This restaurant was close to where I was staying. So, I decided to check it out for dinner. There were lots of locals eating at this place which is indication that the food might be good. I didn't have to wait to sit down or to order my food. The waiter was very attentive. I ordered coffee and the Popeye Crepe which comes with spinach, bacon, egg, and creme. Afterwards, I ordered sweet cider. It was nice and cold! I really enjoyed everything and the crepe was a good portion for one person to eat. It can definitely be split by two people (if you're not a big eater). I would like to go back and order a sweet crepe. There were people who actually ate a salty crepe and then a sweet one. The cost of the food is a little pricey: 1. €4 coffee 2. €8.50 Popeye crepe 3. €4 sweet cider The total amount that I spent was €18 including tip.

A friend of mine lived in Paris a few year's ago and said she went to Creperie des Canettes every day for lunch for a week straight. That was enough of an endorsement for me! My Popeye crepe was really tasty but the clear winner at the table was the dessert crepe that we shared - warm caramel, sliced almonds and fresh chantillymy mouth is watering just thinking about it! Seating at this cute spot is a bit tight but it's a great place for a leisurely lunch nonetheless.

Very good galette and crepe accompanied by cider. Reasonably priced, on a cute little street by St Sulpice.

These are the best crepes in Paris. You will not be disappointed. Unfortunately, they are closed on Sundays.

This is a hard review because, on one hand the crepés were quite delicious--I ordered a chestnut…read morecream which I liked but was done with midway through and a butter and sugar which was fantastic and I could have ate many more--but it was the only place on my Paris trip that clearly ripped me off and didn't correct it when I questioned the server. I had ordered those two crepés, black tea, and a little milk for the tea. This should have only set me back about 20ish€ in total (the crepes were about 6-7€ and tea 5€). I was charged 37€. As I paid at the register I asked the server (in my halting French) "is it really 37€? That doesn't seem right." She shrugged and said, "Oui, 37€." While I didn't want to make a big deal out of it--nothing like being the raging American in a country not your own--I unhappily paid and chalked it up to an inevitability: every overseas trip it has had this happen once, where the language barrier seemed like an excuse to cheat. This was my one in Paris.
