The selection on craft beer is great but their prices are gnarly. They want $29.99 for Hammerhead when msrp is $17.99. A 750ml Cantillon Geuze Lambic is 34.99 when it should only be about 19.99 the most. I'm a beer snob. I won't try and hide it. I had heard a lot of amazing things about this place online and by word of mouth. When I went in, I had really high hopes and was let down. There were a lot of people (maybe vendors) in the aisles reorganizing things/cluttering the floor with product and made it tough for me to see their full selection of beer. Also, I wanted to ask the guy behind the counter some questions but he seemed very preoccupied and I could barely hear anything since they had a TV blaring right near the registers. While waiting to pick up my online order, I asked the guy behind the bullet proof glass if one of the bottles on a top shelf was for sale. He said no. I know a handful of bottle shops that do this, and they have since lost my business. Why put something on display if it's not for sale? It's very off putting. If you'd like to show off your bottle collection or rare things that you have but are not planning to sell, put up a sign saying "NOT FOR SALE". If you're new to the hobby/lifestyle of craft beer, this is the place for you. If you're looking for hard to find items, maybe not. read more

Honestly I never would have known about this place had it not been for my quest for Ironfire beer. I had Ironfire a couple of times at 38 Degrees & decided to look them up. Plaza Market was listed as stocking their beer locally. They had about four different Ironfire brews but on this hot Summer day I was in search of their Cucumber Ale but sadly, it was not there. Actually it's not on Ironfire's website either. It might have been an experimental brew that I had. No worries Plaza Market has plenty of other craft beers to choose from. The usual suspects are there...Firestone Walker, Stone, Bootleggers, Angel City, Lagunitas, Ommegang, etc...but I decided to get a couple of bottles of beer that I don't normally see at BevMo. I got the Ninkasi Brewing Special Release Maiden the Shade Summer Style IPA for my hubby & the Cismontane Holy Jim Falls X.P.A. for me. It's a good place to come to if you want a variety of craft brews to try as they have refrigerated singles of 12 oz., pint & 22 oz. bottles to choose from. I'll bring the hubby next time. I asked him for a few suggestions since I've only tried a small amount of craft beers that my friends had recommended to me but Carlos' knowledge of the craft beers and different styles was astonishing and he was able to help me pick out some brews that he felt like I would like and he was not wrong! Craft Beer Kings is THE BEST ONLINE BEER STORE. It's a combination of being a kid in a candy store (think Willy Wonka) and opening up the best present you ever got on your birthday. The selection is amazing from whales (Fou Foune, Chocolate Rain, Bourbon County Rare, etc.,) to just amazing beers from any and every brewery you could think of and new up and coming ones you probably haven't heard of yet but will. And the pricing is amazing, no matter how much you buy, or how rare the beer. The pricing is a happy surprise and relief. All of my boxes were shipped fast, never had any issues with bottles breaking or missing, just amazing birthday like feeling to get and open. Each bottle comes inside a separate bubble wrap, bag, and divider to keep them from falling. The boxes are written on to be handled with care, and which direction to face to prevent the bottles from being turned upside down or falling when being shipped. All of the staff members are super friendly and helpful. Moe is the most generous and amazing friend in beer you will ever have. There were so many beers I thought I'd never get to try, thanks to Moe and Craft Beer Kings I did and they were shipped right to my door. read more

I was specifically looking for this alcoholic root beer drink (Not Your Father's Root Beer by Small Town Brewery) I found at a restaurant and stumbled upon this place. I'm glad that I did because the selection is truly impressive and much closer to my house than any other place that has a large selection of booze. I felt like a kid at a candy store, or well an alcoholic at an craft beer store. I spent about half an hour just looking at all the other beers with no clear vision as to what I would end up buying as all the beers looked quite good. This place is AWESOME. They have every beer you could think of. It's a little hole in the wall. I just go in there and tell the guy what type of beer I'm looking for and how much I want to spend, then I follow him around the store while he grabs what I need, then I pay. I'm not a huge beer person but I go here for presents and gifts to bring to dinner parties. They are very accommodating and they appreciate your business. It's been a long time I haven't found the services that I find in this great convenient store. I can find my groceries, everything I need to clean my car, my house, fresh coffee in the mornings on my way to work, domestic/imported and best of all an amazing selection of CRAFT BEER, chips and candy. They carry anything from megapack of natural ice to the finest beers in the world at very very good prices. I stopped into Plaza Market this past week after hearing about their craft beer selection. Upon pulling up, I questioned whether I was at the right place. Very unassuming exterior, but the very large "BEER" sign gave it away. It's not the size of a market, more of a mini-mart / liquor store, but,....yes.....one of the best craft beer selections I've seen. The owner Mike (I believe that's his name) was very friendly and knowledgeable about his inventory, which in my opinion, is perfectly diversified (sours / bitters, rare DIPA's, Saison's, etc.).
