    Traditional Turkey Meal
    Doug S.

Very busy on Thanksgiving but service was efficient and friendly. Was not expecting that for dinner. Food was good. However, the traditional meal I ordered looked like much less food than the picture. Turkey slices were very thin. I was glad that others offered me pieces of their meal.

Comfort Food with a Side of Hit-or-Miss It's been a while since I sat down for a full meal at Cracker Barrel, but this visit reminded me that some of the old favorites don't always hit the way they used to. The standout? Our server Stephanie. After my peach mimosa arrived overly syrupy and flat, she offered to let us mix the next one at the table -- and it was so much better. (She confirmed it's optional -- definitely ask for the syrup on the side!) Another small disappointment: they no longer serve lemonade in the signature frosted mugs. Not a dealbreaker, but it took away a bit of the charm. On the plate: Bacon -- Perfectly cooked, no notes. Pancakes -- Looked great, but bland. Needed heavy syrup help. Berry pancakes (not mine) -- My dining partner admitted it was overkill. The mixed berries turned into mush, and they said strawberries alone would've been a better move. Pinto beans -- Usually my comfort go-to, but not this time. I didn't order greens, just beans -- and they were dry, flavorless, and not worth the cost or calories. I sent them back. (Check the pics -- you'll see what I mean.) And yes -- when Stephanie asked if I wanted a box to take the rest home, I almost said, "To do what? Reheat mid?" Stephanie's service was warm and appreciated. The nostalgia's still there. But overall, the food this time around just didn't deliver.

Made a pitstop at Cracker Barrel and it's a great place to grab a bite. I must not have been there in a while, so was surprised that they have a build your own breakfast! It comes with eggs, sausage and gravy, and then a choice of meat and side. The ham was salty for my liking, but everything else was good! My kids loved the peg game and there is so much to look at around the store. It's a great place to stop by during a roadtrip and stretch your legs out for a bit.

A must have for every coffee table

A wonderful throw back restaurant. A must try! The feel is a very rustic, old country atmosphere. Plenty of early American on the walls and wooden tables and chairs. There's even a huge fireplace in the dining room and rocking chairs for sale on the front porch. To enter, you're directed through an old country store with a wide variety of articles. Clothing, small toys, records and nostalgic candy and soda pop, to name a few. We scored a couple of outfits for the grand baby, both on sale, and an impressive old time ceramic coffee mug. A bit shocking to find Halloween merchandise right inside the door...on July 17th? That was until they pointed out that there will be two Christmas displays coming out before the end of this month. The food is more than adequate. Just as good as home cooked. A decent value for the price. I hustled a free Peach Cobbler off the waitress by solving the golf tee puzzle three times in a row. The manager told me that she was impressed and therefore paid for it. No freebies! I'll gladly accept a free dessert from the CBOC corporation, but not from this woman that is obviously working hard to put food on her table at home. I insisted the manager put the cobbler on my bill. He was so impressed by the gesture that HE bought it for us. 07/24

    Cold pancakes and cold eggs

Both my pancakes came cold as well as my bacon and sausage and eggs. My Strawberry-Stuffed Cheesecake Pancakes came cold and without my whip cream and strawberries. There is barely any cheesecake filling inside one of my pancakes.

    S'more latte

Pam was awesome and holly was awesome. No complaints with the food, super delicious and very cost friendly. Prices weren't outrageous and the atmosphere was one of a kind. Highly recommend this Cracker Barrel in particular, it really feels like the employees like their job and I even witnessed they appreciate their regulars! Very sweet. The s'more skillet was phenomenal, pairs well with the s'more latte

The meal came with two sliders, one I chose a traditional hamburger with pickle, cheese and ketchup and mustard. The other was a huge piece of fried chicken on a buttermilk bun and the chicken was juicy and done perfectly! My side was Mac and cheese and I chose an oatmeal Whoopi cookie. I'm not going to completely bash, because for one this place is hip, no question. This place is clean, the restrooms were very clean, and that is something unfortunately some establishments struggle with. The service was great, very friendly and very prompt. What got me is the prices set for these little sliders. Ouch! I'm not going to place the prices on here but c'mon, give us some slack on the price gouging. This is a huge deterrent for me, snd almost makes the food taste a certain way, even knowing it may me a 2 star Michelin chef in the back grill. Again the price is what threw me for a negative loop, was it bad, no. Was this overpriced like most bar n grills, well absolutely it is! Can we go back to the red plastic cup prices that we grew up with back in the day. Sorry, I'm being nostalgic.

Charming decor and friendly staff. However, my experience was ruined due to an error on my take out order. I placed an order for three additional meals with an add on order of sausages. Easy, right? I initially thought so, so I wasn't concerned about my order being incorrect. I get home and my order is missing main items like pancakes, french toast, utensils, and it looked as if the order was just slapped together. I call immediately and I explained that I just had an eaten there and then ordered additional takeout and my takeout order was incorrect. The nice young lady apologized and offered to have it remade. Now I accepted that and also stated since I have to come back up there what other compensation can you provide me. She then transfers me to the incredibly Customer Service oriented manager named Juan. I do hope you can sense the sarcasm. As I explained my situation to him stating what items have been missed, what was wrong with the order and what I expected ask a reasonable solution to this situation. He then goes on and asked me several questions over and over again about the takeout meal, I explained to him one more time to which he cut me off, overtalked me, and really wasn't listening to resolve my issue. When he asked again what I ordered I said I already told you. At which point, he cursed and said he did not want to be "a$$ hole" and basically gave me the impression that he was unwilling to fix this situation. So I told him I was going to speak to him in a nicer tone that he was talking to me that I wanted him to remake the meal. I would be there in 10 minutes and I would like it piping hot. To Juan's credit my food was ready once I arrived however, he proceeds to tell me that his waitress and his expediter both checked the order and it was correct when it left. Which wasn't true obviously. As a matter of fact, my friend said she watched the waitress grab the bag and didn't open it and just came to the table. I don't have a reason to go get free food from an establishment where I've already paid and tipped the server. Second of all he indirectly called me a liar to my face, which is poor service in its own right. Thirdly, when I asked what other compensation he was willing to provide me, he just simply smiled and said no he wasn't going to do anything. Juan needs to go back to the beginning of where Customer Service starts in order to be a better front of the house manager, because when your server makes an error, you own it you do not place the blame back on the customer. Juan needs to be retrained on how to actually service people, he does not know how to talk to anyone. He did not know how to de-escalate the situation. I have been in Customer Service for 25 years and 15 of those have been working in an escalation department that was the worst interaction I believe I have ever encountered with a manager to resolve a situation. I mean Wendy's resolved issues better than this. Being that this was my first time coming to Delaney's, it will also be my last time. Because if you treat any customers the way you treated me, is clear he has no respect for the patrons of this establishment.

The cashier was not warm whatsoever. I ordered two drinks and two pastries, scones to be exact. My drinks took a little over 10 minutes to be ready (which was not bad given how busy they were) but I still hadn't received my pastries. What was frustrating was that people who ordered after me HEATED pastries had already gotten their orders yet I hadn't received mines that just needed to be bagged? I kindly told the cashier I was still waiting for my scones and I could tell she had clearly forgotten about them. She shortly gave them to me with no apology for the delay or anything. When I got home, one of the scones I had ordered was the wrong flavor. They were also extremely dry. If you're in a rush, be mindful that the pour over coffee takes a little longer to make. I am completely dissatisfied with the service today. I might give their other location a try but this one is a no for me.

I thought that I would give it a shot again, but the food was just as disappointing as my first try. The service is great though! Everyone seems to be friendly and kind! We stopped by around 10 AM today (Saturday). Every table was full (so clearly others do like the food/service). My husband and I started off with a cup of coffee while our daughter got a glass of chocolate milk. The coffee was watery and bland (although they have a sign up front about having the world's best coffee). Be prepared to wait a while for your food. It took almost 45 minutes for us to get ours; however, it was understandable considering every table was full! For food, my daughter got the cinnamon roll. She absolutely loved it! She said that it was super soft and ooey-gooey! My husband ordered the steak and eggs. He ordered the steak medium, but it came out very well-done (super chewy). I tried his home fries with his side of bacon and both of those were good! My daughter enjoyed the bacon too! I had the biscuits and gravy and a side of "cheesy" scrambled eggs. A big no to both! The biscuits were undercooked and the gravy just tasted like a large clump of flour! The "cheesy" scrambled eggs were tough scrambled eggs with some shredded cheese sprinkled on the top! While the food was not "it" for me, there are other things that I do enjoy about Canal Wigwam! It's a cute little diner located in the center of our comforting and cozy town! They promote many other local businesses through their "decor" - the dining tables are designed with local businesses flyers/contact information, their coffee mugs promote another local business, etc. Again, I really want to like the food here, but for some reason - my taste buds do not agree!
