This is not the place to be on Father's day! Our waitress seemed overwhelmed with too much work that she wasn't able to assist with helping our 95 year old Dad with the right portion for his ordered. Got to the restaurant at 7:15 on Oct9 and had a 20min wait, which is understandable on a Saturday morning. We got seated with our 11 month old and asked for a high chair which we never got. Waited for about 15 mins and never even got looked at by a waiter. Another couple got sat across from us and were almost immediately asked for drinks. Very bad service. I missed Cracker Barrel and decided to try it on my business trip. I had the catfish dinner (1 fried, 1 blackened/grilled) and loved both. I had the fried orkas, corn on cob, and collard greens. Service was fast and attentive. If you pass through here, then I would recommend this town. Between Memphis and Birmingham, there are few large cities and this one is one of them besides Old Albany, Tupelo, and Jasper. read more

The best thing about Cracker Barrel is whatever the location you go to you know exactly what you're going to get. They always offer you the breakfast and lunch menus and whatever time of the day you are they you can get whichever type of food you want. Our server, Debra, was great. The food was great. The Stars were lost because our food took forever to arrive. Tables that were sat after us were served before us. We expected the manager to apologize for the delay but we never saw anyone except Debra and she apologized profusely even though she had done her job quite well and SHE had no reason to apologize. Good approximation of Southern food in a good approximation of a country atmosphere. The place is always packed when we go, but usually the wait time on a table isn't terribly long. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive for the most part, although during a rush you may get left waiting for a while. Personal favorites- The french toast, meatloaf. So my friends and I checked in to be seated after 30 mins of waiting we asked what the wait time was. They had informed us that our name was not even on the wait list and they said we would be next to be seat since we had been waiting that long. They continue to call larger groups of people for 10 minutes and we just pull our name from the list and leave. The only thing they said was sorry. I know it's hard to work in the food industry with out people getting mad at you but we literally spelled our name out for you and we thought you were trying it in the computer. Great service hardly any wait the macaroni and cheese is delicious and the mashed potatoes are very tasty the meatloaf is what I had and I was not disappointed I think their little store is neat very clean well organized not that loud at all there is a lot of restaurants in tupelo but this one would be very very hard to beat. read more

My visit at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store this morning was quite outrageous to say the least. The service... terrible, the food... sub par, and don't even get me started about customer service. There was a 15 minute wait even though we could clearly see open tables, the time it took for our table to get a waiter was preposterous. We would see people walk in up to five minutes after u, and they would get waiters before us. I'm not sure if this was just a Monday morning thing but after this experience, the last place I will recommend is Cracker Barrel. read more

Horrible! If I could rate no stars I would. Me and my fiancé got sat 15 mins after checking in with the hostess and no one came to take our table for 20 minutes. A table of 16, 7 and 2 got sat after us and all of their drink and food order was taken except for us and we're all in the same section. It is not hard to put in an order for 2 first before a 16 top. Worst Cracker Barrel ever! Waitress was not nice, our food was not right and 2 of 4 plates had to be sent back because they were not right. How do you mess up scrambled eggs with cheese? They can. Ordered cornbread. When we were nearly done we had to ask for it to be brought out. Asked for extra ranch for a salad, never got that. Water glass never got refilled. I went to this Cracker Barrel this morning with my wife to have breakfast. I ordered the same thing I always order which is the momma breakfast. I always substitute the eggs for hash brown at every Cracker Barrel I go to including this one. The manager on duty today refused to do it this morning for some reason. I explained that they always substitute them but she still refused to substitute. At this point, I told my wife let's go somewhere else. I will never go back to this Cracker Barrel again after how I was treated!!! Poor service!!! read more

I love this Cracker Barrel. I have been here twice in the last two weeks. We were seated promptly and our meals were delivered to the table fresh and hot. I ordered the Catfish platter w/ turnip greens, hash browns, and fried apples and it was delicious. I ate breakfast at the Barnes crossing Cracker Barrel Saturday March 26. My order came with two eggs, bacon, sausage, two pancakes. It was good! My eggs was just the way I wanted them, the pancakes was delicious. My waitress wasn't too friendly but took very good care of me. This place knows how to get the food out. read more

Went to this location with my mother today. Unique was our server. Mom asked for blueberry pancakes, checking twice Unique had it right. Someone else brought our food, including the wrong pancakes(it happens). The other server took the pancakes back to be fixed. Looking around for Unique to get some tea, the new pancakes had time to be made and my mother be digging in before we saw Unique again. I asked for more tea. My mother eventually grew tired of me having no drink, as I can't eat bread(what I had left) without water or something. She got up to go to the kitchen and ask someone there to get me something to drink. After I had finished my food and mom had finished hers, Unique returned with drinks and said "Sorry guys, she got me in trouble." and laid out ticket down. She might have been referring to the other server that had been covering for her mistakes with another guest at the table next to us. I'm not sure if she got in trouble because she was caught chatting in the kitchen, because my mom had to get my drink, or because the table next to us had found hairs in their food and had told Unique without any follow-up concern. Always good country food. The catfish is the best then you get to browse the store on the way out.

Love the spicy grilled catfish, and always order it. Sometimes the restaurant is full and you have to wait awhile, but to me they are very efficient at moving people through. Usually the wait staff is courteous and friendly and its always a nice experience...just don't get upset if it takes awhile before you get your food. Its worth the wait. read more

This is absolutely the worst cracker barrel I've ever eaten at. The management is terrible, as well as most of the staff. Our last waitress couldn't even give us drink refills because she was too busy taking smoke breaks every 5 minutes. When my mom comes to visit she always request Cracker Barrel for lunch. We love the to eat there. But in Tupelo the food, service and cleanliness to going way down. Which is sad. I have never given a bad review. But I have to now because the past several visits have been terrible. I will say our waitress was good no complaints with her. Food service was fast. But I did receive dirty silverware not only once but twice yes the same visit. My food was cold especially potatoes like from the fridge cold. It took for ever to get more. I waited forever on napkins as well. Overall I felt like we were being rushed to get the next people seated. I don't plan on visiting anytime soon. If you do check your silverware!!! Our waitress didn't even ask what we would like to drink and had to wait for a refill for over half of the meal. If it would be possible to give this restaurant zero stars I would. My husband and I worked here for the last three years. After faithfully giving our service, this past Saturday the "acting" general manager RaSheda Henry wrote my husband up for having two different tables spill drinks, which is an unforeseeable event, much less accidental and in way a reflection of a server's ability. Accidents happen. The write up detailed that he should take the rest of the day off. It was signed by the manager herself. He was scheduled to work a double, but did as was told and did not return to work that night. Instead, he returned the following morning on time as scheduled, at which time she proceeded to fire him for a "no call no show" the previous night. This is even though she put it in writing for him not to return. I filed an employee complaint form with corporate and placed a call. This discrimination is uncalled for and absolute insanity that she could get by with telling him not to come and then firing him for it. I could go into the details about you do not want to eat here, but obviously the decline in clientele base is a sign that people already know this. This is another case of #bradswife. Cracker Barrel obviously favors discrimination and unprofessionalism. read more

horrible Horrible!! The waitress took forever to even take our drinks and then finally took our order. She didn't bring us no bread and we have been waiting 25-30 min while all the other people sitting around us WHO CAME iN AFTER US got their food and practically already finished it!! We call another waitress over she was real friendly thank goodness and goes to talk to manager. She comes back and says our order was LOST! We at this point were extremely frustrated and just wanted our food. The manager comes over and says that the order says we only have been waiting 8 min like he didn't believe us that we had been waiting that long! Finally, the other waitress says our food is coming, she brings us our food which is slightly cold. The original waitress is still nowhere to be seen...who knows where she abandoned us to.
