Chef Luana's pizza class was an absolute delight. Her passion for Italian cuisine was infectious, and her expertise was evident in every step of the process. From the moment we started kneading the dough to the final bite of our homemade pizza, we were captivated by her knowledge and enthusiasm. The class was not only informative but also incredibly fun. We learned valuable techniques, such as the perfect ratio of flour to water and the importance of a well-fermented dough. Chef Luana's guidance was clear and easy to follow, making the experience enjoyable for both experienced and novice cooks. Who knew you could cut pizza with scissors. The pizzas we created were absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. We went home with more pizza than we could eat, as well as extra dough to experiment with later. Overall, Chef Luana's pizza class was a fantastic experience that I highly recommend. It's a fun, informative, and delicious way to learn a new skill and appreciate the art of making authentic Italian pizza.

He brought all of the ingredients and the cooking equipment, occasionally entertained us while the food was cooking, and cleaned up after himself. I mean spotless. We had chicken, sausage, and shrimp in the paella -- one of us didn't want mussels. Lots of high quality ingredients, including the saffron. We didn't think we could finish the large dish but I may have had three portions. Definite 5 stars for Chef Ray.

I interviewed several private chefs to cook a dinner for 14 and knew almost instantly that Ray was my guy. As the dining table and kitchen are in close proximity, I knew chef would necessarily be part of the evening and I wanted someone whose personality would vibe with our unruly, irreverent, straight/gay tribe of bff's. What was served was superb. The food was yummy, scrumptious, delectable. All the words. And it was a real challenge to devise a menu that accommodated numerous personalities and dislikes. So, rest assured Ray is creative, resourceful and very skilled. But HOW it was served - with gregarious warmth and humor - truly made the evening special. Everyone totally fell in love with Ray and swooned over his culinary offerings. Days later, I was still receiving gushy texts about the food, the chef and the magical atmosphere. Thank you Ray, for helping turn a potentially crappy moment into a lovely, unforgettable one. I will take a little credit for having the common sense to choose you :)

I wasn't just following trends, I was ahead of them. I wore things before they hit, before they made sense to anyone else. That takes effort, instinct, and money. It's a different kind of life. And unless you're in it every single day, on the creative or design side, you slowly lose touch with what's emerging now. Walking into Mojave Flea Trading Post brought all of that back in a very real way. I feel completely comfortable in a space like this, but it also reminds me of a version of myself that used to help shape what people wore. There's a quiet nostalgia to it. Not regret, just awareness. I don't need to be that person anymore. Now I care about different things. I look for natural fabrics like 100% cotton and linen, pieces that breathe, pieces that feel good on your skin and don't come with all the hidden downsides. And this store delivers on that. There are racks of thoughtfully curated items that feel both current and wearable, coming from new designers who are clearly paying attention. It's not just clothing. It's a point of view. And what makes it even better is the space itself. There's a matcha spot and a small food area tucked into the back where you can sit, slow down, and just enjoy being there. It turns a shopping trip into something more like an experience. This is a genuinely great addition to Palm Springs. The kind of place that gives the city a little more edge, a little more relevance. Palm Springs is lucky to have it.
