This was my first time in a long time visiting a Cracker Barrel and it was a pleasant visit. The staff were extremely nice even though the place was packed. I added my name to the wait list 13 minutes before I arrived and the time I was given was 20-25 minutes. Once I got there I was told it would be another 20-25 and would be notified by text when my seat is ready. 40 minutes passed, no text nor no name call over the PA system. I went to the host station to inquire was told a text went out. I showed them I didn't get a text, but was seated immediately. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even though I waited longer than expected, it wasn't bad because I looked around the store at all the nostalgia items they have to purchase from toys to candy and etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now to the food, the pancakes were not what I was expecting. They were too soggy/buttery. The edges were crispy, but the center just didn't do it for me. They could've been cooked a little longer. The watermelon mimosas and turkey sausage were perfect. I requested egg whites only, but was told they couldn't do it but my receipt shows I paid for eggs with egg whites included. The grits were extremely bland. I don't know what training issues they have going on currently but the service is terrible. I was seated well within Cracker Barrel's standards and my waitress took my order like normal. She brought out the biscuits but forgot my drink. I waited 17 minutes and didn't see her come back out. She stood at the food station watching the cooks and playing with her hair. I hadn't been here for a while. The menu is new and things are done a bit differently. There were just three of us. We were seated immediately at a six-person table. Our server Brandon was good. I got the Old Timer's. The egg was good. The hashbrown casserole was delicious. I asked for sausage. I was given bacon. Meh. I didn't eat the bacon. Both my meal and a tablemate's meal came with biscuits and gravy. So, it was served family style?? That's new. I don't like it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were not seated next to each other. Terrible service, manager not aware of his customers. I was told I would be attended for a to go order and 30 min passed by then they finally decided to come tell me it would be an hour and 45 min wait. Keep in my mind they could have told me this information since the beginning but decided to tell me 30 min after my wait. A waiter saw me standing there for 30 min and decided to come help and the manager proceeded to get on to her because she's trying to attend a customer instead of doing his job and assisting clients. Good night from the Cracker Barrel. Yes, Cracker Barrel tolerates RVers using their parking lot for an overnight stay. The intention is that you would please purchase a meal in return for their kindness but it's not a requirement. This evening, I'd already had dinner and then I departed well before they opened so there wasn't an opportunity on this visit. Inside, the country store was clean and well stocked with merchandise. Always the local sports team sweatshirts and such. Board games and clothing and seasonal decor items. I picked up some "old fashioned" candy to bring home. Cracker Barrel for me is consistently good and my grandson absolutely loves coming here for the toys! Cracker barrel's pancakes are my grandson's favorite and he enjoys picking out a toy after his meal. I don't think I have ever had a bad meal or experience eating at a Cracker Barrel. read more

Encountered a hostess on arrival who was clearly in over her head mentally. AFTER we'd waited an hour for a table she told us that the delay was due to short staffing - information I should have been given on arrival. Both of us were served the wrong meal after pointing to the item on the menu. Instead of informing me that my sides were not available at the time I ordered, I was I informed as the wrong meal was being served. No bread offered. Gravy was COLD. We went on a busy Sunday morning. We joined the wait list in advance. They must be short-staffed because there were tons of empty tables, but over an hour wait. There were multiple "manager" type people standing around and not serving any of these empty tables. I felt bad for the 2-3 servers that were running around. As always, we had a great visit. Even with the place busy and the table next to us was getting irritated and rude with the waitress, she handled it very well and we had no problems with her service. Came in pretty early (@8AM) on a Sunday morning for some breakfast. I haven't been here in a while so the menu was new from last time I had seen it. They have a new Biscuit Benedict that was good. What I like about Cracker Barrel is consistency. You can count on a good meal promptly served with all the fix'ens at a fair price. This location was no different. The food was good and the staff was friendly. What was different is the lattice was nice and clean! At many locations this is not the case. I'm not really sure why we ever come here. It's been like two years since we came because our last experience at this one was so bad, we do actually like Cracker Barrel so gave it another try. Big mistake. We expected a long wait to be seated because that seems the norm at all Cracker Barrel's, and we were quoted 40 minutes, then did wait about an hour. Once seated we ordered drinks and food at the same time to expedite the process. Our drinks came promptly but we waited another hour for our food, which only came after we asked about it twice, realizing tables seated after us were already receiving theirs. They did eventually bring it, but not the side type items like fried eggs, bacon, and biscuits initially. They came out a few minutes later. The kids pancakes were pretty burnt (see pictures) which really doesn't work for kids, and then halfway into my cheesecake pancakes, I found what appeared to be a piece of parchment paper in my food (also pictured). They offered to remake the cheesecake ones, which I obviously declined not wanting to eat anything from their kitchen and they did comp our whole meal due to the terrible experience. read more

Waited an hour for our food, had to get a cashier to "find" it. They said there was a glitch with their system and the ticket was lost, but the food was completely cold when it got to us, and several of the seven orders were incorrect. Waitress disappeared right after taking our order, and didn't do drink refills, appetizers, etc. saw another party leave because no one saw to them after they were seated. Nasty. The ladies bathroom smells putrid. The odor of urine is so strong my appetite was almost remains, and I would've left except my daughter really wanted to eat here. Seating was just fine, but the entire place is filthy the blinds are dirty with crayon markings all over them. The walls look like food has been spilled all over it and dust is caked everywhere. The floors are sticky. Our waitress was precious, but I definitely won't be going here again. Had a good Sunday morning breakfast with one of my beasties. Sherrell was our server and she was definitely on point. From the time we arrived until we left she was very attentive and present. The food was yummy but the coffee was a bit weak. Not anything that was earth shattering but it could have been stronger. I had turkey sausage and a biscuit and regular hash browns. My friend had pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs and hash brown casserole (has cheese in it). The biscuit was little and fluffy. The hash brown was crispy on the outside and nice and soft inside. Cracker Barrel is some timey! One month the food is good and the next it isn't. I visited maybe 2 weeks ago and this time the food was good. My greens were perfect. I enjoy playing the little game with my son that they have at the tables. Even though it's almost always packed the get you in and out. I've never experienced bad customer service the times I've gone. Only suggestion is to be consistent on the taste of food. You can tell when the good chefs aren't working for the day. Since I was without power this morning and by 1:30pm it hasn't been restored and I missed having my morning coffee, I decided to treat myself to a wonderful home cooked meal and a nice hot cup of coffee and be warm at the same time. Evan (pronounced Yvonne) was my waitress. I had her before and she is excellent so I was excited to have her today since I did need the extra pampering. The meal did not disappoint. I got the special that the hostess was so gracious to recommend and knowing I love sweet potato casserole it wasn't a hard sell. Everything was hot, delicious and came out on time. The service was excellent. I could not have asked for a better evening. We had breakfast here the day before we headed home. They were very busy, but that didn't affect the wonderful service we received from our server, Nancy! She was amazing, and made sure we had EVERYTHING we could possibly want. Besides wonderful service, the food was awesome! I had the Egg sandwich, with fried egg, ham, cheese, tomato & mayo.
