We hired Chef Jeff to cook an in-home meal for a bachelorette party for 13 ladies. The food was good and the price was great. They were quick to contact me and set-up the dinner. The price was also the best quoted for what we wanted. The food list was quite extensive so we definitely had a lot of good things to choose from. We had two servers to assist throughout the dinner.our dinner consisted of 3 tray passed apps, salad, filet entreé, garlic mashed potatoes, veggies and a chocolate cake. In the Coachella Valley everyone has "the best" of "anything" and "everything" when it comes to recommendations, but the reviews people are willing to spend the time writing always tell a tale. No one takes time to write about the "most mediocre dinner I ever had, it was just what I ordered." NO! It's either the VERY BEST and you want to shout it from the rooftops, or it was so incredibly bad that it is worth ruining a company's online reputation... in turn, ruining their in-person reputation. I have never been to an event and thought, "Oh, I can't wait to write about this and tell everyone I know!" UNTIL NOW... For the past several weeks I have been assisting a friend in planning a private party to celebrate her 25th Anniversary with a 50-Person Guest List. We interviewed several caterers, all with 5-Star reviews, all with something they felt they brought to the table that others didn't, but of the several we spoke to, Chef Jeff was the one we both immediately felt drawn to. He doesn't have a gimmick, he wasn't set on steering us away from the the menu we asked for, as was the case with the others. He didn't bat an eye at our request for "filet & lobster," but rather, he elevated it to the most incredible filet and lobster pairing one will ever taste. That was a big deal for my friend, as it was what was served at their wedding reception 25-years ago. Although we explained the importance of the dish to the other caterers, each of them found a way of saying the dish was "played out," and their suggestions drew us farther and farther away from the vision. From the very start he took our suggestions and elevated them into a menu that dreams are made of. As the event got closer every single vendor gave us a reason to worry that it wouldn't come together in time, but not Jeff. He has such a calm demeanor and not once did we feel he had lost site of the vision we had created together. Last Saturday was THE DAY and, as expected, Jeff arrived at the exact time he said he would . He brought everything he needed, and he even provided the catering staff, who were all as equally calm and put together as their Chef. They were all professional, with warm smiles. You don't get stuffy uptight service with his team. It's obvious that his catering staff respects him and has been with him for a while, as they all work in tandem with one another in perfect harmony. Chef Jeff was great to work with and all of his suggestions fit the vision perfectly. Even with his responsibilities of manning the kitchen, ensuring his staff stayed on task, and of feeding 50 Guests, he still managed to keep the dinner on schedule, but never hesitated when someone asked for his assistance. As much as I would like to keep this gem all to myself, I would be doing a disservice to my peers if I don't share it with you all. Everyone raved about the food, from start to finish, and I have already shared his information with a handful of people from the dinner that are hoping to book him for their upcoming events, and we learned that several of the local attendees have hired his for their events in the past and continue to use his services regularly. I hired Jeff to cater eight meals for our group of 24 adults--5 breakfasts and 3 dinners. We were getting together for a reunion at a large house in Bermuda Dunes near Palm Springs. Everyone in the group was very pleased with Jeff and his staff and the meals he prepared for us. In all my dealings with Jeff, he was extremely prompt and professional, sending me detailed menus and a price breakdown for each meal. He was on time, had the meals ready exactly when we asked for them, and was enjoyable to have around. Jeff was very easy going and accommodating, key ingredients for a relaxing time! He and his staff cleaned up afterwards, leaving the leftovers for us to have for lunches. All staff members were very efficient and friendly. The meals were delicious and well presented, with chaffing dishes to keep them hot. A variety of items were always included to please every taste. It was great to come down every morning and have the coffee made and just relax on the patio with each other while Jeff and his staff finished preparing our breakfast. The cut-up fruit was always fresh, and the variety provided made sure there was something everyone liked. My favorite dinner was our Mexican meal.
