I always enjoy a trip to Texas Roadhouse due to knowing the service will spot on top notch. Like they are actively trying which sadly feel rare these days. The food is always good consistent and a good value for what you get. During this visit I got an 8 oz. Dallas fillet with a loaded baked potato, salad with ranch and a grilled shrimp app. The shrimp, salad and steak were amazingly good. The steak had a nice crust on it and they nailed medium rare. The salad dressing was so thick and good. The baked potato was lacking on the loadedness. Usually the toppings are loaded on there and they mix well into the potato. But this one was dry and now that I think of it, might have not had butter on it. I ended up pouring some of the melted butter than way with the grilled shrimp onto the potato to make it less dry. The skin of the potato was salted really really well. I usually eat the entire baked potato but could not think time. Overall a good but not great visit due to the potato. Texas Roadhouse is usually a place I enjoy, so this visit was especially disappointing because it wasn't just one meal that missed the mark--it was nearly every entrée at our table. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived, seated quickly, and our server was friendly. I started with one of their weekday margarita specials (10 ounces for $5), which was delicious. As always, the rolls were great, and my salad was exactly what I expected. Unfortunately, the entrées were where the experience fell apart. I ordered a half slab of ribs with a loaded baked potato. The baked potato was very good, but the ribs were so dry that the bark was inedible. Once I pulled that away, the meat underneath tasted fine, but there wasn't much of it. My daughter ordered the pulled pork, and it looked unappetizing from the moment it arrived. After a couple of bites, she couldn't eat any more because it was so tough. My niece's chicken mushroom sandwich was also dry and lacked flavor, and my son--who normally loves hamburgers--didn't even finish a third of his burger. The only thing that made the experience more disappointing was that no one really asked how the meals were. Our server stopped by for quick check-ins with a thumbs-up before moving on, so there never seemed to be an opportunity to mention the food. He appeared to be busy with other tables, but when most of the entrées on a table go largely uneaten, it's hard not to hope someone will stop long enough to ask if everything is okay. We saw the manager when we first arrived, but not again during our meal. I've had many good experiences at Texas Roadhouse, which is why this visit stood out. Service was nice. The waitress Brooke was the only pleasing part about this experience. We were a party of 4 adults 2 kids and an infant. We were sat at a booth with a folding chair at the end of the table and mini high chair in the middle of the booth, any child who sits in that their feet would be on the table. I had to grab an actual high chair for my child. I left the folding chair and mini hair chair in the middle of the walkway. Manager and staff walked around it multiple times. The manager "Keyaira" stopped by a couple times and I brought up about the potatoes coated in salt, temperature and texture of the steak. I ordered medium rare, my friend next to me ordered medium. She said sorry and that's the way they cook them. Then proceeded to get distracted with my 9 month old. I left my steak untouched except the center cut I did to ensure proper cooking. Upon tabbing out we were also charged for a "premium something" unsure what that was about. Maybe touching the terminal on the table charges you for that. We wont be back to this location. I came here for the bread (the butter rolls) and it was "tip a cop" day, they were gathering funds for the special Olympics so there were tons of cops in the place, I felt super safe. I had the steak with veggies and it was delicious. I have to highlight my server, her name is Karbel or Kerbal, she was outstanding! This place is so fun! The atmosphere is bustling with people and great vibes. The entire staff is very welcoming and full of smiles. We had a little wait for our table of 6 and were able to order drinks at the bar and take them on the patio while waiting. All you can eat dry roasted peanuts. Once seated we were served their delicious yeast rolls with honey butter. I had to try to control myself from going overboard because they were so good! Our food came out quickly. I was surprised by the great quality steaks that they served for such a reasonable price. We were all happy with the doneness we ordered for our steaks. It's so nice having more restaurants join us in the Buda/kyle area. It had been so long since I had visited a Texas roadhouse and this visit reminded me why I like it so much. I was able to check in to "line" from my house and with an hour wait it was so much more convenient. We made our way down and still had a little bit of a wait there but it was Valentine's Day and it went by so quickly. The servers were super friendly, the food was was great, and they brought back the fun dancing. I hope the servers that join in don't mind it- it's a part of my childhood that I remember loving and it was nostalgic. 10/10 experience. Will be back! read more

I used to Love Texas Roadhouse in NC, but have not been to one here in a while. This was our first visit to the Kyle location. Me and my daughter decided to have an early dinner. We both had sirloin steak, daughter got shrimp, sweet potatoes, and green beans. I got the sirloin, mushrooms and onions, with the baked potato, and green beans. The rolls were delicious as usual. The potato was excellent, hot and creamy. The green beans were great. However, the steak was cold and tuff. I have had sirloin from here before and it was not this bad. Not that my table was ready. We sat in the waiting area for 23 minutes and not once was our name called or we got a text that our table was ready. Apparently that WAS the text to tell us our table was ready & they gave our table away. We were the only people (& our 2 toddlers) in the entire waiting area and they didnt say one word the entire time sitting there. When i asked the host, she agreed that the text was confusing but we have to wait even more. We checked in online 30 minutes before arriving and were seated just 20 minutes after walking in--not bad at all for such a busy night. Despite the crowd, the staff was super attentive, friendly, and kept the energy up. They even broke out into a line dance in the middle of the floor--it made the whole experience feel fun and lively. Now for the food: * Complimentary buns with cinnamon butter? Insanely good. * Blooming onion--crispy, flavorful, and perfect to share. * Ribeye and 6 oz sirloin + ribs combo--both cooked exactly right and full of flavor. * Loaded baked potato was on point, but the loaded sweet potato stole the show--topped with marshmallows and caramel, it was basically dessert disguised as a side. Today was the opening day of course the wait time was long. Restaurant was full. I joined the wait list. It was about 1.5 hours when I arrived in the restaurant I was able to check in and sit down. If management read this please use more than one check in station. You have an additional station with people around it, but everyone waits the one. It is a new restaurant you can see it. It is like any other Texas Roadhouse don't expect here to have a wagyu steak, but steak that is reasonably priced and very family friendly. Our waiter Zoey was really nice and thank you Maddy the service manager who checked on us. FYI managers wear blue shirts. Inside is great lot of space. It is bright and clean. To be honest happy to have more restaurants like this. Food is great based on the price you are paying. You get complimentary bread with cinnamon butter. It is dangerous for diet. It has a large selection of food steaks are given, but surprising number of fish and chicken entrees as well. I had the Bone in Ribeye 20 ounce $29.99. The price is great and you have two choices for sides. Mines are veggies and house salad with blue cheese. Overall great experience. Thanks for coming to Kyle/Buda Area and we need more. BEDAZZLING BIRTHDAY DINNER! Went to this location for the first time last week to celebrate my birthday with a dear friend. The parking lot was packed, so took that as a good sign we were in for an excellent dining experience. We went in, got seated right away and our server,Shayna was very personable and attentive. The manager, Emily, came to our table to check on us. She was a lot of fun and so caring. It's not often that management bothers to come and greet guests at their table. Truly appreciate Emily making us feel valued. My sirloin was cooked to perfection. Was treated to a strawberry cheesecake for desert to honor my birthday. My only complaint is how loud the music was and the line dancing by the servers every half hour was annoying and I think the volume of the music increased during that as well. Thursday night we had dinner here. We arrived around 6 pm and already the parking lot was full. We were seated quickly and our drink orders taken right away. Our food orders, it took a while for our waitress to arrive and take them. I ordered a14 oz ribeye with sweet potato with butter only, and a salad with ranch dressing. My salad came out right away and was crunchy, fresh and in a chilled plate. So far so good. It took quite a while for our entrees to come out . My medium rare steak was medium to medium well. . No one asked us to check for correct donenes, just dropped it off and moved on. My sweet potato tasted of cinnamon? Not bad but surprising. My steak, besides being over done, was pretty good but had a lot of gristle I did not eat. It is also VERY loud inside. The music made it very hard to have a conversation at our table. The staff also, at random times, goes out on the floor and does a dance with synchronized clapping adding to the volume inside. I would eat here again but hopefully we can be seated in the back away from the music or maybe I am just getting old l. LOL read more

DO NOT WORK HERE! i worked here for about 6 months, i went in for a second interview and was told i will make between 14-18 dollars an hour due to tip out. i made on average about 9 dollars an hour if i was LUCKY. my coworkers were amazing, all the lovely hosts there were great friends, but the management was a whole other story.... managers have favorites and if you weren't a favorite it was pretty obvious. they would only give shifts to people they liked, only schedule people they liked and only approve days off for people they FAVORITED. going to work and dreading it was not a pleasant experience. having to watch the managers you wanted to be friendly with talk shit and completely dislike you because you weren't on their "favorites" list. so to sum this up; if u like being talked shit about by adults, given dirty looks when you try to join conversations and work very few hours because you aren't a favorite then please work here this is the place for you! but if not stay far away... they will lie about pay, lie about hours and be unfair. read more

When you check-in with the host they tell you to wait by a number "on deck" and someone comes by to take you to your table. I love the fresh baked rolls with cinnamon butter and always prepare to carb load when I come here. We usually come for the early bird $11.99 dinner specials which are a great deal with a variety of options. I had the pork chop dinner with green beans and broccoli for the sides. The sides were prepared well, however this time my pork chop was overcooked. It had burnt charred grill marks and was very dry. I had a strawberry lemonade for my drink that was very refreshing. The server was attentive and the pace of the meal was good even though the restaurant was busy. I also enjoy the packaged peanuts that are available to snack on before the meal. THE GOOD: We were seated very quickly and water was at the table in a timely manner. The rolls with cinnamon butter were delicious! The line dancing was a fun little bit of entertainment. The brown gravy was and mushrooms were delicious, although it could have been better with a little less salt. THE BAD: My medium rare beef tips were very inconsistently cooked. Some were medium rare, some were medium, and some were overcooked. This was due to the fact that they were not cut into pieces of the same size. Additionally, I asked the waitress to make sure my vegetables were well cooked (not almost raw) and she promised to have the kitchen prepare them that way. When they arrived, the carrots were so raw that I couldn't even spear them with my fork. The food, service and atmosphere at this restaurant were great, it was our first time here. The portions are large and the food is tasty. But, here is the dinger. They have you pay through a Ziosk on the table, kinda like self check out at Walmart. That would all be fine and good except you can't see a copy of your charges before you pay, you can only get an email copy. When I got home, I checked the email copy and noticed that they charged an extra $1.99 for a Ziosk charge. So, you apparently pay an extra $1.99 for having the pleasure of using their Ziosk which I didn't really wanna do in the first place and I believe it's the only way you can pay (not sure how cash would work). So I went from what I was thinking was a good experience to one that I felt was deceptive and probably won't be returning anytime soon since we have so many new restaurants here in the Kyle area anyway. Our waitress was terrible! She had a bad attitude from the start with us for no reason. She ignored us so much that one of the managers came and asked if we had been served and since we had not she took our order. All three of us ordered steaks medium done. All three steaks came out blackened and dry well done. Sent them all back. In between waiting for our food to come out again. No one ask if we wanted anything in between. We could barely get our tea refilled and when we did it was sweet tea instead of unsweetened and I am a diabetic... finally food came back out and it was ok I do have to say the rolls were amazing and the sweet potato with the topping was fantastic. We did not get comped anything not even our blooming onion or drinks nothing not even an offer. Our waitress had ghosted us by the end and was not seen at our table again. If you're considering this location you're better off going to southpark meadows. They are not equipped to accommodate parties larger than 4 people. Upon checking in they told us it would be a 15 minute wait. That turned into 45 minutes. Each time we asked how much longer until we were seated we were told it's almost already. We would have been ok if they told us 45 minutes from the start. Setting realistic expectations isn't too difficult. After being seated the server spilled all the drinks on his tray dousing a member of our party. They also forgot to bring out her food. She was the last to be served and had to wait an additional 15 minutes meanwhile all the staff lined danced. The music is way too loud. We had to yell to speak to each other and our waitress. We asked if the music could be turned down and it only lasted until the start of the next song. I wouldn't have left a review but this is the second time almost an identical experience was had.
