My Samsung Galaxy S4 cell phone battery didn't seem to be holding a charge, and charging the battery appeared to be touch and go. Initially I ran around town looking for a replacement at the T-mobile store, Best Buy and a cell phone accessory store, but none of these stores carried it. Best Buy offered to order a replacement battery for me and stated that I wouldn't be able to find it at any store in town. They were wrong! Pacific Power Batteries had one in stock even though my phone was 2+ years old. The battery replacement had a slight charge already on it, so I was able to power up my phone and verify that it worked before I left the store. The shop offered to recycle my old battery. While I was there, I also bought a backup power brick so I could juice my phone up on the go. A few weeks later, I returned to the store to buy a replacement battery for another old cell phone (Samsung Galaxy S2). Unfortunately they didn't have this one in stock, but that was reasonable considering this phone was about 4 years old. The clerk offered to order the replacement cell phone battery for me. Four days later they contacted me to come pick it up. My old phone works now, so I can transfer the photos and data off of it, erase and reset the phone to factory settings and then hopefully sell or recycle it. The store appears to have a wide range of battery products. I noticed a gentleman in the parking lot trying to jumpstart his car. The store staff provided him with jumper cables and a battery power source. I left before he got his vehicle running, but he was definitely in capable hands. The store is located on the east side of I-5 on Iowa Street in the industrial neighborhood. The storefront is part of a small strip center with several parking spaces in front. There are usually two guys working there, so you never have to wait long to be helped. read more

My son recommended Pacific Power Batteries and said, "If it has anything to do with batteries, they can handle it." There were a couple old cameras and watches that had given up the ghost years ago that I had in mind. "I wonder what this will cost me." I said. "You'll be surprised," was his quick response. The shop was a little difficult for me to find but it shouldn't have been. It's just East of I-5 on Iowa St. We were greeted as we first entered the store by Juston, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. We started with the camera batteries, "It looks like they have been stored inside the camera for a long time," Juston observed. "True," I thought. "They're probably exhausted," I said. With a shrug of the shoulder, I said, "I guess I'll have to toss 'em." Justin continued, "Maybe not," he said. "There's an 'Industry Secret' that will let us get them fixed for you, if you don't mind leaving the batteries here overnight." He demonstrated the 'trick' by bring an invisible battery to his lips with both hands and mimed like he was blowing up a small balloon. "We can breathe life back into these old guys, for $5.00." I had brought in two cameras with their 4 different batteries. Aware of charges quickly mounting up, I asked, "You mean five dollars for each battery, right?" I was surprised by his answer, "We normally charge $5 per battery but for you? I can do them all for that price." It seemed that I found a place that valued the goodwill of their customers as much as I valued excellent service. "You are offering a very good deal. Are you sure?" Juston nodded in the affirmative. I suggested, "Maybe I can talk you into charging me more then?" while simultaneously reaching into my pocket to bring out the Sony and an older "Field and Stream" wristwatches. Juston turned his practiced eye on them and their backs were off in a jiffy. He would fix them, no problem. The batteries were replaced before I could ask how much he was going to charge. I should not have worried because I was surprised yet again! This time the total for parts (two watch batteries) and labor was under $6.00. And yes, you heard me right. That was the price for replacing both the batteries on both of the wristwatches. Juston must have noticed my surprise. "Too bad it wasn't Wednesday," he said, offering the bait. "Huh? What was that?" I asked. "The first watch battery is FREE on Wednesdays!" He saw my eyebrow raise in disbelief and continued, "Even if you've never been here before and all you want to do is give us a try, your first battery is on the house," he said matter-of-factly. Then said, "Well, if it's Wednesday, that is." I was stunned by the fair price(s) -AND- the exceptional service. They can handle wheelchair batteries as well as motorcycle, truck and car batteries too; all manner of batteries it seems. Can you tell that I'm now a big fan? I blame my son and, of course, Justin. My car battery had died while I was out of town. We jumped started the car but I wanted to make sure it was okay. Justin jumped into action to check it out. My car battery kept dying entirely too quickly, from things like charging my phone while waiting for the ferry, or leaving on my lights for minutes. Both AAA and my mechanic claimed the battery was fine, and that Honda CRVs had battery issues. But when I had another outage and contacted Pacific Power, Trevor told me to come on down for a checkup, and did the one thing no one else had - test individual cells within the battery, which showed that one was failing. I went in to Pacific Power Batteries to get my truck battery looked at today. My battery was very corroded and looked like it might need to be replaced. Mike helped clean up my old battery just to make sure we didn't get a inaccurate reading on the battery meter so that I would not have to replace the battery if it was not necessary. When I decided I wanted to replace my old battery Mike worked his tail off getting the old corroded gear off the old battery and installed a new one for me. This was not a easy job because all of the hardware was totally corroded and stuck together. These guys went above and beyond my expectations and I can't thank them enough. Also, I work for a large shipping company. The mechanic that takes care of our fleet of trucks recommended Pacific Power Batteries, now I see why. Thank you! read more

I particularly appreciate the service I get at the Bellingham shop, I was in there today and it just struck me how personal and respectful the employee who was helping me. Regarding products, I was very pleased with the factory second lead acid battery I purchased. I bought a group 48 Excide battery; the price was great and it has a warranty. He load tested my old battery which confirmed it was dead as a door nail and also load tested the battery I was purchasing before I departed which performed better than spec. read more

A couple of months ago I purchased a battery, a charger and an inverter for my CPAP machine. I took in my CPAP machine and cord and they sold me the right items. I tested it all out and it works beautifully! The service was great; they explained what my options were. I would definitely recommend them!
