This is a decent Cracker Barrel, but your experience definitely depends upon the time of day. Oddly enough, the busier they are (holidays, mornings), the better the service and quality of food; the slower they are (afternoons, evenings), the slower the service and the food may be a gamble. (Definitely do not order the "hash brown casserole" out of traditional breakfast times. They obviously make one batch in the morning and the later the day, the older it gets and frankly, it's not as good.) I've also noticed they've also cut the menu down dramatically recently. So, in my opinion, for best results, come for breakfast/brunch/lunch and don't bother coming from afternoon on. That is the busiest time for them, so don't be surprised if the parking lot is full. The handicapped spaces are always full, but there are other close spaces. They do good eggs. Always just as ordered. If you prefer your bacon crisp, you do need to tell the waitress that or it might arrive a bit on the limp side. Biscuits, cornbread, sourdough toast - it's all good. Hash brown casserole is good, but only in the mornings like I mentioned above. I tried the Cinnamon Roll French Toast from their winter holiday menu. It was absolutely delicious but definitely one of those things you only eat once a year. If you're a fan of those flavors, give it a try before the season is over. A good hit is always their Southern Fried Chicken. I've had this in different CBs across the states and it is consistently good. Absolutely has a homemade vibe to it. Their cobbler desserts are always a win, but if you are in the mood for chocolate, you NEED to try the Coca-Cola cake, warmed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Split it with a loved one though, it's incredibly rich. Even with slow service at times, the wait staff is always friendly and helpful. The store is consistently clean. The knickknack/candy/souvenir area is packed beyond what would be considered proper and is difficult to navigate with children, a wheelchair/cane, etc/

I usually have good experiences at this Cracker Barrel. But on my most recent visit, none of the restroom stalls had any toilet paper. So someone wasn't doing their job in maintaining this part of the store. It needs a good cleaning. Service here was really good and I had a very friendly and energetic waitress. There was a delay on the biscuits but she made sure I got some as soon as they were ready. The food was ok and not the usual quality. Hopefully there are improvements if I stop here again.

Yes, I did visit Cracker Barrel twice in one weekend. Overall, my experience at this location was pretty good! The hashbrown casserole tater tots were the star of the show. Don't miss out on these! As always, their biscuits are top notch. Our meal came with corn muffins and biscuits and of course, butter. I had to try the buttermilk Buffalo chicken ranch Mac n cheese. Buffalo is pretty much my favorite thing in the world, so it was a no brainer for me. Sadly, there was only a drizzle of the sauce and not nearly enough spice for me. The chicken however was extremely crispy and delicious! I wish it was hotter when it came out. Our service was great though and didn't take long at all to get our food. I always enjoy checking out the cute stuff they have in their shop and they had a nice variety of items/themes.

My family loves Cracker Barrel and our recent experience at this location didn't change that option whatsoever. We originally wanted to eat at a nearby steak restaurant, but the wait was over two hours. I AM NOT the most patient individual, especially when I'm hungry. So, I walked over the Cracker Barrel and they could seat our party of 10 immediately .... score! The service was wonderful and our servicer was perky and very friendly, as well as reasonably efficient. I ordered the steak with shrimp (since I don't eat red meat at home). It was perfectly cooked and I cleaned my plate. The general store is an added benefit since it offers some local items that aren't available anywhere else. I would recommend eating here if you're craving some good southern cuisine.

Food was good. Surprisingly not crowded for the Saturday before Mother's Day. Wait time wasn't long. Waitress was nice. Overall experience was an average one. Will I go back? Probably, but nothing really stood out to me about the service or food.

Loved our server Traci! She was very kind, funny, and the conversations felt personal. Ordered the buffalo ranch mac and cheese which was pretty good. Four stars just because some people thought their food was lacking flavor, it didn't smell very pleasant in the building, and bathrooms were dirty + didn't have toilet paper.

    Grandma's Sampler w/ pecan pancakes

The restaurant was busy, but not packed on this weekday morning so we were able to go right in. The food came out fast and freshly cooked. I got my usual, Grandma's Sampler, except I tried it with pecan pancakes instead of regular and it was delicious. I am not as impressed with the decision to remove grits and butter off the menu recently and now are only available as cheesy grits and are an upcharge side item. They have also added alcohol to the menu within the last 6 months including brunch memosas. I will admit they do have some work to do on making good memosas. Overall this is a good clean location i would frequent again.

The food was not good. They even messed up the pancakes, didn't know that was possible.

We arrived just in the nick of time before their 2pm closing time during the weekday. My friends were acquainted with the server and the owner. Our server was very friendly and welcomed and thanked me for giving them a try. After we all finished chatting she took our drink order. We were all indecisive about our selection since there were many delicious items to select. They 3 of my friends decided to try something they hadn't tried yet. It was all to me so it was hard to select immediately. But, I finally decided on the Strawberry Grilled Cheese sandwich and side selection was the orzo with spinach. Our orders arrived and we sampled each others sandwiches. I did like the strawberry grilled cheese. I didn't think it would pair well, but I was wrong. I thought the same about the Fig Grilled Sandwich. I think I will have that next time. Or I might try some of the other interesting Grilled Sandwiches. The orzo dish was a refreshing dish and went well with the sandwich. This place is decorated cute and it is spacious inside with booth and table seatings available. My friends told me it is busy on the weekends. Our visit was on a Friday. It could have been very busy earlier but when we were seated there were plenty of tables available. This town is quaint, all brick buildings. Be sure you pay attention to the signs where you park. Parking patrol is always patrolling the area. I would definitely return come check them out.

Great food- everyone more than satisfied. Outdoor seating. Could use a better cup of coffee, but…read moreotherwise brilliant. Will return on my next trip through Statesville!
