I brought my phone in for a new screen, I have a phone 8 plus. I got the phone back and the home button doesn't work the manager told me that the file for the home button was corrupted, I thought nothing of it and took my phone back. The next day I went to metro phone repair and they told me that he lied and never heard of a button having a file corruption. So I went back to a refund and the manager told me there is nothing they can do for me, after I explained that he lied to me he said sorry there is nothing they can do. What ever you do do not come to this location they will rip you off break your stuff and laugh in your face. On another note he told me it would cost me $120 to fix the screen then I pulled out cash and he said if I pay cash it would only be $100 so if you are looking for a place to get ripped off here is your spot. read more

I don't ever post negatively about a business but I feel that I need to let people know how terrible CPR Cell Phone Repairs is and to never go there! My daughter fell on ice and shattered her phone screen on Feb. 1. I found this place online so I took her phone there since not a lot was open (it was a Sunday). Paid $200 for the screen. My daughter's phone hadn't been charging properly since but I didn't put 2 and 2 together. We thought it was her charger so we got a new one. Yesterday, she got a battery alert to contact Apple for battery verification. I made an appointment and took her phone to the Apple Store. They ran a diagnostics report and found many issues with her phone. The battery was coming up as a "non Apple battery", the charging port was destroyed, and there was something else... The guy at Apple right away asked if I recently had my phone serviced somewhere else. He could tell because the screen wasn't an Apple screen and the colors were off (he showed me by comparing it to my phone). The guy that replaced my screen at CPR (found out he is the manager) was unable to finalize the process of replacing the screen since they are not Apple certified. With all the repairs needed, the guy at the Apple Store said that it wouldn't be worth it fixing the phone since it would practically cost the same as getting a new one ($599). I went up to the CPR cell phone repair store and told them what was going on and asked to be refunded. They wouldn't refund me since "nothing was wrong with the screen and the warranty only covers the screen." They claim that they didn't damage the phone and that replacing the screen wouldn't effect the motherboard but this is the only time her phone has ever been messed with. The man at the Apple Store felt so bad that this happened to my phone that he went out of his way to write a report with a quote for me to take with me as proof but CPR didn't care at all! If you have an issue with your apple phone, go on Apple's website and find Apple certified repair places (some Best Buys, Team Mobiles, etc do it). Very expensive lesson to learn read more

Their sign indicates that they can fix gaming consoles, so we called and took our XBOX One S to be fixed. After some internet research we were pretty sure that it was a hard drive issue and it would need to be replace. Dropped of the console and indicated the failure code and that it was likely a hard drive issue. The said they would look at it and for $30 perform a diagnostic test to determine the problem. Half way home, I received a call that they needed a controller. I would have thought that they would have one, if they fixed gaming consoles. Next day had to drive all the way back. After several days, they called to say that it was the hard drive, but they cannot fix it. Seems like I should have been informed when I dropped it off that if the hard drive need replaced, they wouldn't be able to do it and I would have move on. read more

I had broken my camera lens on the end of July so I had no lens protecting my camera. Never had any issues within the camera itself because the camera never got scratched or anything. I just needed a new lens and they broke my camera and will not own up to it. They wanted me to spend $220 on a new camera when I could just buy a new phone at this point. They broke my camera without owning up to it trying to say it was me because it started making this buzzing noise and kept trying to focus, but just made the camera shake. Took it across the street to Metro Detroit Phone Repair and they handled me so much better. They explained that they did the repair incorrectly and didn't take the camera out when fixing it which would've never broken my camera in the first place. Basically this place is a bunch of liars just trying to scam you for buying more of their products to make profit. The reason they won't fix it is because it's expensive so they want me to pay them for something that they caused which they won't own up to. read more

I purchased their $70 Groupon to get my iPhone 6 screen repaired. The repair tech spent 20 minutes fixing the screen. It looked perfect, and I was impressed. The next day, after taking the phone out of my coat pocket, the hardware that supports the screen appeared defunct (the software worked fine). The screen turned black and grey. I had to take it to the Apple Store and pay another $130 to get it fixed. The store associate said that the screen at Phone Fixers was not properly replaced. read more

Well, I had went to experimac in canton and didn't like the screen very well or the service and had problems with my phone afterwards. I found this place and it was close to me, so I bought a groupon and went in because I had my phone screen cracked for a while and really needed it fixed. Becauseit was so cracked I was nervous to take my otter box off my phone so I didn't do any more damage to my phone/glass. So thinking these guys do this otter, I left my otter box on thinking they could just take it off. I dropped it off leaving the case, it took an hour, loved the screen and bought a glass screen protector, which the first one he put on he cracked and I pointed it out and he put a new one on, has a small crack but didn't realize it until I left. So all in all I loved the screen BUT they cracked my phone case in two placed. Obviously he didn't take the hard plastic off, then the rubber, he just pulled it all and cracked it. On corner is cracked and the other cracked off an entire corner!! Was very upset and when I asked him he said "I have no clue" and went about checking me out. Good screen but pissed bout my case because this stuff ain't cheap and I figured they could properly take it off otherwise they should have told me before I left to remove it. My boyfriend went in there to get a battery for his phone that is discontinued. They charged him $20 for a battery which he then took home, put in his phone, charged to 100%, and then had to charge it again 2 hours later because it was already dead. When he called Phone Fixers they were less than helpful, told him that it's normal for batteries to last that long. He then found the hand-written receipt, went to the store, asked for an exchange, and got into a heated conversation with the employee of the store who also was very rude in his approach to the situation, and after the employee refused to replace the battery he refunded my boyfriend the $20 and threatened to call the police on my boyfriend. My boyfriend left with no battery in his phone because he gave it back to the store, he then went to a Metro PCS store (which is where his phone service is) and got a battery for $35 which lasts him a day and a half to two days long. They will sell you used batteries that they also "test" (they charge them and drain them and charge them and drain them etc they informed my boyfriend that this is what they do with batteries). I would never go there and I would never recommend them. I also do not give them a one star rating that is the only thing I could give them they really deserve a 0 star rating read more

After 5 visits of them "fixing it" They broke my iPhone so the fingerprint passcode no longer worked and they refused to return my money and the ONLY way they would return the 85 of the 100 dollars I spent was by putting the shattered screen back on my phone. I cracked the screen on my Samsung Galaxy S7 a few months ago. They fixed the screen and I didn't lose any of my stored data/pictures/apps etc. It was about a 2 day turnaround time. The screen looks and functions like brand new now. The only thing they didn't have in stock was the tiny metal part that covers the ear speaker. They were very transparent about this and showed me. I was fine with it. The price was expensive but better than other places I called. I paid about $170 give or take. The staff was friendly and they put a new screen cover on for me. read more

I ordered a iPhone 7 plus with them and was told that the phone was unlocked. When I went to pick my phone up they then told me it was a T-Mobile phone and he would have to charge me an additional $125 to unlock it after I had just gave them $525. Mind you the phone was not in a box, no charger, and you can tell the phone had just come out of a cell phone case. I'm pretty sure it was one of their personal phones. Also the phone was refurbished and he did not tell me that when I put my initial down payment down on the phone. They are full of crap and I also heard they don't use iPhone parts. Just got scammed here. Luckily it was just an old jail broken iPhone 5s lol. I have the iPhone 7 red limited, only needed this fixed because it was jail broken. Had it been my iPhone 7 that he broke,or my galaxy S7 it would have brought the Detroit out of me & would have had the squad waiting outside at 7pm Sunday because they close early that day or 8pm one day mon-sat in all black lol, Just kidding (disclaimer) for legal purposes .But seriously Avoid this place if you dont intend catching a case for assault after they damage your device. Two stars because he did fix my battery and charger port and it only costed $50 but created a new issue with my device no longer being able to connect to the internet. You can scam some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time. Eventually they will run into the customer that's not so passive. When that day come's be sure to tune in to your local news station lol. For reference & verification purposes I was Customer 6-24-17 ticket number 6932 & kept a copy of the recipet if needed in future.Avoid like the Black Plague. Let my loss be your blessings.
