As the Crab Trap had an hour and a half wait - we checked out their bar near the bay. It had a very small menu but they literally walk the food out from the Crab Trap so you are getting the food from the real spot and not the long wait. With live music and a chill bar scene - it's a nice spot to grab a light dinner or drink and relax! We got margaritas which were refreshing and only slightly pricey at $12 each. We tried the oysters ($13) and clams ($9). Both were fresh and delicious! We also tried the crab bites ($12). They were incredible and we highly regret not getting more. The crab cake sandwich ($17) was nice and fresh though highly recommend you just stick to the appetizers and raw bar options here.

We went here by boat which is an awesome option down in somers point. Great bay front casual option to the Crab Trap. Fresh food and cold drinks. Live entertainment on certain nights. Service is very helpful and friendly. We ordered 2 crushes. One orange and one grapefruit both were delicious. We ordered the rare tuna tacos and fish and chips. Both had great flavor and decent portions. Definitely worth checking this place out by boat or car.

Decided to give this place a try because we've been to the crab trap so many times we figured we'd switch it up. Small menu but definitely enough options to choose from. Nice that they have outdoor seating and you could see the water while eating.. the lobster roll my husband had was very good . The crabcake was just OK. I was definitely underwhelmed .French fries were really delicious.. my husband clams on the shell were fresh and he enjoyed them. Wish I could say the same about the shrimp cocktail, but I cannot. It was not good at all. It if nog supposed to have a fish smell and that was a definite turn off. The cocktails were pretty bad. I wound up sending mine back. think I'll stick to the crab trap. Definitely not going back to this place.

Really cool location right on the bay, casual outdoor spot. Food was just ok. Clams casino were too salty, crab cake was coated in a breading and seemed like it was deep fried but the inside was mushy and creamy. It was definitely weird. Potato salad was flavorful but came out warm. Husbands burger was just ok. Employees were very nice!

So its right on the water so its a great vibe. You can pull your boat up and dock. The server was very friendly. I got Clams Casino. They are the same as the mother restaurant The Crab Trap. All the food is. They walk it out from the kitchen. Ive had clams casino at dozens of places and these are my favorite. I got 2 deviled clams too. I enjoy them here. The breading is a bit thick but they are good. The wife got the lobster roll. Warm butter style on a proper split bun. Only criticism would be ditch the tomato and a tad more lobster meat. Very good though. This place needs to ditch the disposable dinnerware wrapped in plastic that just blows all over and im sure much ends up in the water. The wife got a orange crush. Small and watered down. Not much alcohol in it. $10 wouldn't be awful if it was made a bit better. Anyway...cool joint and enjoyable.

I went here on a Saturday night with my boyfriend. We arrived and there was no parking whatsoever by the restaurant or in the sand lot across the street. We were nervous there was going to be an extremely long wait, but to our surprise we got sat right away! (I guess all the cars were for the Crab Trap). Our server was extremely sweet. We didn't see her all that much, but these workers are seriously busy. I got a long island and the crab cake sandwich. Their drinks always have the perfect amount of alcohol in my opinion- not too much, not too little. The crab cake sandwich was amazing (as usual). This is the place to go if you like loads of crab meat. I feel like you definitely get your moneys worth here on the quality of the food. I love coming here and will continue to come here- not to mention the views are incredible. 5/5.

Open seating setting. Can get cool on the water. Most food is fried or deep fried served in a basket. No platters or dessert. Live music but hard to hear and located in the parking lot.

Service was very good. Ambiance is very good. That sea breeze in summer is just... wow! Can't be beat! The place get super packed for lunch and promptly empties around 2ish. Sadly, the food is just horrible across the board, and there's nothing redeemable about it. Here's what I had: Crab cakes: C Not much flavor. My kids had this, and I felt bad for them. :( Clam Casino: D Dreadful. Mostly tasteless, and the clams were not minced well enough. They were too chunky and overcooked, so you end up with a bunch of rubbery balls in your mouth. Not nearly enough garlic and oil. Could've used more bread crumbs. I left some clams over; it just wasn't worth eating. Shrimp Cocktail: F Wow, seriously? The shrimp was obviously previously frozen and waaaaay overcooked. It was water-logged, overly dense, and completely tasteless. I took a bite, took a second bite to make sure I wasn't crazy, and promptly sent the rest back to the kitchen. The cocktail sauce was interesting -- a little more horseradish and less sweet than most shrimp cocktail sauce I've had in the past, which I DID actually like! But that shrimp... yikes! Tasteless and rubbery. Blech. Obviously previously frozen, and given how dense the shrimp was, I'm assuming over-thawed in a microwave. Burger: C I'm torn on this. The burger itself was nicely charbroiled on the outside. I ordered it medium rare, and it was, which is nice. But the patty itself didn't have much flavor. I'm not sure the meat was Angus, but worse, there was no seasoning. At all! No salt, no pepper, no garlic powder, no worcestershire sauce in the meat. The patty was very bland and had almost no flavor aside from the char. Too bad, because the patty was cooked well.

Great views, average food, drink and slow service. The Crab Bites were tasty, unfortunately the Lobster Roll was not. As you can see, you do receive a good portion of lobster; however, it lacks seasoning of any kind. It was just blah.

Yummy drinks and food and right on the bay! Service almost always super friendly!! Live music often! Bring a hoodie because it's often a bit windy and chilly.

This is tourist trap place! Beware of the fountain soda, its NOT refillable! Its a 8oz plastic cup with full of ice, so theres that. The only goodside is the location... views! Service by the staff is wonderfull though

    Fried flounder "platter" lol

My lady and spent the day on the Ocean City Boardwalk yesterday and so afterwards we were craving a cold beer and seafood with a view. After a quick search we found crappy jacks and so we went to the beautiful bayside eatery with high hopes. Known for their clams casino, we put in an order and then I was pretty hungry so I decided to go with the fried flounder platter. Growing up in America and having ordered "platters" before, I had high hopes for this $18 "platter." A platter sounds filling right? It sounds like an order would be a full size meal, so why expect any different from Crabby Jack? It was only after receiving my $18 flounder "platter" that I realized why Jack is so crabby. Poor guy is starving. It's hard to believe so I included a picture, but my flounder "platter" was one single small sized fried filet and an ice cream scoop of potato salad. All this for 18 bucks. Oh and it was plated beautifully on their finest backyard cookout paper plates. Was the paper plate a big deal? Not if it had an actual fish platter, but when it arrived I felt like I was late to the cookout and they just gave me what they had leftover. The amount of food they serve with the description of it being a "platter" was actually hilarious. I started looking for a hidden camera to see who was messing with me. No camera. No platter. Just a sad little paper plate of a little flounder filet and 4 oz of potato salad. Do not come hungry. You'll be pissed.

This time we came to see our friend playing music in the bar area. The bar was crowded for 4:00pm but we found a table which worked well for us. I went to the bar to get my wife and I some beers and the bartender served us right away. I asked if we could get menus for the table and she sent over our server. He was great. He took our order quickly and came back often to the table to see if we wanted anything else. When I read the menu before coming I knew I really wanted to try the tacos. Between my wife and I we got to try 4 types: - Tuna: This was delicious. One of the best tuna tacos I've ever had. They used a nice strip of good tuna meat and seared it with a nice spice blend. - Mahi Mahi (grilled), Mushroom, Shrimp (fried): all were very good The only reason for only four stars was the price for the tacos. Compared to other restaurants that sell tacos they run roughly a dollar more than most establishments. However the quality of the tuna in my opinion does justify the higher price.

Again the burgers and fries are good so I would stick with that or the Pizza or Mexican next time.

Here are the positives: 1. The menu: They have a very extensive drink menu, with plenty of cocktails, including margaritas, canned drinks, and other specialty drinks. I wish they would serve more mocktails, but that's just me. 2. The atmosphere: This is an excellent place to enjoy the bayside views and hear live music, and it's even on a sunny day. 3. The service: This location has plenty of staff on hand, but you may have to flag someone down if it's busy. The food and drinks here are very good and compliment the atmosphere very well. I will say there are a couple of downsides: Cover charge: If you want to come here on the weekend, be prepared to pay at the door. The cost to come here is $5 per person, and while that may be alright for those who are vacationing here, it can become quite costly for locals. I really wish places like this offered a seasonal pass then I'd be back much more often. One of the more negative experiences I had was using the bathroom. I did have an incident at the Somers Point location where I locked the bathroom door and a member of their staff walked in on me and, at one point, banged a broom against the window. I'm not sure if any of their locations have some type of bathroom policy, but it didn't seem quite professional and felt very awkward. If you plan on using the bathroom here, make sure the door if completely locked.
