs which are gambling. Small sheets which you pull four tabs and see if you win anything. Nicolette, our server, bought one from the machine to show us, neither of us had any cash. She did not win but conveyed to us that it is a pretty big deal around here. We had a seat at one of the tables and we each ordered a beer. When the beers arrived, my colleague ordered a burger and I chose a flatbread pizza. I asked about the Yelp check-in offer of a free apple pie shot. Nicolette did not know what we were talking about and asked the bartender. She came back and told us they were out of that. We live three hours away and come down to visit our kids who live in the neighborhood. We Have been going there for seven years. This is the first time in about six months that we've been there. It was the worst fish fry I've ever had. No flavor and the breading was horrible. I had French onion soup, which was 100% salt. My son-in-law had the same thing I did and he agreed it was absolutely horrible. I've always loved the food here but finally got to try the brunch and it didn't disappoint. I got the Texas skillet which came with hot links, eggs, onion, green pepper, and cheese all on top of hash browns. It was so good. Then I tried my wife's breakfast pizza and I was blown away. We both kept saying best breakfast pizza we've ever had. Maybe it's the beer cheese on it? They don't have a ton of options for brunch but what they do have is really good. read more

What a great bar! A bunch of my friends and I decided to go out and do Sunday brunch. They have all you can drink mimosas and bloody Mary bar for $20!!! And the foodoh my goodness where do I even begin.... The bar is quite spacious and they have a really cute outdoor seating area. They offer a small brunch menu along with amazing appetizers, sandwiches and drinks! They were offering $.50 wings on Sundays and the variety that they have is fantastic. I decided to try the sriracha bourbon and the mango have a habanero. Everybody ordered a variety of food and we all ended up sharing. The portion sizes are very nice! This is our typical Trivia Tuesday spot. Tuesdays can get crazy busy, but the service is usually fantastic. As for food, the wings here are great. Actually, this I probably my #2 spot for wings in the Milwaukee area, behind Jonny Hammers. Try the maple flavor. It's not a saucy flavor, and it's sweet/smoky, and crisp. Yum! Also be sure to opt for the deep fried pickles, and my personal favorite--pretzel balls with cheese. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I ordered pickup on their website. It must have been busy so when I placed the order it said pickup 45 minutes later. So, I called to cancel my order. This man who sounded quite intoxicated, couldn't find my order. And insisted that I never ordered. I had a receipt and an order number. He began swearing at me. When I asked his name, he stated "I'm the owner, I'm Ryan mother fuckin G------". It was at that moment, I will NEVER do business with this place again. After being disconnected, I called back, I confirmed that it was "Ryan" and he then changed his name to "Kevin". He told me if I want to do something about it I should "pull up!!!" He said he's "the Serbian in the blue hat". I couldn't believe what I was hearing. From an OWNER of a BUSINESS!! The next morning I was some how reimbursed for my order. A receipt was sent to me for the credit at 8:00AM. I would never recommend this place to anyone! ZERO stars if I could. read more
