    Plastic like over easy egg

I wish I read the reviews before coming here, they aren't wrong. Got here, go seated, ordered, 10 minutes later brought us waters, said there was no coffee yet and no biscuits yet, 30 minutes later was told they forget to hit the "brew button" on the coffee. Asked about our meals, told us very soon, 20 minutes later our strawberry pancakes, eggs and bacon and chicken and Mac and cheese came out. My son ordered rice for a side and for fries instead. My eggs were like plastic, the pancakes were decent but nothing to write home about. It was very loud inside and was not overly busy, and many others got their meals way before us even though we ordered way before them. We waited a hour exactly for 2 pancakes and a chicken breast, quite insane. The eggs were not even edible. I would not return and I would not suggest this place.

Old timers breakfast with two eggs, and two sausage patties, and hash brown casserole and biscuits and gravy.

Finally made it to the Cracker barrel in Walterboro. It was definitely worth the wait and hope to be heading back there for more of their breakfast offerings. Glad they have decided not to change the logo and decor. They are known for their memorabilia on their walls, makes for interesting conversations.

I heard the device was slow but the server was so sweet and hard working. My maple chicken with greens was actually very delicious. I can't complain. Yummy iced tea as well. Cute retro deco. I enjoyed it. Thankful to all the hardworking folks that made my stay delightful.

Cracker Barrel Waterboro SC 2-28-25 Stopped by here for a bite to eat just off 95. Like most Cracker Barrels they have a general store in the front with all kinds of items for sale. Once seated this place was clean and neat with a large fireplace along the one wall. One thing I did notice the tables are worn on the tops. We got waited on quickly. I had the Hashbrown Casserole Shepard's Pie and the wife had Lemon Pepper Grilled Rainbow Trout. Our food was very good hot and lots of flavor. It also came with Cornbread and Biscuits. I would go back for this again. Loved the atmosphere and our waiter Joseph was on top of things. I give this place 5 out of 5 stars. Follow Me On FB For More Reviews. Gulf Coast Terry

Host: The host was extremely kind and greeted us with a little Fourth of July dance. It made us feel welcomed and like we would want to come again. 5/5 Waitress: Though she was nice, she was absolutely horrible at "being a good waitress": lack of refills, never getting the sauce we requested, walking around doing nothing. We noticed that the other waitress was on the ball and serving double the tables many times quicker. 1/5 Kindness: All the workers and even the customers were very kind and treated us very well. There were very many "excuse me's," "my pleasure's," and "no problem's." 5/5 Prices: They were not too bad, but they have definitely risen over the past few years. However, nearly all prices have risen, so I guess we can't hold them too accountable. 3/5 Waiting Time: The waiting time was a little disappointed. We noticed that it wasn't very full, and there seemed to be many workers on duty. However, it took well over thirty minutes to receive our food. In addition, we didn't get refills until we were halfway done our food (so around 35-40 minutes). 1/5 Food: While my food was amazing (trio deal), my fellow guest's food was disappointing. For the long wait time, we were expecting it to be amazing. However, the steak was tough and had little flavor, along with the baked potato, which lacked butter and sour cream and was dry. 2/5 Cleanliness: The restaurant was clean and had very little visible blemishes or dirt. The wall of the booths were a little dirty, but not too bad. 4/5 Paying: We had to wait a while to pay because server was nowhere to be found (which by at this point was expected). We were ready to leave for a while and simply had to sit there. 2/5 While this review contained many fives, the main reason we came (the food) and the overall experience was very disappointing. I never understood why so many of these restaurants were closing down, but after this experience, I finally understand why. To average the numbers, it lands on a 2.8/5, which rounds up to a 3.

Left after waiting about 5-10 minutes.

The staff were all very polite and friendly. We were seated quickly with drink orders taken. It took a few minutes to get the drinks, but thats OK. A larger table was seated before us so its all good. We placed our food order of the Loaded Fries for an appetizer, 2 Killer Club sandwichs(pesto on the side)with fries, Secret Philly with onion rings and the Blackened Fish Tacos with the chips salsa and queso. The Loaded Fries were delicious! Plenty of bacon and queso on them. The Philly was delicious, onion rings hot and crispy. The kids loved their Club sandwiches. They were HUGE and the kids could have easily split one. The Blackened Fish Tacos were the only negative on our trip. They were pale colored, hardly warm, and the slaw was soggy. Honestly they were aweful! My husband tried a bite and said it tasted like it was from yesterdays trash. I have seen tons of good reviews on them so I'm not sure if they have been changed or I got them on a bad day or what. I hate sending food back, so I just ate them. I tried throwing pesto from the clubs, salsa or queso on bites trying to make them better, but nothing really helped. Overall we will definitely be back again, just not ordering the tacos!

From the first phone inquiry to the experience in the restaurant, the people were genuinely polite and welcoming. The atmosphere felt calm, relaxed, and easy. The food exceeded expectations. The Cobb salad was especially good - fresh, well-balanced, and thoughtfully put together, with healthy ingredients and no bacon, which I appreciated. The shrimp tacos were excellent, topped with a slightly sweet/spicy, mysterious sauce that worked really well. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!!!

Although I have been to waffle House, which I'm sure I reviewed prior. I came in around supper time, 6:00 p.m. or so, and it was probably at 75% capacity. I sat at the bar, after being welcomed by a local fully equipped with his own Skynyrd beer koozie!! Hahaha! They have karaoke, and they karaoke DJ spinning all the good country hits, literally emulating exactly what I play at home. Anyhow, the local that pulled my chair out essentially, told me that the "bartender sucked" But in good ole down home local fashion, she clapped right back, and obviously he was joking cuz she is phenomenal. Despite having a completely full bar, and waiting tables, she acknowledged me almost immediately. Even sat down in the bar stool next to me to take my order and chit chat and go over the menu with me. I think her name was Alicia, but regardless she was outstanding! I ordered hot wings and lemon pepper wings. They came out really fast, really hot, and really good. I kind of wish I had room to order another entree, but it filled me up. As I waited for my food, I was suddenly engulfed by an entire group of locals. Now this place, is the mature crowd, and they were so nice they sort of took me under their wing! This is the epitome of down south hospitality. I've been holding out on coming to this place for a few years now, and looking back, I wish I would have came a lot sooner. I hate using the term "vibe", But this is totally my vibe. Great food, great service, great locals, laid back atmosphere with music playing and karaoke? You just can't beat it. I have responsibilities, so I had to leave really early, but rest assured, I will definitely be back. I mean who else is going to sing Jason Aldean on the karaoke machine? Thank you skynyrd's, thank you Alicia (I hope I remembered your name right), such a great experience and I'm sorry I had to cut it short! We've never tried Captain D's but Jeremy really enjoys fried fish. This seemed like something he could eat while driving, but alas they were out of fried fish, and about half of their menu including condiments such as ketchup and cocktail sauce. Nevertheless we were able to cobble together two meals, and neither of us had any complaints. Jeremy had fried shrimp and popcorn shrimp with hush puppies (I love how many restaurants in the south have these on their menu. These were perfect, if not a tiny bit too salty). I had chicken tenders (they actually had honey mustard dipping sauce, which is my preferred sauce when it comes to chicken) and some amazing cole slaw (not mushy). Even though we couldn't have several of our first choices (out of jalapeno poppers), what we did eat was crispy and delicious. I wouldn't mind trying Captain D's again, sometime in the future, when we're on yet another epic adventure. Sorry no pics.
