I love crackle barrel and we come here often but honestly these past times have not been it. the last time we dined, all our food took forever to come out when we had just ordered grandma samplers. This time, literally today, we ordered 2 grandma samplers to go and they had forgot one of our coffees so I went in to ask for it but as I'm getting to the park now they forgot utensils, syrup, sugar for our coffee and the hash brown casserole ): what a waste of our time!!! We ate this evening, as a party of 6 and our waiter was Shaun. He was excellent. Kind, polite, he knew the menu well and asked specific questions about sides, refills, etc. Our food came quickly, it was hot and delicious. As a family, we had a stressful day, with one at our table being in the ER ALL day long, when the food arrived one of the men prayed over a tough day, Gods mercy and thanked Him for our dinner. So.... I remember cracker barrel restaurants as really good.... sadness. We ate there and it was marginal. Now, the appertif casserole hashbrown tots are good. The waiter forgot a few things like the table biscuits and no knife. We had too ask for both. Perhaps they were short-staffed? The steak tips, chicken and shrimp platter was ... sigh not good. The steak tips were very very red rare even though the menu says nothing less than medium is served. Shrimp was off. Fries chicken and shrimp might have been cooked in the same oil? I believe their breakfast meals may be better based on how the grandpa breakfast looked. Lastly, the floor was not clean featuring straw covers, bits of food...yikes. They're struggling right now. This was a 3.5 experience. They're closing at 8pm right now. We came last Thursday at 7:50 and were turned away. They told us you should arrive by 7:30. This time isn't updated everywhere on the internet. Bummer, but not the end of the world. 45 minute quoted wait at 6pm for a party of 3. They are keeping the tables spread out but may be having some staffing problems, too. Got the text our table was ready a few minutes early. Our waitress was very friendly and super-attentive. Unfortunately the kitchen was slow. It was 40 minutes from the time we ordered until the food arrived. There was a mix up on one of the items, but I take equal responsibility for the confusion. The lettuce in my salad wasn't too fresh but otherwise the food was good and as expected. If you go, know there will be a wait for your seat and for the kitchen. Shania saved this experience. The kitchen is disgusting. From a ex employee who quit for this reason. They don't clean up after them selfs. They just leave it that way until their shift ends. Idk if they clean it at all honestly. I was thinking about lunch today and realized that Cracker Barrel was nearby. I decided to stop in for lunch. As I arrived I noted the very large groups of people sitting on the "porch" that lines the front of the store. I walked inside thinking that as a single diner I might be able to get a table quickly. Horrible experience back in August. I reported and got a response immediately here to email the receipt and any other details and someone will get back to me soon. Well it's exactly 3 months later and absolutely nothing. That just makes me believe that it's just a standard auto reply with no one actually looking at them. Miserable experience :( I decided to treat myself to a nice breakfast and went to Cracker Barrel. I ordered and waited and waited and eventually burnt toast and a cold plate of eggs ham and hash browns was plopped on my table. I don't think I have EVER sent anything back in any restaurant ever. But this was so bad and so cold, I asked for them to redo it. Two minutes later, I received the same eggs ham and hash browns back, but the cook had reheated the eggs and ham a little bit. Awful! Wow! This has been the best CB we have visited on it journey! As frequent road trippers with our little second home, we seek out CB for over night parking and then breakfast the next day. I have to say, the parking lot was so clean! Plus there are meridians with grass for the dogs. As for the restaurant, they were busy at 9am on a Monday but we were sat immediately. Megan was our server and she was super sweet efficient and a great talker. She got our orders to us quickly and hot and refilled our coffees as soon as they were low. The food was excellent and fresh. We both ordered the eggs and steak tips with hash browns, plus fruit. Everything was perfect. The inside was super clean and organized and all the employees we saw were neatly groomed and happy. Deeeelicious! We just moved to the area and were in need of breakfast-- I won't be surprised if this becomes a frequent morning spot for us. Because of extra table spacing (COVID-19 precautions), there was a slight wait. We were quoted 15 minutes but it was less than that, and we enjoyed perusing the air conditioned gift shop in the meantime. I even found a couple gifts for my mom and brother and lots of the displays were on sale for 25-50% off! All the staff (greeter, hostess, server, and cashier) were all super friendly and pleasant. Our server Kristen was especially nice, coming to check on us many times throughout our meal. She even gave my partner coffee to-go before we left! Very sweet of her. We were highly pleased to take advantage of the $5 options for breakfast and my over-medium eggs were the perfect consistency. It was out to us quickly. Stopped to have breakfast here on the most recent experience and I'm not sure why I keep coming here. I guess I always have a soft spot in my belly for Cracker Barrels, the food at this location never measures up like the others though. It's a pain to get to this location, as it's wedged between HEB and Cabela's there is a lot of maneuvering to get here. Always seems like it's more work than it's worth. The service is also so so compared to other locations. I'm just bummed that this is one of the closer locations and the food and service doesn't compare to the rest. They all serve the same food, so cracker barrels chicken and dumplings always get me! The biscuits are also my favorite, but here the biscuits are either burnt or cold. Bummer on both sides of the equation. This past time I got the Southwestern Hash Breakfast and I'd say it was probably one of the worst breakfast I have had. The eggs were chunky and over cooked, the sausage was seasoned but terrible, and the potatoes were bland as can be and cold. It was hard to eat even though I was starving. The worst overall dining experience of my life. I've had better food (and quicker service) visiting my grandmother at her nursing home, and at least leave there feeling good about life. If you want to know what hell is like, just go to this Cracker Barrel. Let's start with the wait- we put our name on the list for a party of 3 at 9:45am ... we were told the wait was an hour. We sat down at our table at 11:15am... we were actually brought our food at 12:10pm. All said and done the entire experience from the time we put our name on the waitlist to the time we paid our bill was over 3 hours. Hot tip: if you want to experience hell for yourself, at least do it without the wait, and put yourself on the online wait list before you get there. Next let's talk cleanliness and sanitary eating conditions. The table next to us was full of trash, dirty dishes and old food the entire time we were sitting down to eat. Finally someone came to bus it the same time we were given our check. Not sure if someone got sick at that table or if something nasty was spilled, but it wreaked of puke and we could smell it the entire time we were seated at our table. Ok now the food... the whole reason we decided to wait over an hour for our table was not for a meal the equivalent of prison food. But that is what we got. When I was a kid, I remember eating at Cracker Barrel on every road trip we took bc it was consistently good, every location. The Stewart's Orange Creme Soda in the bottle. The hot fluffy biscuits. The awesome breakfast. The dumplings. It *WAS* so good, back in the day. Even ate at a Cracker Barrel in NM when I was pregnant in 2017... it was still good then. Not sure what happened, or if it's just this specific Cracker Barrel, but this is inedible, cold slop on a plate. The biscuits were cold and rock hard, and our angsty teen server was too cool to bring us butter or jelly. When I tried to order my son a Stewart's orange creme soda, our server looked at me like I had two heads and had no idea what I was asking for, but knew they didn't have it. She brought my husband who ordered an orange juice and a coffee, a sangria. When our food came out after waiting for it for 45 minutes, it was (shocker) ICE COLD, yet somehow also burnt. I ordered the Sunrise Sampler, and all three "breakfast meats" were hockey pucks. See evidence in photos below. The sausage took the cake for disgusting-ness, as it was charred and tooth-chipping hard on the outside, pink and raw and cold on the inside. The eggs were so rubbery, my 3 yo son couldn't chew them. The fried apples that I remembered being reminiscent of pie filling, were cold, mushy and clumpy. It was truly, literally inedible. And then the icing on the cake: the cashier station experience. Since we're already talking hockey after being fed hockey pucks for breakfast: Once you "hockey check" your way through the mass of shoulder-to shoulder humans crowding the gift shop, to the cash register, you will be forced to tip your server 43%, without being asked or given the option for tip amount. They will just charge your card and I guess hope you don't notice. We didn't notice bc we were so frazzled by the chaos, we didn't look at the bill until we made it to the safety of our car. So there you have it, folks... Cracker Barrel Hell, the worst dining experience of my life. You truly could not pay me to do that again. read more

Nice setting, comfortable atmosphere. Even fun shopping beforehand. Would have liked some healthy options, some diabetics or vegan choices for breakfast. (Even fruit or grilled veggies on the side). Maybe more than just black tea-green or peppermint teas.Even apple cider for Fall. I enjoy early lunches or dinner.
