At first it was CR110 Storage and was privately owned. This was a nice facility with concrete slabs to store your RV with an air machine to air up your tires, potable water and non-potable water faucets, with a dump station. All of the amenities were in good working conditions when it was privately owned. SpareBox from Colorado bought out the original owners and you could see a dramatic shift in the operating procedures. SpareBox replaced front office staff with automated machines and if you had a problem good luck in getting any help. In August 2024, I sent an email complaint as the air machine was no longer operational and had not been operational for some time and the faucets for the potable and non-potable water were leaking and impossible to operate. SpareBox immediately closed my ticket and thanked me for the information. Nothing was fixed but the ticket was closed! The following year (August 2025) it was time again for me to renew my lease. I again forwarded the original complaint from August 2024 and provided them with an update. The only thing that was corrected from the original complaint was the potable and non-potable water and it now comes out of one faucet with a splitter. Shortly after my follow-up email in August of 2025, I received an email from the SpareBox VP of Operations that stated: "I think it's best that you find a storage facility better aligned with your needs". SpareBox has continued to up their rates each year and on these facilities but has not fixed or provided the customer with an email letting them know that some of the amenities are no longer available. Since owning my RV I have always been told that you NEVER mix hoses that you use for potable and non-potable water, but SpareBox management sees a simple fix and has now put all of their customers at risk for contaminating the water supply within their RVs by using one faucet for potable and non-potable water. Again, I think that the SpareBox facility is a good facility, but they are in it for only the MONEY!!! If a customer complains and follows it up, you will be asked to leave their facility as they do not want to deal with you or fix the issues that were brought to their attention. The SpareBox facility must be almost at capacity and good facilities are in high demand for individuals storing their RVs, therefore SpareBox management solution to customers who bring up issues is to ask them to leave. As a lessor, I would assume that if the owner is raising their rates, that they would also be willing to keep the amenities operational and in good repair. Something as simple as a complaint about the air machine and water can cause you to be asked to leave their facility. I have worked with customers for over 30 years and I still work at a customer facing job and if I provided feedback to any one of my customers as was provided to me by the VP of Operations at SpareBox, I would be fired immediately. If you are someone who likes paying high prices and have low expectations and are told to shut up and live with what you get, then you are probably a good customer for SpareBox. SpareBox also offers new customers a great deal on their storage but will not give anything to long-term and dedicated customers. Once they get you, they figure you are hooked, and you will be willing to accept anything. If you want bad management and amenities that are not up to standard, then look to SpareBox for your storage needs!!!!!!! Yes, I did move my RV to another location and will not be back to SpareBox.

    MOLD MOLD MOLD! Some time between March and July the…read moredistrict manager decided to save a few dollars and turn the AC up to mid or high 80s. We walked into our climate controlled unit noticing how hot and humid it was. I thought maybe some nearby units had gotten flooded in the recent rain because it felt like a wet sauna inside. We started seeing mold growing everywhere and damaging our items. We tried to get all of our items out within two weeks but we kept getting physically sick everytime we went in there. This happened in the south east corner of the climate controlled building. If you had a similar experience this summer I would like to chat with you about next actions.

Due to realizing how convenient, I started using it as additional storage for my business. Its been a couple of years now and was recently informed that road widening and expansion was forcing them to relocate me. Michael Williams made the process very easy. He relocated me within the same complex and gave me a great deal for my troubles. He made sure that my business needs were not a second thought, but a priority for him. Every interaction with him and their staff has always been with a smile and they act quickly to address any issues that I have brought to their attention. Thanks guys for being part of my team.

    I just want to take a moment to thank Madeline for all of her great help and work at my new storage…read moreunit. She is VERY polite, went above and beyond to accommodate me and explain EVERYTHING to me. She was very thorough and although I know that she was in training, her personality is that of a true customer service representative. I have no doubt she will go far with the company. I also wanted to thank PJ (I believe those are he initials) I think she is a manager, the one who was training Madeline, anyway, she too was a great help and even offered some professional storage advice, to make my space work better for me. Thanks! Side note, I accidentally broke a glass top and it shattered. Madeline was walking by and I asked her if I could borrow the broom and dust pan in her hand and instead of saying yes, she insisted on cleaning it up for me, so that I could keep unloading my truck. It had to have been 11o degrees plus that day. I really appreciated it. Keep up the great work.

    It is the easiest process getting a unit from them. Unfortunately they are not on top of their gate…read moremaintenance & wanted to do a 30% increase in my rent after 5 months. 4 times in one month of me going to my storage unit the gate was wide open. I reported it being stuck open and it was never fixed. When I vacated the storage unit, I used the live assistant kiosk to inform them of me moving out. I was told it was taken care of and to expect an email with the cancellation of my account within 24 hours. This was on the 30th of the month. Checked my email & Public Storage account 24 hours later & there was no email and my Public Storage account was still active. Luckily I still had 1 day left in the month before they overcharged me on an empty unit. I called the property, no answer: called the customer service line, no option for moving out; tried their live chat and finally got a link for moving out which brought me back to their app. I have " scheduled" a move out date through their app, fingers crossed this works.
