The food is consistently tasty, and the service is excellent. The staff is always cheerful and especially helpful with my blind father, which we truly appreciate. My parents love coming here because it's convenient and welcoming. Only wish there were more handicapped parking spaces and slightly more comfortable seating. I visited this restaurant last night, and I have to say I was really disappointed--especially because this is a place I usually enjoy. It was late, after the mall had closed, and it wasn't busy at all, yet the service was extremely slow. I had to wait a long time just to get a drink, table setup, and my food. I've been here when it's crowded and received much faster service, so this was surprising. What upset me the most was the food. It ended up being a waste of money because I couldn't even finish it. While eating, I found what looked like a hair in my bag , which completely turned me off. On top of that, the crab legs didn't seem fresh. My wife does not do spicy food, so I was able to sneak away for some time with my brother and we decided to visit crab pub. We had to go all out with the king crab. We went spicy.....now let me tell you, I love spicy food but this boil had us sobbing in the back corner of the restaurant and I'd do it again hahaha. I've never really been a fan of seafood boils! My kids on the other hand love it! So when my daughter requested to go here for her birthday- I had to say yes! This was our first time and if I'm being totally honest- it was an okay experience! Service was great. Our server was friendly and attentive (considering we were a large group). They even offered to store her birthday cake in the fridge until we were ready to sing "happy birthday"- very thoughtful of the staff. The food on the other hand was okay. I ordered the clam chowder and the majority of our family ordered seafood boils. The clam chowder was watered down and under seasoned. The seafood boil was way too seasoned for my liking. First of all the food, as always, is amazing. I got a pound of mussels and a shrimp pasta. Top tier and some of the best in all of San Diego...hands down. I do like the Tabasco packets...saves the restaurant on overuse and contamination. Good move. Staff were nice. However, I came in about 9pm...an hour before closing. It took quite awhile just to get a beer at the bar and no one was really here in the restaurant. Not busy and no one at the bar. They seemed to be more concerned with cleaning and closing than serving. For example, I'm eating messy food but had to get my own paper towels. When my pasta came out I would have enjoyed another beer but no me came to ask. I've been to this location quite a few times. The food has always been good and generally comes out pretty quick. Crab Pub always provides bibs and lemons. My go to is definitely the snow crab. This location is inside Plaza Bonita Mall and even though it's usually busy you usually get seated quickly. My only real complaint is that they could do a better job at keeping the drinks refilled or at least asking if you'd like a refill. Ordered crawfish to go and was pleasantly surprised by the quality. They were cooked well and not overcooked. The crawfish were fresh with no signs that they were dying or dead before cooking. It comes with corn and two pieces of sausage, which is a nice addition, but the two slices were so thin that together they could be considered a single slice at other places. I think the crawfish could've been soaked a little more so they could absorb more flavor, it was a little bit bland for me. The house sauce on the outside was good & flavorful. The crawfish could have also been cleaned better. Although you can order online, I was not able to pay ahead so they did not start cooking until I got there. The pro is my crawfish were freshly cooked when I took them home. The con is I still had to wait about ten minutes after placing the order which defeats the purpose of ordering in advance. I thought it was a nice touch that they also added a piece of butcher paper, gloves, limes and a salt & pepper mix to your order. Always easy to get seated, friendly and attentive staff (most seeming like high school or college aged kids), and a decent selection of rotating beers on tap. They offer various combos of boiled/seasoned seafood as well as an option for a La cart. There's a variety of seasonings you can choose from. The seafood it prepared well and you do receive quite a bit of food. There's a good selection of appetizers with non-seafood options too. I like that this seafood boil location offers white rice as a side. Their garlic noodles were also popular at our table and a nice partner with flavorful seafood. This restaurant can get busy and service is a mix of good and okay.. not terrible, but some items and assistance did take a little longer than we'd like. Plenty of parking as it's located at the Westfield Plaza Bonita mall. There's all sorts of fun decorations all over the walls like giant sharks and other sea creatures. There's plenty of seating for small or large parties. I would recommend getting a combination as it comes with corn, potatoes, and sausage. They have some really great seasoning options, but my favorite was the pub style (Cajun, Lemon Pepper & Garlic Butter) THE BOMB!! The servers were nice, the bartender was friendly. The drinks are OK, I would recommend sticking with beer or soda or water. Would definitely go back to this place for sure! read more

We ordered 1lb crawfish, 1lb shrimp, lobster tail, & all the extras ala carte - 1lbs corn, 1/2 sausage, 1/2 potatoes, boiled egg, 2 cups of rice, & the chicken tender basket for my son, & 2 sodas. Total was about $102 without tip. The space was new, clean, & had an open floor plan. Didn't feel squished next to other tables. We ordered pub style seasoning & extra spicy. Our waitress cautioned us about the spice which I appreciate. Not everyone can handle spicy. We loveeeee spicy so it was only right! It was very spicy, had our nose running, lips swollen & red. Lol. But it was a GOOD spice for us! Some places claim spicy but ain't really spicy at all. Lol. If you can tolerate it, I recommend! We ordered a bowl of clam chowder, some garlic bread, combo #2 and combo #5, half medium on the spice level and with their house blend. This crab boil was amazing! The only item that was a disappointment was the sausage, which was thinly sliced and it was hard to get a good sense of the quality. Other than that, this was a welcomed surprise.
