We were looking for an authentic creperie while we were visiting Paris so we asked our concierge and they recommended this place and said it was the best that he knew of. It's quite a walk from the hotel but worth it. It's down a street full of creperies and this was the only one with a line outside of it. It gets quite crowded as it's small but worth the wait. *Their crepes are double crepes and made with wheat - a huge plus for me! *Saumon Fume (smoked salmon, lemon & creme) was delicious. Not too salty at all and you add as much lemon & creme as you want. *My cousin ordered the Josselin (eggs, ham, cheese, mushrooms) and loved it. The only thing that she would change is that they used canned instead of fresh mushrooms. *They come around and ask you if you want dessert once you finish your meal. We ordered the Montquaise (banana, chocolate, rum & coconut ice cream) and they flambe it as they walk to the table. Delicious! And it arrived in less than 5 mintues! *Each crepe is about 8-11 Euros each. Definitely worth the walk from the Louvre but there are metro stations near it (Montparness is one of them). Would recommend this to others.. but it's closed on Sundays.

Just to give you the background on the situation... I am an American that came to Paris with my Mom & sister on our vacation. I spent a summer in Paris as an intern with much of my personal time in Levallois Perret, but it was a little far to try to track down my favorite crêperie in my old town since we wanted a quieter less expensive area to stay in and opted for Montparnasse. But my point bring that I am familiar with real french food, and I do speak French. Enough about me, now to the review: While we were hoping to go to Crêperie Josselin (since it had such great Yelp reviews) they we closed for summer holiday, so Petit Josselin was a nice second option which did not close for holiday. The service was very friendly and I even notice them accommodating Americans that did not even attempt to use ANY French (merci, s'il vouz plait... the basics) and they accommodated them with a very positive demeanor. I consider this to be exceptional service in a small town in Paris! Most local places will get very rude with Americans that can't speak any French. I got the crêpe Josselin avec Roquefort, my sister got the Josselin, and my mom got the sausage crêpe avec champignon. (Roquefort is a very strong blue cheese, champignons are mushrooms, and the Josselin came with egg, cheese, ham, and mushrooms) Adding any additional ingredients is 2€ extra. We also ordered a large bottle of cider and a sweet citron crêpe (lemon). The dessert crêpe was my favorite!! The low down is the savory crêpe was very tasty although much more greasy and crispy than the crêpes I am used to. The moment you walk into this very tiny restaurant you can smell sautéed butter. A delicious smell, but can be somewhat overwhelming! I am more used to a crêpe being a thin pancake, not a greasy flour chip. Nonetheless it was very tasty and the dessert crêpe with 3 espressos made the meal! My last comment that I eluded to, is the size of the restaurant. It is tiny! My mom & sister hand to lean forward so as not to hit their head on the very large wooden decoration on the wall and you are very very close to the other patrons and servers as they move around. Since you are in Europe, and EVERYTHING is smaller thus did not bother us, but it could bother some who aren't used to it. Overall, this place had good food, very friendly service, and an adorable personality to it. I would like to try other crêperies on the block (since there are many) but I wouldn't hesitate to go back if the opportunity presented itself.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.
