I usually really like this place but that just wasn't hitting for me. It's a low key and clean place as usual. The service is not an issue. Just a casual order and bring your food to the table type of spot. The seafood sauce is pretty good. It has a distinct sweetness to it which I enjoy. Problem was my food wasn't piping hot and the shrimp seems overcooked or old maybe. The texture was more chewy. Out of all the times I've been here this is the first time I felt meh. I'll have to give it a few months before I try again. Seafood is too expensive to chance being dissatisfied any time soon! read more

First time here and will definitely be back. The food was hot and delicious. Some of the best tasting fried okra I've eaten in a long time. I'm really picky when it comes to good authentic food from certain areas as with seafood. It has to be fresh and cooked well. Louisiana is known for authentic Cajun cuisine but sometimes you can find a place that can make it the same as if you were there or close to it. The food I tasted was as close to fresh fish as you could get. The atmosphere was good and the service was excellent. Loved the conversation and humor of the management and staff. The man packing the order was so nice (he wore glasses in case he reads this). Yet his friendly and helpful demeanor can't save the taste of the food. The only thing I liked were the grilled oysters. The shrimp fried rice was greasy just like a previous person said. Hate i didn't listen and avoided buying it. The chicken gizzards were mushy like they were not cooked all the way. For my 1st experience the people were nice, but the food was horrible. It tastes like it was over cooked in old oil and for the price for a plate and to not get full, unacceptable. Not to mention they made one of the orders with the wrong side. The Mac and cheese is like it sits in water. Their food and services is exceptional the place is great and clean, there's a lot of Cajun places in horn lake but this one is the one, you haven't had Cajun food if you haven't had Crazy Lu. My family and I love their food and the fact that they have a drive thru is so convenient, we often have this on the weekends, I can't recommend them enough! Food was just okay. Nothing special. I ordered the grilled salmon. It was cooked to long so it was kinda tough. The mixed vegetables were basically ALL broccoli with limited mixture of anything else. Coleslaw was delicious. Hush puppies were small and over cooked. I guess the steamed bags are better choices if visiting this restaurant because the salmon is NOT what to get. Restaurant was very clean, and the crew constantly was cleaning. I just wish the food was as good. Monday night is football. However, only 1 tv was on and it was rap videos and not the game. In went tonight for the first time. I ordered seafood bag #1 in garlic butter. What I received was the spiciest thing I've ever attempted to eat. The manager argued with me that natural garlic is spicy. I eat loads of garlic in all my food and I've never had it burn and blister my lips like this seasoning did. While we were sitting there a lady came up complaining because she ordered garlic butter mixed with super spicy and hers wasn't spicy at all. Obviously they mixed up our orders but couldn't own up to it. My sauce was orange, which obviously isn't garlic butter.
