She could've told me if she had turned up on time. And no help line for support. She then wouldn't cancel the appointment which makes it look like I had the cleaning done. 2st appointment the guy tuned up 90mins after the agreed time. Then the second time, without the Groupon deal, we were shocked after the cleaning because of all the additional charges they tagged on which made the service extremely expensive and worth the value. Cozy Maid tags on a $16/hr pplatform fee, yup, Per hour! Plus a $9 processing fee on top. They also charged us $20/hour priority fee! That's $36/hr that the cleaner doesn't get!! There is NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM by phone and they only have an automated "Help Bot" online who NEVER answers your question or gets you to a real person to assist you! They have my money and don't feel obligated to keep their scheduled appointment!! The reviews that you read are all saying the same thing: "Don't buy the Groupon". I should have read the reviews, because I had the same experience as all other one-star reviews: They don't show up. I made an appointment for Wednesday at 7:00 AM. I receive a message/text from the house cleaner asking me if she could show at 8:00 instead. I countered with 9:00, which she accepted. At 7:30 on the day of cleaning, I receive a text stating the cleaner would not be arriving. So, I make another appointment for the following Monday. The new cleaner - "Michael" says 11:00 AM. I agree. At 9:15 that morning, Michael texts to say he'll be there 12:00 - 12:30. Shortly after 12:00, with no cleaner in site, I ask for a revised ETA. Nothing Seeing this as a pattern, I cancel the voucher. Then starts the issue of having Groupon recognize the cancellation. There is nothing on their site that would allow a refund for this vendor. I did get attention (and a prompt response) when I DM'd Groupon via Facebook. I didn't get my $$$ back, but did get credit equal to the cleaning fee via 'Groupon Bucks'. Fair enough, I'll likely find something on Groupon that I can use, but will read the reviews re: any new vendor before spending any $$$. My 1st experience and the last I would not recommend this service. They are online you never get to speak to anyone. It was a coupon given to my by my daughter everything was set up online. They charged me extra as I wanted my baseboards cleaned too. The cc was charged before the service. The cleaning girl came an hour late. She looked at the rooms cans asked me where to start I told her upstairs' she started at the Master bath and spent 4 hours when I went upstairs I was surprised to see her in the Mbath. She then went to the guest bath ands spent another 2 hours. It was was 5 pm by then she told me that she had to pick up het daughter from the baby sitter and would not be able to Do the one hour . My daughter bought a Groupon for a Cozy Maid service as a gift for me. The Groupon service was for two hrs. I added another two hrs. of service through a payment that would not be charged until services was rendered. The system told me one out of three people would contact me, according to my zip code, close to the date I requested. One person did accept the job. We spoke on the phone about what I needed. Then, because of medical reasons, I went back into the system and changed the date for service. The automated system sent me two to three texts of different dates or hrs. that I requested and was paying for. I responded to the system for correction then decided to call the cleaner to make sure she wasn't confused. She told me the system was confusing her as well. But she sounded like a whole different person than who I originally talked to. When we hung up from our call I wasn't feeling confident about who I was dealing with so I went back into the system and requested a different cleaner. After I was sent, by text from the company, a different cleaner, I contacted her via text about what I needed to be cleaned. She was almost clueless in her responses but I was going to give her a chance. When the day and time arose there was a no show, no text nor call. After an hr. and a half I contacted the cleaner and she said she didn't know she was scheduled for that day. Now I know we texted about it! Anyway, I asked her if she can contact the company on her end. She also said she had no way of contacting the company and that I'd need to call them or email them and how they sucked. She also advised me to cancel my request. I didn't want to cancel my request because their system says if you cancel within less than 72 hrs. then you will be charged. Then I texted her back and asked if she even had an email address and she asked me, " what are you talking about?" (Clueless!) I replied, "Nothing!" I went to google and found a list of complaints and that the company was worth one star! Someone posted a phone number and email address. I called and left a voicemail. I emailed the company. This was Tuesday, 7/11. Received a text from the company on Friday 7/14 with the same cleaner and a cleaning date for Saturday, 7/15. No! I didn't want their services so I replied to the text that I did not any new services from them nor did I want anything from them. Then the system sent me another text that gave me a list of names I never heard of and said none of these people replied to my request for Sat., 7/15. Then I received another text that gave me a new date for today, Monday, 7/17, and a different cleaner. So I sent another email to the company explaining how I didn't want their service, and that I will report them to the Better Business Bureau, report their practices on some social media platforms (including Yelp), etc. I I finally went to their system and pushed cancel. Stating he would be at my house at 8am 7/15/21 . I wasn't happy about it . My wife , and I made arrangements to make sure someone was there to let him in. I came on here and read all the 1 Star reviews, and I was shocked, because my first experience with Cozy Maid was not a bad one. I had my house cleaned in Sept 2021 by Tocarra from Cozy Maid. She was on time, and did a great job. So going off that experience I wanted to get another cleaning done. I picked my 3 choices, but they always seem to try and send someone else that you did not pick. I set my appointment (last week) up for today at 1pm. There was a female that confirmed that she was coming (last week). yesterday, she cancels, and another person was supposed to come today. So I get up and go to gym early, so I can be home in time for him to come do the cleaning at 1pm. 1:00, 1:02, 1:10, 1:20..... I check the website where you can only talk to a Bot and NEVER a real person, it said to wait am hour before you count as a NO SHOW. Then at 1:35pm I get a text sayin that the Maid "Ben" is unable to make the appointment. Thats it. I'm not messing with these people again.
