well we met family for beeakfast here before heading down to Orlando. Pretty quiet there for a cracker barrel. We got sat down right away, took a few mins for the server to come over and ask about drinks. We ordered our food , it came out in a reasonable time. But few things needed to be corrected. They forgot my hasbrowns , wrong bread for one of the orders, by the time they brought it out the burger was cold. no ketchup. never refilled my coffee, refilled the ladies coffee once..The server bragged about her tenure and being a 4 star, clearly wasn't 4 star during our visit. probably would not stop here with some of the other Cracker Barrels in town. read more

Very few customers on a Monday evening so timing was good but staff were way to mechanical. No one asked how the food was or if everything was okay. We were s party of five. There were two display cards on the table that said "$5 Soup and Salad combo -- Add a cup of soup and a side salad to any lunch or dinner entree purchase." This sounded good so I ordered meatloaf (my standard at Cracker Barrel) with just two sides since I also ordered the Combo mentioned. When the meal came I got the soup but no salad. I mentioned my salad and was sternly told it was soup or salad not both. I was somewhat caught by surprise and thought maybe I misread the display cards, which the server had taken and laid face down on the table. But checking the cards it clearly indicated soup and salad with a lunch or dinner entree purchase. I chose not to make an issue and enjoy my meatloaf. The servings were adequate and tasteful but everything was only lukewarm and the meatloaf was on the rare side compared to normal. I was hoping a manager might stop by as we were at the first table upon entering and next to the kitchen access door, but that was wishful thinking. Never asked if everything was okay. Sad to say but I cannot imagine going there again. Oh, and the strange part, on the bill it had $2.09 for the soup. read more

This was our worst experience ever at a Cracker Barrel!!! Our waitress was overwhelmed and said that she had an 11 top seated just before us. We asked if we could get our order in before the 11 top because we were ready to order. Took our order. We ended up asking for another waitress, because we seen how overwhelmed she was. The manger ended up speaking with us and said our order was in and that she would take care of us if no one else did. We never seen her after that. We waited & waited & waited...... I needed a coffee refill & not a single person came by to check on us. We were sitting for an hour waiting. So we walked out. I would rate this experience as ZERO STARS!! But I had to click one star to be able to post this. read more

Went this afternoon and the it was great. The food was delicious and served quickly . Our server was Mel and she was fantastic. Cracker Barrell's goal is to be consistently good, so that folks traveling can confidently go to any location and get very similar results. Unfortunately, that is not always the case. We love the Friday night fish fry they have, and took some friends to a location closer to them for convenience. We were sad to find that not all locations give you the same results. We all ordered the fish fry, on our recommendation. This was at the SR 200 location near I-75 in Ocala, FL - this is supposedly the busiest location in Florida. The fish was not fillets, but chunks -more breading than fish. A runner brought our biscuits and corn muffins, which were badly burned. Also told they don't offer coleslaw because they make a 75lb vat that spoils before they sell it all. Overall was a very poor experience. Fast forward to last Friday 5/30 - we went to our local CB on 484 and 475 in Ocala. Guess what? They serve coleslaw and the fish fillets - cod - were delicious. Our biscuits were not burned either. I have to write about a wonderful dining experience at this Cracker Barrel location. I recently wrote this chain off because of the previous very poor service and lack of menu entres at other locations along the East Coast. The service was excellent with Courtney C as our server. She treated us like valued customers and met every need we had during our dinner. She brought out extra condiments and was very kind while she did this. She also checked on us several times to be sure we were taken care of. I believe she needs her 5th star!! The food was plentiful and delicious. We ended up bringing home our uneaten food. We had the server Kevin and he was nothing but exceptional, the best waiter I've ever had. We usually have great service, Sunday we did not at this Cracker Barrel. The parking lot was not crowded so we were surprised when told it would be a 20 minute wait. The waitress came to get our drink order already flustered because she just spilled a drink on a customer. Then she took our drink order, brings me an unsweet tea instead of a half and half what I ordered and gave my son in law a coffee with lipstick on the rim. Yuck! My 3 year granddaughter was with us and we ordered a mac n cheese and asked if that could be brought out before ours, (we have had it done before with no qualms) the waitress said whenever it was on the tray with all our food she would bring it out! It took 45 minutes to get our food!. Every time the waitress would come by she had to vent about something, it was awkward. We had to ask for refills while she vented! She even said the managers were stepping in for kitchen help. There must have been at least 4 to go orders while we were waiting for our food. We were very disappointed with the service! When we paid our bill we told the cashier how disappointed we were, she said, because of accidents on 75 some staff were late getting into work. Maybe a manager should have been telling customers that, and that food orders would be slow. But, there is no excuse with the service or lack of, we received. I bought many items using discounts but a woman named Lori didn't ring them in properly, and ultimately when I looked at my receipt at home was charged more than I should have been. Down home cooking with excellent service. The food was delicious, & prepared to perfection. I had lemon trout, exceptional Cole slaw, fried apples & hush puppies. I love the decor with the ole country store antiques & the most fun gift shop after I had my meal. Unique gifts & excellent customer service. Our server Grace, took my plate from me before I was done with my breakfast. She tried to take my wife's plate twice as well. I would recommend letting people finish their meal before removing their plate. We also didn't get knives with our silverware and gravy with my wife's biscuits, just butter. When traffic on I75 has you delayed, popping off the interstate for a late lunch can make the delay bearable. My server started my visit informing me they were out of straws for the drinks, which doesn't bother me because I try not to use plastic straws. He told me how some customers have been very upset about it and joked how people can be appalled to put their lips on the glass that their drink is in. Laughing right off the bat made me very happy I stopped. I ordered the roast beef with potatoes, gravy and corn with both biscuit and cornbread. Food was out super fast! And just how it should be, fork cut roast, good gravy and potatoes. Overall visit was great! read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but I had to shout out Courtney Wood at this Cracker Barrel. From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and just on top of everything. Drinks were refilled without asking, food came out just the way we ordered it, and she checked in the perfect amount helpful but never intrusive. It's rare to get that level of service these days, and honestly, Courtney is the reason I'll be coming back to this specific location. This particular Cracker Barrel is very convenient to interstate 75. While I prefer independent mom-and-pop businesses, this stop provided a quick place to grab breakfast and be back on the road to be in Tallahassee, Florida for a noon meeting. I know Cracker Barrel is a beloved Institution and I enjoy walking to the little general store part of the business, however, I always felt the food was a bit lacking. I will say at their breakfast is not bad that my go-to is there chicken fried steak with eggs. Service was good great place to grab a quick breakfast and be back on the road. As I said, Cracker Barrel is a beloved Institution and most of my family from the north love stopping in there if they are driving down here to Florida I guess I just never bought into this dick about being true country but I have a feeling that their corporate board is much like in New York City mindset. This place allows pets at your table. I am not talking about legitimate service dogs, I am talking about dogs standing at and eating from the table. The store manager that I spoke with is ok with pets at the table even though the local county health department forbids this. Eat somewhere else that is concerned about a sanitary eating experience and that follows health department guidelines. read more

I've been to several different Cracker Barrel locations over the years. Some have been great and others not so great. First, I would like to state that some customers are incredibly rude. The first 10 minutes of being seated, I witnessed a customer state that her husband took a sip of the soup and immediately had to run to the bad (states soup was bad). Food poison doesn't process that fast, sorry darling. She demanded her money back for her husbands meal (he didn't eat), but she ate all her food and stated she was hunger but it wasn't good so she should be refunded 100%.....REALLY!! The other lady got mad at the server because they didn't have any other soup selections! People need to get a grip and in my opinion managers need to be more firm. Rant over! Now for my visit, my server Christina was attentive and greeted me within 60 seconds of being seated. She checked on me several times to ensure my meal was to my liking. Although, I explained the hash brown casserole was cold but I refused to send it back (not my style). My caramel latte was perfect and the rest of my meal. The kitchen could use a little work on preparing hot food. My favorite thing about The cracker Barrel is the gift shop. I spend at least 45 minutes looking at items and ultimately walking out with a purchase. I stopped at this location on my way to visit my daughter in Gainesville, FL, so I will probably give this location a second chance to redeem themselves. read more

Had a party of 14, 05/17/24...they gave us one server for the entire party. The waitress got a few orders mixed up, but that was understandable given how many she was waiting on. But.. We didn't have enough napkins to go around. Finally, at the end more were brought. They brought one basket of biscuits and cornbread, which was not close to being enough. Never brought anymore. Drinks were never refilled or offered. And most of us agreed the food we ordered was bland/bad tasting. We will not meet here again, and i personally will not go back.. I just can't help myself as I love these down-home cheesy places such as Cracker Barrel. Tasty belly filling country comfort cooking. Terrific service. Decor that looks like it came off the show American Pickers. Biscuits and fried apples! Oh yeah! There is just something comforting about walking into that all too familiar general store in the front and perusing all the fun country kitsch merchandise along with the huge assortment of retro candies and snacks from a bygone era. Every one of these places has the exact same look and appeal. Rocking chairs in the front. Checker boards to sit and play. That annoying peg game on each table. Big fireplace in the dining room. Oil lamp on the table. A menu full of classic breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. They even have a healthy choices section on the menu now which I tried tonight. Pecan crusted catfish, baked sweet potato, and steamed mix veggies. Pretty decent. I also had to sneak in a biscuit! Plus, it's very inexpensive and we always hit it up when I am visiting family in Florida as there are a bunch of them down here. Wish they had one in NYC! Love Cracker Barrel. read more

We stopped here on our way from Port St. Lucie to Gainesville and at the late hour we arrived they were still doing a brisk business. After putting out food down she was very quick to say that our server would be checking with us in a moment. As to imply that " Don't bother me or ask me for any help" Then she said she would be right back with my hash Browns. When she brought them, again she made the same statement quickly that our server would be checking with us in a moment. This is not customer service. Our server came by right away and asked if there was anything we needed. We told her we needed more butter. She never came back until long after we had finished eating.
