As a local to this location, I am finally forced to write this review. We checked in online well before arriving and still had to wait 15-20 minutes to be seated. Once seated, our waitress was very nice and quickly brought our drinks, silverware, and hot biscuits. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. After we finished our biscuits, we noticed our waitress had left (as in, the building entirely). After waiting about 30 minutes, another waitress came over and told us she would be taking over our table. By that point, several tables around us were becoming frustrated as well, with no one receiving food yet. Eventually, the table across from us was served, even though we had been seated before them and were still waiting. After we asked about our order, the new waitress finally checked and said the food would be out shortly. We also never received drink refills, and my sister eventually had to get up and go to the kitchen area herself to get tea. When our food finally arrived, I ordered the hamburger steak with mac & cheese and green beans. The "steak" was essentially just a hamburger patty, and the mac & cheese was cold and bland. On top of that, the noise level from the bus staff was excessive--much louder than expected, with silverware being tossed into containers in a way that was very disruptive. The bathrooms were also not clean and had no toilet paper. I hate leaving negative reviews, but this location has been a disappointment the last several times we've dined here. I will say the retail staff are always great--no issues there. I just wish I could say the same for the dining area. read more

After 3 hours on the road on our return trip home from Myrtle Beach Bike Week we decided to take a break and found this Cracker Barrel. What a great stop! The employee who brought us our coffees was pleasant, friendly, and efficient. I love blueberry pancakes, and I knew as soon as I looked at their menu what I was ordering. The Pancake Breakfast comes with your choice of pancakes (blueberries always of course), 2 eggs, and choice of meat (bacon for me, tyvm). Cracker Barrels line their walls with such interesting pictures and it was really nice just sitting, relaxing, and scanning the walls while waiting for my pancakes. The pancakes were very good with the exception that they might have been cooked a tad longer to create more of a golden brown color, however the inside was done so no harm done. Before I knew it, my plate was cleaned, my coffee cup empty, and it was time to get back on the bike. A good meal, pleasant service, and a relaxing stop is what you'll find here. Got here, go seated, ordered, 10 minutes later brought us waters, said there was no coffee yet and no biscuits yet, 30 minutes later was told they forget to hit the "brew button" on the coffee. Asked about our meals, told us very soon, 20 minutes later our strawberry pancakes, eggs and bacon and chicken and Mac and cheese came out. My son ordered rice for a side and for fries instead. My eggs were like plastic, the pancakes were decent but nothing to write home about. It was very loud inside and was not overly busy, and many others got their meals way before us even though we ordered way before them. We waited a hour exactly for 2 pancakes and a chicken breast, quite insane. The eggs were not even edible. I would not return and I would not suggest this place. read more

Finally made it to the Cracker barrel in Walterboro. It was definitely worth the wait and hope to be heading back there for more of their breakfast offerings. Cracker Barrel Waterboro SC 2-28-25 Stopped by here for a bite to eat just off 95. Like most Cracker Barrels they have a general store in the front with all kinds of items for sale. Once seated this place was clean and neat with a large fireplace along the one wall. One thing I did notice the tables are worn on the tops. We got waited on quickly. I had the Hashbrown Casserole Shepard's Pie and the wife had Lemon Pepper Grilled Rainbow Trout. Our food was very good hot and lots of flavor. It also came with Cornbread and Biscuits. Went to Cracker Barrel in Walterboro, SC on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, however, they had NO silverware !!!! Had to eat with plastic form, knife, and spoon. Cut my chicken with a plastic knife! The restaurant was NOT busy so I'm thinking the manager should have been in the back washing silverware. Very bad. I hate that. We eat at Cracker Barrel often, and this is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review. We arrived at 7:20 pm, well past any dinner rush. There were plenty of empty tables in the dining room, but the store area was packed with people waiting. We were told the wait would be 15 minutes. It ended up being 45. At that point I was actively trying to convince my wife to leave and go somewhere else. When our name was finally called and we were being seated, someone came out of the bathroom, elbowed past us, and went straight into the kitchen. The smell of marijuana was so strong it was impossible to ignore. Once seated, our server was actually quite good. She took our order quickly and was friendly and attentive when she did stop by. Unfortunately, it still took another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. When it did, several items were missing and had to be requested later when she returned. The food itself tasted great, as Cracker Barrel usually does. That said, the service flow was a mess. Our server only checked on us twice, and I eventually had to flag down someone else just to get the bill. Overall, this experience was frustrating from start to finish, and we will not be coming back to this Cracker Barrel. read more

So disappointed. I grew up going to Cracker Barrel and this location had the worst service ever. Our server, Katelyn (Caitlyn?) has a lot to learn. Not only did she serve us cold food, I had to ask her to clear our dinner dishes as she was searching for a place to put down our dessert. Good dinner. Went and had breakfast for dinner. I always get the same steak and eggs and couldn't really complain about that. Service was a bit all over the place. We were seen quickly, but long time to return, almost impossible to get drinks refilled. The place, store, restaurants, bathrooms were all clean and nicely maintained. We had a great time in the gift shop and made purchases, and the man behind the counter was awesome. Our waitress was great. But the food was not. One of the first times I've ever gotten a bad breakfast from a Cracker Barrel. It's pretty hard to mess up pancakes, but they were black. The bacon was wrong. The hashbrowns were barely cooked. Well, the gf said the reviews were not so good. Most of the negatives were about the service. Well, she was right. Service was slow and lethargic. Biscuits and gravy were lukewarm at best. Our server forgetting to bring things that were included with the meal or that we asked for three times and never were brought. I had to go up to the kitchen entrance 3 times and asked for items. Yes, spoke with the manager on duty. Yes, he adjust part of our bill. At least he was very apologetic about the slow service and lukewarm food. We eat on a Friday between 4:15 to 5:30. It's wasn't very busy, there seemed to be enough staff, but they seemed to be going in circles. I work in a kitchen both front and back of house, it just didn't seem organized. read more

Stopped her after driving almost 10 hours hoping for a good hot meal. Was so disappointed because there was not one good thing about the meal or service we received there. Had to ask 3 times for silverware, they were out of many of the items they advertised, we waited for over 45 minutes for our food which came barely warm. The mashed potatoes my husband had were actually cold and hard. stuck a fork in them and it stood straight up. Many people walked out and many were voicing their displeasure quite loudly. We've visited Cracker Barrel's throughout the states and this was by far the worst experience ever. To start there was no host at the stand, but she did apologize when she finally arrived. Our waitress was not welcoming or attentive. Service was very slow. My coffee cup was empty by the time our food arrived and the restaurant was very light in traffic. My sausage skillet hash brown casserole was cold and my eggs were scrambled instead of over medium as requested. My husband ordered Momma's breakfast with sausage, he was given bacon instead. When he told her it was wrong she took his plate of eggs along with the bacon and it took over 10 minutes for her to return with the correct dish. Needless to say he was nearly done eating the pancakes. No napkins offered and she never checked on us to make sure our food was ok. I ordered the Catfish fried in cornmeal with two sides of macaroni and cheese and the corn. The catfish was bland, the macaroni was the best part about the dish, but nothing to write home about. The corn was bland. The sweet tea and lemonade was overly sweet and had lemon pulp in it. Also, they were out of rice, and most of their dessert options. Ms. Tabitha our server was very nice and helpful. She deserves a pay raise. On a positive, I enjoyed the decor and the gift shop was great as always. Very nice ambience. read more

Ordered Uber Eats, but the restaurant was having difficulty finding a driver, they offered money back if I came in to pick it up but I was unable. They finally found a driver after 2 hours....I was very understanding about that, I was watching the driver on the Uber app and she had a 45 minute trip to pick it up, now mind you this Cracker Barrel is literally a few blocks away from the hotel that I am staying at. The food arrives and the drinks are WARM, the food is so cold that the gravy was gelled. I know for a fact that our $50 order was left out on a counter waiting for a driver . I blame the restaurant, they were well aware of the difficulty of finding a driver, that our order should have been kept warm and our drinks should have been refreshed. I was in town for work and walked over here from Hampton Inn after a 14 hour day thinking I could get in and out. Before now Cracker Barrel has been consistent each time I've dined in different cities. It took 2 hours to get my food. I could tell this wasn't a unique problem because the server quickly resorted to getting the manager to come talk to me. I was falling asleep at the table.
