I loved it here! The perfect local spot for great homemade food. The place was packed with locals, so that is an excellent sign. The food was well worth the wait and possibly some of the best biscuits and gravy I have had since my momma's.

Half eaten monster omelette. Amazing...it's like ordering a sampler of everything on the menu!

Fantastic and friendly service and home cooked food. Just what I was looking for the morning before a 20mi mountain bike ride

Delivers what you would expect. Hometown Restaurant/Cafe. Casual, simple, friendly, fresh and easy. It's probably good for a southern lunch as well, I'm just always here around breakfast time. Inexpensive breakfast made to order. I would drive up to 10-15 minutes for this place. I'm a repeat customer and will see them again when I'm in the area. Good Knight Now

This business is awesome for breakfast. Service is top notch and food is delicious and hot. Would definitely recommend anybody to come and dine here you won't regret.

    bacon omelet with home fries

I do not recommend going here unless you have time and money to waste. $9 for 4 small chunks of potato and half an omelet is not worth it at all. The service is slow. The waiters leave and don't come back. We were there for 2 and a half hours and didn't get our food til an hour and a half later. For a small cafe built onto a motel, you should be so much better. Will not be going back anytime soon.

Breakfast quesadilla with grits and over medium eggs with sausage and hash browns with a biscuit. Delicious!!

Sweet little place. There is a small dining area, often quite crowded, and food is very good. We liked it a lot and recommend it.

The exterior is clean and simple. When you walk in, it's clean, simple, and a bit Chip and Joanna-esque, which I love. I was quickly greeted and told I could sit anywhere. I was given a menu and their drink menu. After being off coffee for a week, I saw that they make their own coffee syrups, so I got an iced decaf almond milk latte with their salted caramel syrup. While I waited, I looked over the menu. I really wanted to try the french toast or the waffle, but opted for the bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant and cup of their cheese grits. The latte came out quickly and tasted exquisite. Sometimes you get decaf and it tastes watery, but not this latte. My friend ordered a salad with grilled chicken on top. Everythign came out quickly. The first thing I noticed were the cheese grits. They were delicious. Rich, creamy, and flavorful. Get them. The bacon egg and cheese on a croissant was also really good. They sell coffee at their shop to bring home.

It was just after noon on a Friday when we arrived and there was a 10-minute wait for a table. Upon being seated, we were presented the menu. We both considered ordering the Reuben Sandwich but I opted instead for the Club Sandwich on Ciabatta (as recommended by our server) and a side of Seafood Chowder. We both just ordered water with a slice of lemon to drink. Our server eventually came back with my wife's Reuben sandwich served with a bag of chips and she also had my cup of chowder, commenting how the club sandwich will be served shortly. My wife liked her Reuben, with tender meat and sharp sauerkraut. She also liked how the rye bread held up to the strong flavors. My chowder was equally good but it wasn't served with crackers. We waited a while for our server to return so I could ask for some crackers but she went ghost on us. Finally, more than 10 minutes after my wife was served her sandwich, a gentleman, who we can only assume was the manager, came over to ask if I've been served my club sandwich. Of course I pointed to a clean table to indicate no sighting of my sandwich and I also asked for some crackers. A few minutes later, the same man came back with some crackers and apologized for a mix up in the back. That's when I told them to forget the club sandwich so we can be on our way. To the manager's credit, he had the club sandwich boxed up and gave it to me free of charge. He was very apologetic. I was still a bit miffed and thought about leaving the sandwich there but my wife convinced me otherwise. Needless to say, service wasn't at the forefront during that dining experience. Despite the service mix up, however, I was still inclined to give this place 4 stars for the taste and quality of the food. The staff can have some inconsistencies and I tend to believe that's not the norm for this establishment which has earned high marks on Yelp.

I won't lie, first thing I saw was a fine layer of dust right at my eye level on the ledge along side the wall partition. Not what I expected to see, but... Our server, Brandie, was pretty busy, but she touched base a couple times letting us know she would be with us soon. She got our drinks quickly and circled back to get our orders shortly after. My partner got the fruit crepes (they ran out and waiting for more was part of the delay) and a blueberry muffin. She enjoyed the crepes and really loved the muffin, that our server said were made in-house. I had the scramble piled high: two eggs and sausage on an open faced biscuit, buried in sausage gravy. My side were the fried potatoes - hands down the BEST fried potatoes I've had in a very long time. Overall, a delicious breakfast.

Staff are friendly and this place has lots of regulars, it seemed like everyone was on a first name basis. We were traveling with a very hungry child and when searching for kid-friendly options in Ocala, this was one of the few that did not have health department violations so seemed an easy decision, even if it was a little out of our way. The challenge was the wait time. We only waited 15 minutes to be seated but we waited 40 minutes to get our food (pancakes, quiche, and a burger). Our son made sure the whole restaurant knew how hungry he was. Our waitress kindly brought out a basket of crackers which he proceeded to devour. I also supplemented with snacks from my purse. But she did not give us any updates or apologize for the wait. We almost walked out, but then our food arrived. The food was okay, but very basic. For example, side salad was just ice berg with a slice of tomato and some red onion. Nothing wrong, just nothing fancy. I would only recommend coming here if you are not hungry and can afford to wait.

Our waitress was very attentive and made sure that we had what we needed; she even made us to-go drinks for the road! I had the taco salad which was Huge in a big taco shell - you could also have it served as a traditional salad if you prefer. I asked what the protein was and I was told ground beef, but she could see if they could make it as a chicken taco salad instead. I asked her to surprise me, and she brought out one made with chunks of seasoned chicken, lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream chopped inions and salsa which was very tasty. My friend had a tuna melt, which is her favorite meal for lunch and a side of onion rings. The sandwich came out nicely toasted with melted cheese and a thick layer of tuna salad. The onion rings were beautifully fried with real onion rings inside a crispy brown coating; she usually shares the onion rings with me but she must have been so hungry and they were so tasty, that she ate them all by herself! We then had to decide from a long list of desserts, including, pies, muffins and cakes. We split a slice of coconut meringue pie, which was quite heavenly! We come through this area quite a bit, so we will definitely return.
