Terrible experience. I have ate here with my girlfriend in the pass with positive experiences other than the wait. However this time just about everything that could go wrong went wrong. They were out of one of the meals we wanted at 5:30 which is understandable but we received attitude from our server when we wanted more time. Juan T our server, also was very inattentive and unhelpful. He did come back a decent amount but did not ask what we would like for cornbread and biscuits and didn't bring it out until we also got our food. He also asked if we needed anything but did not offer more water or boxes. One of our sides was incorrect and they blamed it on having a new chef. Our broccoli looked off and there was something else in the bowl with it. Once they finally brought out the other side the bacon in the bacon Mac and cheese was undercooked and the macaroni was overcooked. The bottom of one of our biscuits also did not look clean but it may have been due to the way it was cooked. The overall energy in the good with other servers looked attentive and helpful. Our service was terrible. The hostess said we had to wait about 35 minutes to be seated (even thought 3/4 of the restaurant was empty.) Once we ordered, we waited over an hour to get our food. Our server never came to refill our drinks. The meatloaf we ordered was good. However, some of the Mac and cheese looked like it had been sitting for a while before they brought it out to us. All of our food in general was warm but definitely not hot. The men's bathroom was disgusting. We also saw other customers yelling at the manager because their food didn't come out in time and they just had to take it home with them. Cracker Barrel is known for serving simple, comfort food in a family-friendly setting. When we arrived, we needed to wait for a table, which didn't make sense because they seemed to have plenty of tables open. (However, the wait wasn't too long.) I ordered a combo that consisted of two proteins and two sides. I went with the breaded chicken breast and meatloaf. I chose the hash brown casserole and green beans for my sides. My sister ordered pot roast with the sides of her choice. The food arrived at a good temperature, but I noticed that the sides cooled down quickly. There were some inedible pieces in my green beans -- probably stems -- but the hash brown casserole was tasty. Both the chicken and meatloaf tasted good. Portions were generous, and we both had leftovers. Our interactions with waitstaff were minimal, but adequate. Overall, I wouldn't have a problem going back again. read more

We spilled a drink at the table and asked the server (Alexis) for a different section if we could get a towel and napkins to clean it up. She said yeah sure and never brought anything but then went to take orders for THREE other tables that were sat down after she was asked for clean up assistance. She has as of typing this looked directly into my eyes three different times and not once came to assist. Our server (Serenity) was helping someone with a bill issue and then she came to help us and got everything squared away. Yet the hostess kept seating more and more people in only her section like others weren't empty. I hadn't been back here in a long time and well this is settling it that I won't be back again. I could have probably chased down my meal, field dressed it, smoked it, and then prepared a nice home made sauce for it before our meal was partially ready.. This is an offense to the Cracker Barrel name. I've been to many down south and was craving a good breakfast while visiting family near Germantown. Our waitress was completely incompetent, not giving us even a moment to review the menu before trying to get our order, and when we had questions she didn't seem to know what the store offered. When we got our food, my boyfriend's eggs were visibly raw and it took us 15 minutes to get our waitress to pay attention to us. After flagging her down multiple times she came over and had them remade with no offer to comp even though I was done with my meal and he had finished everything else. The grits we got were nasty, slimy, and flavorless, and we had no salt or pepper on our table. My husband and I just had the WORST service we have ever had! We are visiting from California and the server we had had wildly colored hair and as she took our order she was giggling like a school girl and we waited 30 minutes and it was not until I stopped her and asked where our food was and then we had our food in less than a minute. was there for breakfast with my wife a week ago yesterday. We just relocated in Menomonee Falls, W. and live 2.2 miles away. We both love CB's and have been to many others throughout the country. My wife has been to this CB a few times and said the food was excellent. Well on this visit the food was brutal. We both ordered the pancakes with scrambled eggs and bacon. The pancakes came to us cold and were rock hard. The manager responded quickly and got us each a fresh plate but left the eggs and bacon. So we ate them and then the pancakes after we had finished the eggs and bacon. We both were very disappointed. That being said, we both will give it another try as I said we love CB. read more

It seemed like they were severely understaffed, 2 people to seat and serve the whole restaurant. I felt stressed out for them! I placed an order for curbside delivery, and I received a test with a link to let the store know I had arrived, which I did. After waiting more than 15 minutes, I finally went into the store to retrieve my order with the only explanation given for the delay being "apparently no one was paying attention in the back". Needless to say, my food was very cold when I got back home. Although in general, I like the food when I have visited Cracker Barrel to dine in, this experience with ordering take-out has left me very disappointed with the service, and I must rethink my desire to patronize the store in the future. read more

I've had problems with this place for at least a couple of years now. I always get carry out. Calling in to place an order is a nightmare. We are leaving from a place a half hour away--heading home. Cracker Barrel is on the way home. So I call before we start driving away. Sometimes it takes 20 minutes to get the food ordered!! Then, I get there and about 50% of the time my order is wrong. So I started unpacking the entire order at the counter and checking it all. That helped. Cause this place is about 25 minutes from home--no going back if you got the wrong order or didn't get all your stuff. Well, this time, today, same problem with ordering, but I got the order placed and they told me it would be ready in 10 minutes. We got there about 12-15 min later. First, I had to check if my order was ready or not--and there were about 12 people in line. I asked at the hostess desk. They weren't allowed to check--only the ONE cashier was allowed to check for orders. But they went and looked anyway. The one order waiting was not mine. Different name and different food. Ok. After waiting about 25 minutes in the store--I finally begged a server to go back in the kitchen and check. She said she wasn't allowed to do that. But she did anyway. They told her TWICE that it was already up front. All that was there was that other order. Well, she finally opened the bag and looked in the containers and it was MY order! She asked me all the stuff I got and she checked off each item. They had put the wrong receipt on it. So I waited over a half hour for food that was already there. Now it was ice cold. Then, I get home, starving cause I'd been outside all day, with no food and it was late afternoon. I get the food out and wha????? I ordered chicken fried chicken with Sawmill Gravy and mashed potatoes with sawmill gravy. No gravy--on anything. No containers of gravy--NO GRAVY! Dry chicken, and dry mashed potatoes. Not even butter on them! The mashed potatoes were like rubber cement. Hard, cold and like dried glue! Awful. Even with a 1/4 of a stick of butter and cheese on them, they wouldn't moisten of soften. I called to report this and ask for a refund. I explained the whole thing, he took the receipt order number, my name, all of it. I get a call from the General Manager and the only message was "call this person". Seriously??? So described the whole thing again. All he could offer me was a gift card in the mail--for more crappy food! He is sending me a gift card for 2 meals, but I will probably gift it to someone since I don't even want to give this place my business again. I am sick of two years of bad service, rude service, slow service and wrong orders. I don't know how this location stays in business. read more

My 3y old like this store so we came here for a date night to get some French toast and breakfast. She got a side of French toast since they don't have it on the kids menu, it was pretty good. I got the old timers breakfast and the eggs were cooked well and biscuit was good but the loaded hash browns tasted like they were made during actual breakfast hours and sat under a heat lamp until I ordered them at 6p. Bacon could have been mistaken for dried bark, thin and crispy but dry and was it even bacon or cardboard? Service was slow, but very friendly, but the food came out super fast. It probably took 10 minutes to take our order, after being seated until the waitress came, the food came out in like 5 but didn't have any place settings given to us so had to wait for those...but I'm sure I'll be back, the kids like the store. read more

Today is July 16th 2023 it's a Sunday but it was around noon ish they seat us at a table that was barely clean. He still had the basket with a tip in it from the last customer, the waiter, took our drinks order. And answered our questions about customizing our order really good, but that was it far as her service we went to when we got our food. We were told there was a 30 minute wait despite there being no one else waiting and heaps of empty tables. We waited. Went to get seated and the way they found our table was by looking for literally the only clean and bussed table in the whole place. Sat down for maybe 2 minutes, heard people around us all complaining to eat other about it taking forever, and decided to leave - gave the freebie to a table that seemed the most unhappy and left. The table was adhesive sticky, the menus were deeply soiled, and well...nothing has improved. If anything this place got worse! WORSE! Dinner on a cold night with temperatures below zero turned out as a very cozy one at Cracker Barrel. I have good memories of this place, and coming back after fifteen years (true story!) was not disappointing.
