We came here for a nice lunch mid afternoon because the menu looked interesting. We were definitely in the mood for pizza and that's why we came here. It wasn't very busy and we were seated quickly. There aren't too many staff here, but they were friendly and attentive. We ordered the traditional Margherita pizza and the Provoleta. It truly was a good authentic pizza. The sauce and cheese were absolutely top-notch, but I do wish the crust was a little more puffy and airy. The Provoleta was interesting. Who doesn't like gooey cheese melted with tomatoes and bread to dip it in? But boy was it salty! Delicious mind you, but salty. Have a drink ready. This rainy Sunday morning called for a new brunch spot and we decided to stop in at Craft Coconut Grove. We got in pretty early and there was plenty of seating as the rain slowed it definitely started to get busier. It seemed like there was one server taking care of both inside and out which he handled well and checked in often. The location has a minimalistic and trendy feel. TVs were playing soccer games in the back which checks out with Craft originating in Argentina. Let's get to the food which is what you're reading this for. We started with coffees, bf had the Americano black, while I had a delicious latte with cinnamon powder; both were served with a bite sized chocolate brownie (nice touch!). We started with the goat cheese croquettes which were an incredible way to start. Covered with honey and almond slivers, the honey complimented the goat cheese in such a balanced way. We only explored the breakfast side of the menu, which all sounded amazing. I decided on the eggs Benedict with a side of the house potatoes. The bennie was served with sliced ham on a thick slice of sourdough, I do think the potatoes should be the standard side instead of the side of arugula. Bf went with the steak and eggs... this should be a no-brainer it's an Argentinian restaurant and steak is a staple. Well he ordered it medium and it was served well done. This was definitely disappointing. The server insisted on taking it back and brought out an entirely new plate. This one was cooked to medium but he said it was incredibly bland. Bf does not usually add salt to dishes at restaurants and he kept having to sprinkle salt. All in all, breakfast was ok, but we may be back to try lunch or dinner instead next time. read more

Had a nice visit to this brunch spot. Restaurant was clean and we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Love the bottomless mimosas for $25. The French toast was great. We didn't really love the deep fried crepe. It wasn't bad, but very different. The shrimp salad was fresh and flavorful. The banana milkshake was yummy. We came to the coconut grove location Sunday at 10:30 with no reservation. Having said that, the place was very empty so they were able to sit a part of 6 minor attitude from the only person that was sitting and taking orders. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. For some reason she could not hear one person's order so we had to check every single time that she had all the orders in before she left. Food was good and tasty. The portions are the right size, including the post apocalyptic breakfast. This one includes a little bit of everything on the breakfast/brunch menu. For me, the best was the avocado toast! The granola with fruits was also very delicious. There is an automatic 20% tip added for groups of 6 or more which is fine but not so fine when the service has been zero to nonexistent. Unbeatable brunch vibes in the Grove We had an absolutely incredible experience at CRAFT Coconut Grove and ended up hanging out for two hours just soaking in the amazing atmosphere. The food was phenomenal. I highly recommend the avocado toast--it was flawless. My friend went with the steak and fries, which was cooked perfectly and incredibly flavorful. Paired with some great mimosas, it made for the ultimate brunch setup. What really took our visit to the next level was the top-tier hospitality. Our server, an awesome blonde girl from Argentina, was incredibly sweet and attentive. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of so we could just kick back and enjoy the day. Nice place located in Coconut Grove. The place has a nice vibe ans has a good mix of booth and table seating. The wait service was friendly, but need a few more servers. I ordered the Croquette goat cheese balls and they were excellent, definitely a must get. For my main I went with Steak and eggs and outside of the little potatoes the dish was bland and over cooked. This breezy little place offers truly delectable small bites as well as filling brunch/breakfast and heftier meals, including pasta dishes, pizzas, and salads. I had the Croque madame and my friend had the Verde, with avocado and all sorts of delicious fresh fruits. I had a high-quality Illy cappuccino and my friend had an oat milk latte. Both were great! A large group of us came to CRAFT for dinner and were seated outside. We liked being able to make a reservation for 10 people and appreciated their flexibility when we had to change our reservation time. The food was tasty and the portions were huge! I got the sandwich with Prosciutto, Fresh Mozzarella, Arugula, Tomato, Aioli, and Balsamic Glaze. It came with a hefty side of fries which I ended up not being able to finish. I also shared the Roasted Cauliflower appetizer, which had Romesco sauce, Cherry Tomato Confit, Garlic Panko. I was in love with this appetizer and could have several more rounds of it. If you're walking in the area and pass by, you'll notice the restaurant is deservingly empty. The fact this restaurant has such high reviews is baffling; the food is below mediocre and expensive. The tuna salad is just a bad poke bowl with ginger dressing, the mashed potatoes are flavorless and grainy, the salmon is overcooked and pale, and the only decent thing they have is subpar pizza. Julieta, Fausto and the rest of the staff welcomed us with open arms as if we were part of the family. The atmosphere is very pleasant, spotless and very spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating options. The food was delicious; the provoletta, beef stew and the baked salmon were stellar - the pizza was exceptional. The wine menu is varied and has a little bit for everyone's palette. The Omelette was dry with all the ingredients equally segregated into their own section of the omelette, and the worst part were the i"caramelized ONIONS", which were so slimy, it was reminiscent of a bloated beached whale spewing out it's guts onto tourist. I really wanted to love this place but its clear the chef doesn't love his potential customers. The food was bland and don't get me started on their coffee. I really wish they didn't have such a broad menu and just focus on a few plates and make them special. The food is amazing. And yet the people are enough to make me never go back. I've picked up 2 orders from the coral gables location and each time they act like I'm invisible. Truly great acting because I'm pretty hard to miss in public. I walk in and no one even greets me much less makes eye contact, or asks if I've been helped. I have to grab someone by the arm just to get them to acknowledge me. Then I have to chase someone else down to get my food from the kitchen. There is never a "please," "thank you," or any type of pleasantry. I tried the coconut Grove location and it started off even worse: As I was walking in the waitress was walking out with her hands full, so naturally I held the door for her. Girly didn't even make eye contact much less say "thank you." Fine. As another waiter is trying to ignore me and walk past, I have to grab him by the arm: I have to physically stop someone to get service there. Fine. I'd have to be a masochist to give this place any more of my money or presence. Should I try another location just to see if they've actually been formally trained to treat me like dirt? read more

I came with a group of 10 for dinner on a Saturday night. We had a reservation, but had to move it back. They were super accommodating of the change and sat us outside on a cute patio section. The restaurant was largely empty, but fortunately the food was very good! A friend and I split a caprese pizza and a grilled shrimp salad and loved both. The pizza was tasty and came with a delicious aioli that tasted amazing with the crust. The shrimp on the salad was cooked really well and the salads are so full of toppings, they're almost like bowls. Super filling! The espresso martinis were yum and overall the service was efficient. The only note is, when calling ahead to change the reservation, a staff member said he'd have a "big surprise," but at dinner, the birthday went unacknowledged. So here I am on a Monday, and I order a pizza from the specials section. About halfway through eating my pizza there's a gentleman next to me that orders a pizza to-go also under the special section. my server, (which is the same server) informs him that it's actually not a special today because it's a holiday, but neglect to tell me that before I order the pizza. Apparently I'm not understanding something correctly here because there's even a sign posted outside, which I've posted below that shows pizzas are on special on Mondays with no fine print or exclusions noted. Now the staff has been wonderful and friendly, and to be honest that the pizza was great, but I feel like this was a frankly simple, but stupid mistake. I even questioned it after I overheard the gentleman next to me ordering the pizza and their response to him. I mentioned that it would've been lovely to know that ahead of time and didn't get much of a reply from either my server or the other server also listening to the conversation. No apology and nothing comped from the bill to justify said mistake. Customer service like this offsets and otherwise wonderful experience. Will not return. read more
