I now understand why my general dentist and endodontist referred me to see Dr. David McClenahan…read morewith North Suburban Periodontics, and further, why his practice commands the wait list. Their office location is convenient, clean, organized, and managed well. Friendly administrative office staff who are great at what they do. Most importantly, Dr. McClenahan is ridiculously talented! There are those who serve their profession, and do it moderately well, but lack the enthusiasm and passion...and then there's the increasingly rare instance when you find an individual who serves their profession with top-tier finesse and precision because they're truly passionate about what it is they do - and excel at their craft as a result. Aside from being: friendly, funny, warm, patient, and informative, Dr. McClenahan is relaxed as he's working which puts you the patient in a state of ease/relaxation. I had tooth #19 (bottom molar) extracted to prep a future implant today, and I walked out of the office feeling better than I did walking-in. No exaggeration. How's this even possible? I almost fell asleep in the chair during this procedure. Lol. I was eating, shopping, and back to work within 30 minutes of leaving his office without the slightest bit of discomfort or pain during or post procedure. I was given clear pre and post operation instructions, was in and out, and I know with certainty that I made a solid decision to have this work done by the best of the best. This is the type of contact/practice you keep for life. GOD bless your hands, your wealth of knowledge, and your practice. : )

I went here mid-January to get my wisdom teeth extracted and had a smooth, quick, and easy visit!…read moreDr. Perry was straightforward and willing to answer any questions I had. The folks who assisted with the surgery made sure I was comfortable leading up to the surgery and as I was coming out of the anesthesia.

This office went for me from a 5 star review to a 1 star review in about 30 minutes. Let me…read moreexplain. First, I was very pleased that they would honor my dental insurance. Secondly, they had a very comfortable waiting room with various snacks and lightning fast Wifi. This is where the good stuff abruptly ended. When I was called to come in we were led, instead of to an examining room, to an office. The office employee then told me and my wife that before they could see me they wanted an immediate payment of $398 for 3-d x-rays. I then told this person since I have insurance that the usual procedure would be for the office to provide the service, submit the claim to my insurance company and then bill me for the balance. She said she would immediately talk to her insurance coordinator and left the room. She came back 10 minutes later and told us that we would have to pay $197 immediately and bill the insurance the balance. I reiterated that all dental offices we have dealt with did the service first, billed the insurance, and there would be an EOB for us to remit the rest. She insisted on this prepayment, we informed her that this is not the way we do business, and walked out of the office, That is why this office went from 5 stars to 1 star in less than a half hour.
