I dropped off a brand new laptop I received for Christmas for a screen repair. (my 11 year old accidentally cracked it) When I got home i noticed a small plastic piece directly underneath the screen that was not attached properly and would hang up every time I would open/close the screen. I promptly returned the laptop to the store (by this time the technician had gone home). I was greeted by a VERY RUDE blonde lady at the front desk. Unwilling to help and very unkind. After 10 minutes of arguing with this rude person (which should clearly not be running the front desk) she accepted the laptop but with no certain agreements as to who would pay for the repairs. In the interim I spoke to another local computer repair shop and said he could do the repair for a fraction of what CPR repair would do it for. I went back to get my laptop from CPR and let this other individual repair it. He physically showed me areas that were broke by CPR repair by the small tools that they used to repair the screen. CPR Repair tried to hide this damage knowing they broke it and gave me a less that subpar product back. Remember this was a brand new computer. My important upcoming medical appointments (dates/time/contact info) were all in my phone and not to be missed! The first lie came from Rep. Novi who offered to research my phone problem for a $25 charge! I refused and said I can put that money toward an upgrade with my current Phone Source instead. She quickly said she could upgrade with a new phone and repeatedly lied while showing me several questionable phones and accessories to choose from. I questioned if my selection was a new or a refurbished phone. She said it was new and they don't sell used phones! It's nearing the stores' closing time so I quickly made the purchase and left with it and my original phone and instructions on how to transfer my data. When I asked for my receipt, she said it is sent to my email. I called the next day to tell her my receipt was not in my email! She confirmed my email address and found she had seriously noted it incorrectly! On my own, I got partial data transferred and waited for more. The third day I decided to use my right to cancel this purchase within 3-days. I revisited the store to discuss that I didn't get what I thought was a new phone. Rep. Josh repeated they sold me a new phone until I mentioned to him that this new phone should come with a charge cord and ear plugs, etc. and that I would like a refund for misrepresenting the product! He got very upset and then he admitted that it is NOT a new phone and he pointed to a very unnoticeable "No Refund" note stuck on the counter. He checked his record of this sale and when it showed my credit card payment was received, he then took on a rude so-what-attitude and said the phone "is NOT NEW and all I can do now is use it for a paper weight!" He refused any further discussion and literally ordered me to leave the store!! I left with two phones in hand, over $600 in cost, and still no data! With the repeated lies and very shady attitude, I left very unhappy about this scam-like-service that I rushed into! I took both phones to Apple Store in Southlake to get all my data transferred and learned my original phone was not charging by cord insert, but can charge by placing my phone on the newer flat charger. This was the only problem with my original phone and that advice cost me nothing! Additionally, when comparing the CPR Cell Phone Repair's receipt to my credit card statement it shows they charged me an amount difference which is all in favor of the store! When I finish paying off the phone, the phone started having problems and whenever I went to go take it back they said that they couldn't do anything and that they couldn't give me my money back for it even though they sold me the phone that was broken because I haven't been using that at all horrible service horrible time and a waste of money completely horrible. Maybe worth considering for your $300 or $400+ phone, but I took in a pair of $99 LGs to swap the screen from the first to the second (so I supplied the new glass) for which they quoted $90. I must have guessed wrong; apparently it's more than a 6 minute job for professionals :( I am a bit miffed that it took two calls and a visit to learn that; I don't understand why on the first call they couldn't say, "screen replacements are $60 and up" - if they even go as low as $60. Anyway if that's what they need for something that minor, I don't envision engaging them anytime, though you big rollers with the newest iPhone might very well find them to be lifesavers. AAR nothing more to report here, because I didn't take the "deal". By the way don't drive to this place. Though they haven't updated the Yelp listing to explain this, they seem to have a Covid policy where the door is locked. I have a line running through my screen, and considering I had my laptop for years before it got cracked and needed repair, I feel that the new screen should have lasted longer. I haven't dropped my laptop or mistreated it so I can't see why this is happening. It's still very usable, just annoying, and I definitely wish I had gone elsewhere for the initial repair. I came in today (01-19-2015) to replace my s5 screen. The price was great so i left the phone . Got a call back under 2hrs, i was amazed on fast the screen was replace. I was looking foward to picking up my phone . Once i recieved the phone and before i left we looked over it to make sure condition was good on review we both notice hair line cracks on the screen , rep was like am not sure what that is but the lcd works. I was ya it may work but the point was to have a new screen with no flaws in it. Then the rep said that he could order another, but will have to pay an additional 40 . Why would I pay extra if the screen was never fixed . I even show the rep this page where it stated Guranteed or no charge . He then said that that means he would place old screen on and return it as was . The rep then proceded to remove it while i waited. I did recieve my phone back only with glass screen no lcd . Awesome service and price! Took my IPhone 6s in for a screen repair. I was quoted $59 and that's what I paid bu once there I was also told I needed a new battery because the old had swollen and caused the screen to break. In 35 minutes I left with a new screen, battery, screen protector and they cleaned my phone so now I could hear perfectly as the ear speaker was full of lint. $129.00 total, and I am totally pleased! read more

They did a good job the first time I hired them to replace a hard drive, but then totally dropped the ball the second time. In short, I brought a Mac Mini in to get new RAM installed. They took it in and never even called me back. After a few days, I called for a status update, and they asked me to call back. I did, and still didn't get a call back or an answer. I gave up and never bothered to even go get it, since the computer was several years old and it didn't pay (in my view) to go pick a computer with non-working RAM. P.S. I should add that I don't like to make negative posts. But, I got TWO email requests from them for feedback. I ignored the first, but this was in response to the second. BEWARE!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! The owner is a scam artist. I dropped my phone off, had to wait two hours because the lightning port was broke. I came back and guess what? He did not replace the lightning port he showed me a fake battery He pulled from under the counter that has probably been sitting there for five years and told me my battery was bad so he charged me $50 to replace it. So, he guaranteed that would fix the problem. Even though I knew that seemed wrong. I went home and the lightning port was still broke... after he said it wasn't the lightning port, I returned the next day I left the phone for two hours... Came back and they had not even looked at the phone yet. He tried to get another $300 out of me for repairs that were unnecessary...this guy is a scam artist so beware!!!! I have spread the word to everyone I know not to use this guy and to boycott his shop. He is a condescending idiot who will take your money and not refund you. The funny thing is, these repair stores are a dime a dozen!! I already found a great shop that repaired it within five minutes without having to leave my phone for two hours and get scammed by this con artist. And guess what? He was not easy to work with, I came here when my Iphone 5s screen broke and they fixed it all up but only a few weeks later the glass that they replace was starting to unattached to the phone. The video chip in my MacBook Pro died. I took it in to see if anything could be done. They said they'd try but didn't think they could get it to work. Sure enough, there was nothing they could do except replace the entire mother board, which would have cost over $700. But the had a similar, newer MacBook Pro that I bought for $650. They also pulled out the hard drive from the old laptop and transferred my files to the new one for me. Good service. My only very minor complaint is that the power cord they gave me was kinda ratty vs. the fairly new one from my old machine. But that's it. HORRIBLE - HORRIBLE - HORRIBLE!!!!! Is it possible to give a rating less than 1 star? Like a negative 5 stars? The only good thing I can say about this company is if not for the technician Rick I may have had pursue my legal options with this one. We took my daughter's 2 month old Macbook Pro in for the replacement of her screen which had a slight crack in it. Had taken it to Apple first and decided to shop around a bit. Pro-Tech's repair costs were lower (at the time - worth not going to Apple to repair) and was told it would be a few weeks as the screen would have to be ordered. She was getting ready to start back at school (laptop in for repairs at the end of August) and as I hadn't heard back from them - I made what would be the first of numerous calls for an update/status - Mr. Bill K. apparently doesn't believe that part of good customer service is keeping your customers updated by just a quick telephone call. The screen was ordered but shipping from China so they offered her a loaner which was the only good service provided by Pro-Tech. I never received a phone call letting me know how things were going or an ETA for completion. After the first couple weeks I started calling each week - the first screen ordered was not the correct screen and there was an issue when they tried to install it before realizing it wasn't the right screen. Another screen was ordered, again had to wait for it to ship from China - but upon my weekly call was assured that it would be fixed and they would call me as soon as it came in. After waiting with no phone call I went into the shop and have to admit - I blew up at Rick - he was very apologetic and gave me Mr. Bill's cell number. I called and spoke to Mr. Bill who proceeded to go over the history of why it was taking so long. I had already heard the whole "schpeel" but explained to him that most of my frustration, aside from the length of time this was taking, was that no one ever calls me with an update - the only time I hear what's going on or any type of update is when I call or go into the shop. At one point, I asked if the new new screen we were waiting on didn't work - what then...and if there is any damage done to the laptop due to installing the incorrect screen how would that be handled? Mr. Bill informed me he was working with the manufacturer of the first screen to see if they would replace the laptop but wasn't having much luck - well, then my question was what next? His response: "Well I guess I would have to run it through my insurance - but I don't really want to do that --- and as you brought it in as a used computer my insurance will only cover the cost to replace it at the used computer price - and there is a deductible." His tone was almost defiant with me about it - Really? This is when I realized that Mr. Bill's business practices are shady. First of all, we paid for the part and the repairs prior to them even touching the computer - so as far as I was concerned either her repaired and functioning laptop is returned to us or if there has been damage now to the laptop itself due to installing incorrect parts - I don't give a flying hoot how much the insurance pays you to replace it - it gets replaced - at no cost to me. A couple of weeks ago I was told that they were waiting for the second screen to come in from China - guess Mr. Bill just wasn't ready to admit defeat - and that they would let me know when it arrives. Heard absolutely nothing (shocked) so I called last week to find out what was going on and the technician Rick told me that they had ordered a replacement MacBook Pro as the second screen did arrive but when installing it it caused another short in the laptop and it was not repairable. Finally - a resolution....although I never received a call telling me any of this. I have waited to post anything on YELP until we actually had the laptop (a new one or the repaired) one in our hands as this expierence has left me very suspect about Mr. Bill's business ethics and practice. For sure he is his own worst employee as far as customer service goes. I have shared this experience on my FB page. I've noticed on other negative reviews on YELP - Mr. Bill responds and the common thread seems to be he turns the situation around in his explanation to blame the customer. Curious if and what his response to this review will be! Two lessons learned here - if it's an Apple product - take it to Apple to be repaired. Certain that had this been an issue with the correct screen replacement Apple would have 1) contacted us immediately and stayed in contact with us and 2) would have handed us a replacement much sooner than this has taken. read more

I don't recommend this place, because they deliberately tried to rip me off. The positive reviews on here are mainly for iPhone screen repairs, so i wasn't sure how their computer repair service would be. Well it was terrible, they were telling me my hard drive was bad, despite me not having any issues with it prior. What a coincidence that when I got home my computer had crashed and it said my hard drive was bad. This was very suspicious so i took it to the apple store, since it was a Macbook, and the technician looked at my Macbook and saw that the hard drive was not plugged back in, but made to look like it was. My computer was fine, but what isn't fine is that this place tried to scare me into buying a new hard drive from them. The problem i was having wasn't even a hard drive problem, the apple store fixed it in no time. These people at Pro-Techs tried so hard to push me into buying a new hard drive, but in the end they won't be getting any more money out of me. Bottom line, these guys are liars and are only trying to make maximum profit out of you. Once i figured out what was happening, it made so much sense as to why they tried to convince me so hard to buy a new hard drive. I am still so mad at the deceit, I just cannot stress enough not to go here. Some people may have had positive experiences here, but i wouldn't take the chance. My husband had his screen replaced at Pro Techs and it was great. So I brought my phone there to also have the screen replaced and it was NOT so great. The screen they put on turned everything a strange and faded color. The words are very difficult to read. The screen is so overly sensitive when making a phone call it continually dials number making it impossible to talk. If I need to make a call I have to use it on speaker. I went back and told the employee and he looked at it. He gave it back to me and said all those problems must be because I dropped it. Well, I dropped it over a year ago and these problems began when they changed the screen. Now I have a practically unusable phone. read more

I have used Pro-Techs on 2 separate occasions over the last 2 years to get a cracked screen fix on my Ipad. The screen was cracked so badly the first time that it looked like there was no hope of fixing it, but they did. They did a very good job both times and the workers were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I will definitely use them again should the need arise, but I certainly hope it doesn't. read more

Had two iPhones, one had a burnt main board and the other for some strange reason had "damaged components"? We also took it to another repair shop before deciding on this one so we were aware of what the issues were. Since they were non-repairable we received store credit and the owner as well as the technician made us a deal on another model phone. We can now make calls, text etc...We did spend a lot of time and gas money but the issue was ultimately resolved. The owner is somewhat of a condescending person not to mention a con-artist/scammer. This place should be reported to the BBB. I know for sure both iPhones were reparable and knew exactly what part needed to be replaced. So yes they can provide a service and they can perform the repair on short notice but not at comparable prices. Do not use these people! I have never encountered such poor service, to where i felt the need to write a review. this is the first review that i have ever written. i took my phone in, to have the screen replaced, at the Watauga location, since it is some what close to my office. Picked it up an hour later. everything seemed okay. left it on my desk for a few hours and i noticed that the screen was coming up at the middle of the phone, on one side. I didn't know why that would happen because i had hardly touched the phone since i picked it up. Called them and informed them of the problem. I took the phone back in the next day, since i live in Dallas and did not have time to go back the same day. The location manager, Marcus looked at it. He said that his new employee did the work and said that he would ask him about it. Told me to come back in a couple of hours. I came back and Marcus said that he had the new employee fix it for me. said the new employee claimed that everything looked good after he fixed it the first time, so i must have dropped it. I did not drop it and i told Marcus that. There were no scratches on the new screen protector, so it did not even look like i had dropped it. Either way Marcus still had the screen replaced. Marcus was helpful. I inspected it more carefully this time and i noticed that there was bend in the phone, right where the screen had popped up, as well as some chunks taken out of the back piece on my phone. the person doing the repair had damaged it. I pointed it out to Marcus and asked if it would cause any problems with the functionality of the phone. he said that he did not know, but it did concern him. Marcus also acknowledged that the phone was not chipped when i left it there. He gave me the number to the owner of the company, and said to give him a call to see what he would want to do about it. I called Bill, the owner, and he told me that it could have happened from sitting on the phone or dropping it. I informed that i did not do either of these things and it was the repair person that had damaged the phone. after denying that it his company for while longer, he told me I could go by the Saginaw location and have Rick, his manager, look at it. Even though it was farther away and even more of inconvenience for me, i did not complain, because i was trying to be nice about the situation. I took it to Rick the next day and his poor customer service and attitude ended up making me extremely unhappy. He told me that it would have happened from putting it my back pocket, which i have never done with any phone. I told him that i just wanted it fixed, so the screen would not pop up again. He told me that he would do it for $70 and said that it was just ascetic. I told him I just need the damage that was done by his company to be fixed. He said that it was only ascetic and that they did not need to fix that. If he had not been so rude the entire time and taken some sort of responsibly for the problem, i really and truly would have just left it alone. I told Rick that i would have to write bad reviews, which is something that i have never done. He informed me that he did not care, because no one looks at reviews and that people give them business because he went to college and he is the best tech at the company. This and many other ridicules comments assured me that this place truly is a terrible business. The jury is still out. trip 1- I took my dead laptop in several weeks ago. diagnosis came back that i needed a new motherboard. so they installed the motherboard, (trip 2) when i got it back(for $184), computer wouldn't start. tech said it was my power supply and offered to sell me one for $49. I declined and ordered one off Amazon a week later for $25. When it arrived, computer would now start, but it wasn't my laptop, someone else hard drive had been installed and the shop gave me all their data and records etc. 3rd trip to the shop, tech says he will have to take some time to find my hard drive and keeps the laptop again. 4th trip, tech gives back the laptop, swears my hard-drive never went out the door of his shop so nobody else has my data. I get home, plug in laptop, now the hard drive is right but the battery wont charge. It was charging before I ever left it with them. I call the shop, now i gotta make 5th trip to drop off the laptop again and 6th trip to pick it up again. So, I'm not sure. If I work through this set of issues, I doubt I will go back. read more
