Went here with my partner on a Friday morning. It was pretty busy but we were seated in a reasonable amount of time. Chelsea our server was super attentive and made sure we had our coffees refreshed and our bellies full. I got the "grandmas sampler" while my gf got the campfire breakfast skillet. My family placed an order to go yesterday (June 28). First the family one by one add our orders to the website for online orders. Once completing our orders, the system said they are not taking online orders between 11:45 am and midnight. The system must have been down. I then called and placed our to go order by phone. My husband listened to every word I said and our order was complete. The woman on the phone said 25-30 minutes. It ended up being 45 minutes. When my husband got home they had forgotten my broccoli and my son's biscuits and gravy. Very disappointing. The food was good but missing those items. I will try somewhere else next time. read more

Headed to the local Cracker Barrel to eat with ladies from work for brunch. We all got some version of the grandmas/mom's breakfast special. We stopped in on Saturday evening and had one of the best servers I've encountered in years! Allye was the sweetest! She navigated us through the new menu- which had deleted my favorite meal in their reboot - and managed to get me the country ham dinner by adding it as side to the veggie plate. I usually only go there for that dinner and her inventive approach saved me from going elsewhere. She was funny and had a bubbly personality, very attentive without being intrusive. Haven't been there in a while and wasn't happy that they had axed a lot of favorites from the menu, but since we can recreate the meal, thanks to Allye, we'll be back! You'd be lucky to have this sweet young woman as a server and she was as cheerful and attentive to her other tables as she was to us. I wanted to make sure the manager knew what a nice experience we had because of her, and that they kept us as customers, but they never showed when we asked to speak to them. So, nice job, Allye! Update: I have been contacted by corporate, however there was not a resolution about the assistant manager and his lack of customer service skills. I am not eager to return as long as I'm aware that Curtis is still there and unwilling to assist customers. Horrible to-go service! I waited more than 45 minutes and left with no food. Assistance manager Curtis can't fix a register mistake or figure out how to simply handle a customer service issue. We ordered $45 worth of food and instead an associate tried to ring up over $90 worth of food. I've been visiting this Cracker Barrel for years and I'm extremely disappointed. read more

Ordered my stuff on line when showed up I checked my food and an item was missing which was country ham. It took about 20 minutes to get my ham and of course by the time we got home to eat our food was cold. The last two times I have ordered to go I have had problems and hat to wait for ever. I've been coming to this location since it opened. Always good, until the last 2-3 years. We keep going back every few months to see if it's doing better, but it's not. Service was somewhat better this time. Looked like they had more servers. I actually saw a manager for a few seconds. Food is no longer tastes like real country cooking. It literally tastes like a TV dinner. No real cooking talent required. Used to love the pot roast , potatoes and gravy, fried okra, catfish ,green beans and turkey and dressing. It's no longer good. Had breakfast there a few nights ago, thinking they couldn't mess up breakfast. Ordered eggs over medium... they were well done. Pancakes were no longer fluffy, but flat and too sweet. They looked like they were premade and heated up. Ordered bacon crisp. I would have hated to see it if I hadn't ordered it crisp. Went here a few days ago and order the deep fried chicken, dumplings, greens, cornbread. The Che was great, the dumplings were cold, the cornbread was not hot, and it was hard like the just had leftover from the other day. I didn't get any condiments with my order. And this is the first time this has happened to me and I come to the location a lot, and I left a tip. Now this first bad experience has me thinking if I should go back again. read more

We live nearby and have eaten here a number of times since in general, we like Cracker Barrel. However, this location typically has terrible service. It is Chronically understaffed. It pains me to write this review because I've been a Cracker Barrel fan my entire life. We arrived and waited about 15 minutes to be seated. Not a big deal and the host was extremely pleasant and friendly. After being seated, it was another 15-20 minutes before a waiter (Jesse) stopped by and asked if anyone had helped us yet. He then proceeded to take our order. A few minutes later he brought us a basketful of burned, crispy biscuits and butter (no silverware or napkins). I asked the manager to replace the biscuits, which she said she would do, and she did, 35 minutes later after 4 other tables got baskets of biscuits. She even brought jam! No silverware though, so I was left having to squeeze the jam from the little plastic cups onto the biscuits for the kids. After an hour, our food arrived by a different server who said she was going to try to help out since Jesse was new. My son's was wrong, having the incorrect side. Mine, the eggs were overcooked (supposed to be over easy, but the yolk was cooked mostly through), the eggs, sausage and hashbrown casserole were cold and the pancakes were covered in strawberries that I had asked not be served with them. I sent the pancakes back with a request for silverware and Tabasco and they returned quickly, cold, but at least without the strawberries. We finally got silverware! No napkins though, they didn't bring those until after we finished our meals. I waited another 10 minutes before the waitress came by and I requested my Tabasco again so I could eat my cold, overcooked meal. I also sent back the pancakes. Again. The waitress apologized, said she was taking my meal off the check and returned the pancakes to the kitchen and brought me the Tabasco. While waiting for my pancakes, Jesse brought the check. With the meal on it that they were going to remove. I still hadn't even got the full meal prepared correctly yet but they were handing me a check for it. When my pancakes did arrive, after everyone was done eating, they were hot and tasty and made correctly, as they should have been 30-40 minutes earlier. I never got the syrup I had asked for with them, but at this point, I just wanted to eat them and leave. We had to ask the manager about the meal on the check, which she did remove, as well as the kids' drinks as well. The table next to us (also being served by Jesse) was having issues with their meals and the service. The tables near us being served by others didn't seem to have any issues or complaints and their food was served much quicker than ours or Jesse's other table next to us. When we paid at the counter in the store, we were asked how things were. I told them. They asked who our server was and I said it was Jesse. They nodded and said "ah, yeah, Jesse". read more

Mashed potatoes cold, okra cold. The ladies next to us sent their bread plates back because they were dirty. What a mistake to go there today. Cracker Barrel. The place everyone knows. Now, this restaurant has good things, and this restaurant has bad things. The interior of this joint is rustic and the service is average, but the food looks really good! The biscuits are amazing and the pancakes are better than IHOP. The hash browns aren't the best, but I'm not a huge fan of hash browns in general. The pork chop tastes really good around the edges and is just amazing. The reason why I am rating this 3 stars is because the grapefruit juice I got was really sour and nothing like I expected. All in all. Good place. read more

Spent nearly two hours for marginally warm food and tons of excuses. Came in with a party of six which consisted of a four year old and a 12 month old, and immediately met with warm smiles and friendly greetings from the host staff and our waitress. However, our evening took a sour note when we asked our waitress about our food. She claimed they were shorthanded and disagreements with cooking staff. We requested the children's food be brought ahead of the adults as both the four year old and 12 month old were growing tired and super hungry. Our waitress stated the children's food was still being cooked and she would bring it out as soon as it was ready. Overall, the waitress was clearly trying to do her best given she had been working since 9am. This particular Cracker Barrel has been a hit-or-miss when it came to eating out especially at night. read more

We had a party of six I ordered the grandmas breakfast and my grandchildren got the children's menu, pancakes and sausage. My daughter she ordered the catfish fillets and my son got the big boy breakfast. Our waitress was very nice and attentive but the food is just not the same! I don't know what has happened but every Cracker Barrel we've gone to the last few times has been many issues first of all burnt sausages, burnt pancakes. How do you burn pancakes? Also, forgotten items corn bread, biscuits, and also to come back and just check and see if we need more water or just see how we are doing. We are finished with Cracker Barrel. Service was ok but waitress kept coming back saying they were out of things.... She put scrambled eggs on a child plate even though I asked to NOT have egg! They evidently ran out of fried apples between 2 kid plates and didn't even say so! Waitress came back and said they were out of carrots so I ordered pinto beans and turnip greens.... She brought turnip greens and said they were out of pinto beans.... Food took FOREVER to get to the table! This is my last time to go to Cracker Barrel. Wow. This rating is totally the management's fault at this restaurant. They sent a brand new waitress onto the floor without training. Here we go: hostess asked whether the third dining room would be OK- I had never been so how would I know? Hostess said she would come back with breakfast menu. Got a knife and fork, no spoon, no napkin. Waitress couldn't explain pick two choices. Out of cole slaw. Asked if I could sub the small lunch salad for a side. Answer was yes. Asked for thousand island, she said OK. Brought out a large salad for which I knew there would be an up charge. Brought my entree at the same time but no dressing she said they didn't have thousand. She thought they only had vinegar or pickled ranch. I asked her to check. She comes back with brocolli stapled in a to-go bag. Huh? She said that's what the cook gave her and she didn't think it was right. I asked for a plate with brocolli on it. The cornbread arrived late, and she forgot the honey. She never came back with dressing choices. My husband asked again for butter and jelly for his toast. Love the gift shops...I like the food but I love the Gift Shop more...lol!!! Especially at Christmas time. I buy all of my ornaments from Cracker Barrel for my tree and decorating needs. We stopped to get breakfast off I-40 on exit 20 in Lakeland, TN about 20 miles from Memphis. Tony ordered milk and coffee along with biscuits and gravy with his favorite Hashbrown Casserole..He loves this and orders whenever we stop here (which is not that often). Noel ordered Sausage with biscuits and gravy with side of fried apples along with iced tea. I ordered scrambled egg with a piece of sausage and grits. I love to add butter and sugar to my grits. It was very filling and very good. The ticket was only $18 with taxes plus tip. I ordered unsweetened tea with lemon (as usual). Our waitress was very nice.
