We just moved here and we're looking for a good cafe. We stopped in and I ordered a veggie cheese omelette. When the food was delivered I heard the table next to us saying how good the omelette looked. It was so good! This was a full size omelette packed with veggies. The waitress did a great job coming back to see how we were doing. We also had to try their French toast which o gave it a 4 out of 5 because I like mine with more cinnamon in it for flavor. Next time I will ask them for more but now I know. The portions were huge! And I've paid more for smaller portions somewhere else. This place came recommended from a coworker who is on this side of the valley. I can't say I was overly impressed, but I can't say I was underwhelmed either. We arrived and were greeted immediately and sat right on the spot. The waitress was attentive and brought our drinks out right away while we reviewed the menu. Unfortunately, the water and iced tea has a strange off taste to it. Not sure what it was or if that's just how the water tastes, but I wasn't a fan. The breakfast menu was pretty expansive and I did want to try the seafood omelette. I opted for the Southwest Eggs Benedict. I was impressed with chorizo it had food flavor. The sauce was nothing special I did expect a little more bang for my buck for the baja sauce. The potatos were crispy a mix of something like a cubed potato and a smashed crispy hash brown. This was the first time we had noticed Crackers & Co. We were out early and decided to give it a try. The Cafe sits in front of the Costco and close to a strip mall. We were early. We were seated right away. There were many open tables so having to wait for a table wasn't necessary. Thank goodness for that! We loved the menu. There were many choices for breakfast and the prices were very reasonable. One order was for a cheese omelet. It wasn't on the menu but other omelets were. There was no problem getting this ordered. It was absolutely delicious and covered in cheese. The other order was for ham steak, two perfectly cooked eggs and hash browns. The piece of ham was half of a dinner ham!! It wasn't the processed piece that some restaurants serve. Both orders were very good. We had no complaints with the food and would definitely return because of the food. The issue was not the food. Our issue was with the service. Coffee cups were totally empty without refills. Trying to get the attention of our server (Mari) was difficult. Finally I had to hold my empty cup upside down to get another server to let our server know. Then, it seemed forever to get that cup filled even after she acknowledged the empty cup. Why? That time it was because she was multi-tasking. and we were thinking it was to save her steps. Our breakfast was up and instead of filling our cups while we continued to wait, she either collected our breakfast, made coffee, poured it in a pitcher or whatever she did, it all arrived to together. Servers and employees here are so friendly and sweet! They're so accommodating. I've been here a total of 4 times and all those 4 times it's been so good! I haven't been failed. Yesterday I went out for breakfast with 4 other ladies with me and even though it was super busy, the food came in fast. I had the best French toast with honey butter thingy, 2 bacons and eggs on the side. I forgot the name of it but it's in the "Griddle" side. It's honestly the best French toast I've ever had. The butter they used for it really melted good in my mouth on top of the French toast. I loved it! Now I'm coming back just for that. It's been a few years since I was here last and everything was as I expected. Great Service and an extensive menu. I ordered my favorite - the New Princess omelet - filled with chicken, veggies and cream cheese topped with hollandaise sauce. Large side of potatoes and toast. Everything was great. I forgot to ask for my potatoes to be extra crispy, so they were a bit soft for my taste. So be sure to note that if you want crispy potatoes. My companion had the classic Benedict, and she ate every bite! The hubby had their special French toast with apple cranberry which comes with bacon and eggs. He was a little disappointed with the French toast. It was the thick bread which is not his preference. Love the little carafes they give you for coffee refills. And choice of creamers. They also have a bar for mimosas and bloody Mary's as well as other adult beverages. We will be back. read more

First time we've been disappointed... After frequenting Crackers for 10 years since we moved to AZ, we recently had a late breakfast there. I love the 4-berry blintzes and the link sausage. I ordered my fave as usual. The quality of the blintzes and sausage were both less than I am used to. Wondering if the restaurant has changed vendors for some items or if lesser quality ingredients or items (like the link sausages) are being substituted. Will give then another try. Hope our experience was an outlier. However if the quality is still off next visit, we will vote our dining-out dollars elsewhere. read more

Wow. The service here has gone downhill over the years. I specifically called to confirm they had outdoor dining which they said they did and to come on in. I walk in and the hostess isn't around. Then she comes up, wearing a mask... firmly around her chin. Exactly why we don't really want to eat inside with omicron still running strong. I ask for a table outside. Her, curtly: "We don't do outside seating". Me: "I just called ahead and the girl said you do." Her: "Oh she must not have known, we're not seating outside". She then asks another waitress who said equally as rudely we can't sit outside. Me: "There's literally a table outside and eating right now!" Her: *looking confused*. Goes to look outside and see the table of people outside. Comes back and says to my wife "They have a dog. I know he's not happy but we can't seat you outside." So apparently if you have a dog you can sit outside but not if you just wanna avoid the pandemic. Then it's too much for them to walk your food an extra 15 feet to an outside table. They let us leave rather than sit us outside without even bothering to say sorry for telling us earlier that they would. They must not need the business. read more

I love crackers! Everything on their menu is delicious! We came on a Saturday at 11:30am and they were still on a wait for breakfast so call ahead. They'll put your name on the wait list and have a table ready for you!!! I always get their omelette or skillet! They never skimp on cheese and their toast is perfectly buttered! This place is fantastic and is becoming one of our favorite places for brunch! It is funny because it gives the vibes of eating at grandmas in the south but hte food is amazing, quick, and cheap! Their brunch vodka cocktails are $6 a pop and are on the sweeter side but still a great deal if that's what you are looking for with brunch. They have a few specials that are available just for the month they swap out. The specials are always amazing and that is what we have ordered so far. First time at Crackers and we all enjoyed our experience. Two of us had the Breakfast 222 which came with two big pancakes, two eggs cooked to your choice and your choice of two bacon or sausage. I had the Run through the Garden with a side of country potatoes...the potatoes were soooo good! They were busy and the service was great! The hostess (cute little blonde lady) was super friendly and helpful with insuring my vegetarian needs were accommodated (what I mean is I don't eat eggs or meat...we arrived before they started making lunch but she made sure she communicated with our waitress that I would like something off the lunch menu. We went to this restaurant this past weekend to get a late breakfast & escape the over 110 degree temperatures outside. We were seated at a table & quickly realized the temperature inside this restaurant was nearly as hot inside as it was outside. As we looked around, we could clearly see all the employees were sweating and visibly exhausted from trying to do their jobs in these circumstances. (One of the employees mentioned to us that it was hotter in the kitchen. I can't even imagine what it must be like for anyone trying to stand over their hot stoves cooking food all day long!) Because of what we witnessed today, we made the decision to get up and walk out, prior to even ordering. This restaurant is clearly licensed to operate in Arizona and Maricopa County has been under an "excessive heat warning" for nearly 3 weeks now. It's inconceivable that anyone would make their staff work under these conditions. (It was also heartbreaking to witness this entire situation.) That being said, I sincerely hope the owners are making every effort possible to fix their HVAC units as soon as they possibly can. And, if they aren't going to do so, I hope someone takes the necessary steps to report them to the Department of Labor or files a complaint against this restaurant with the Better Business Bureau. read more

Great breakfast place near the South Mountain Pima Canyon Access. We came here on Sunday around 8:30am after hiking nearby, and I enjoyed my breakfast here. I noticed there are a lot of chairs outside the restaurant, although they weren't busy at all when we arrived, I bet they get really busy later on the day. In fact when we left the restaurant around 9:30am they were about 80% full. I had Southwest Egg Benedict. Spicy chorizo patty went well with avocado. It was just a bit spicy but it wasn't overwhelming at all. It was just right and tasted good. Poached egg was cooked perfectly. When I cut it half I was really happy to see slightly runny yolk. Adobo Hollandaise sauce tasted good too. While I really enjoy traditional Hollandaise sauce, this southwestern flavored complimented the egg benedict pretty well. Coffee was blah... just what I anticipated. I would skip coffee next time, and will get a cup of coffee afterwords somewhere else. read more

My husband and I had just moved down to this location about a month or two ago, and I've been somewhat feeling very blue moving away from my grandchildren and children. My husband Ralph decided we should check out the local spots for a nice dinner date since our anniversary was just around the corner and we both agreed to try out this place. The food was very decent and the atmosphere was nice, but the African american hostess with short black hair was lovely, I shared a but of my background with her and she shared some of her's with me it felt like almost speaking with a good friend! I think her name was Dena? ((If you see this Dena, I apologize for the misspelling)) I felt like it could of been a better day out however due to me seeing how rude one of the bus boys was towards her, she had asked him to clean a table about three or four times and he wasn't listening and I'm not so sure if anyone is as sweet as Dena but he sure wasn't!! Usually I feel like eggs Benedict are small portions so I contemplated ordering a pancake on the side, but I'm glad I didn't, because the portion was just right!
