Anyone who's read enough of my reviews will tell you that I am a creature of habit. Thus, if I like it, I'm going to order it again, and again... and again. I finally broke that vicious cycle. I'm a huge fan of Uncle Moose's Manhandler Skillet, which I've been ordering without fail, ever single visit ever since I first came here, years ago. It would take a phenomenal server to get me to try something different. Enter --- HEATHER! Heather had such a delightful way about her, greeting us energetically, taking time to explain some of the menu options for my wife (who takes forever to make a decision, which is the only reason I can't get my food sooner). We asked about the Gameday Skillet, a seasonal item comprised of chili on a bed of scrambled eggs with potatoes, onion, tomatoes, cheese and sour cream. Now for the record, I NEVER put chili with eggs, but Heather convinced me to try it (I made a video to post, but I'm having difficulty uploading it - there is a photo). We have a winner! Well, we HAD a winner because I inhaled it in one sitting. I also had my first blueberry muffin today and that was DELICIOUS! 4 dollars for drinks. It's a scam. And they ask you what you're drinking before they give you the menu.. almost like a bait. I will be honest, I came here because the reviews were good and I was shocked just how below average the quality and taste were. The eggs were bland. No salt no pepper. The French toast was bland. Oddly, I rarely go out for breakfast but this morning, I am glad I did! Me and my friends walked in and were instantly greeted and welcomed in. The lady who greeted the front door had also let us know that our server would be with us in just a moment and offered to get us drinks in the meantime. My favorite is the three egg southwestern omelette with rye toast and potato chunks or sometimes a fruit cup. The star is the omelette. My only rub is the dry toast. Scramblers is a nice breakfast place to eat if you're in the mood. I've came here a bunch in the past and it's decent. In my most recent visit, my only complaints was that the hash browns were a bit undercooked and getting it loaded was overpriced for what you get. They also removed a couple of menu items that I used to order, such as the southwest Omelette. Service was good, food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. I went to Scramblers on a weekday morning for a late breakfast and was seated immediately. I came because I had a free birthday coupon from being signed up for their email list, which is such a nice offer from them! Our sever was great and prompt with bringing out the food. I typically go for a "skillet" meal as they come with potatoes, eggs, and other fillings. Mine was a little dry because of the ham and bacon in it, but the runny egg on top helped with it. The hash seemed like it was from a can and the eggs were over cooked. The pancakes my son had were just ok, missing buttermilk flavor. My daughter had the avocado toast and that was pretty good. They were also out of Diet Pepsi which was odd. My wife went to the Pulp Juice bar down the way as she didn't find anything on the menu here that she liked. Stopped for a quick brunch, waited a few minutes to be seated. The waitress was quick to my table and promptly took my drink order. I settled on the classic breakfast with French toast. The food was good. Eggs cooked to my liking, and the French toast was good. As far as COVID precautions go, they were maintaining social distancing and the staff was wearing masks. There may have been an option for an online menu, but I must have missed it. Perhaps I'm being overly cautious, but the menu I was presented was visibly dirty, when the food came, I was given a syrup bottle, and a bottle of ketchup. This establishment a few weeks back was serving condiments in individual serving containers. I must say my dining experience was better when these precautions were taken. If you do not mind the precautions, then by all means focus on the food review. Overall, for me, I would have liked to continue seeing that the proper precautions are taken. We have been to this Scramblers many times and have always had a great experience! The entire staff is always warm, friendly, and welcoming! I do not recall ever having a bad experience with any of our servers. The food is pretty good - always fresh and always hot. There have been a few hiccups in regard to the food, but any and all issues have always been resolved. The only issue we had today was that the toast was drenched in butter. I could not take more than two bites of my sourdough toast. The toast tasted extremely buttery and salty. Our waitress apologized and brought out some sourdough toast with butter on the side which I appreciated; however, it took quite some time to bring it out as I was almost finished with my meal when she brought it out. I also love that the prices are extremely reasonable and the portion sizes are quite large! We will continue to keep Scramblers in our breakfast/brunch rotation as we enjoy the food and the service! This restaurant is one of very few establishments in Pickerington that serves breakfast. In fact, I think it's the second (Old Village Diner, being the first). This joint has moved into the old Block Buster strip mall space. Accessible - right off the main drag. Lots of tables inside. "Warm" colors. Could use more wall decor (too much empty space). They serve breakfast and lunch, and their menu has a balanced number of entrees for both. We were seated in a booth - no waiting time! - and got our drinks right away. I chose the Awesome Avocado omelet, home fries (cubed potato chunks, slightly seasoned) on the side. The meal was ok. Nothing to brag out, not horrible. I enjoy Scramblers and this location is no exception. I have my Mom and sister hooked on going here. My Mom likes ordering their mini classic, because it gives her a little of everything. My sister usually orders from their griddle items because she likes that they are bottomless. My taste varies depending on my mood, but it is usually one of their huge omelettes or a skillet or their veggie quinoa. The food has always been made to order and tastes great! By far my favorite breakfast place in Pickerington. The portions are always huge and for the price, it can't get much better.
