    Great lunch at Caffe Italia!

Amazing food, great wine selection always, and the best hospitality! Just the best restaurant in The Gables to make you feel welcome.

This cozy restaurant is a great alternative for work lunch Their specials are ample enough to please a crowd My favorite is the house lasagna a flavorful portion soaked in tomato sauce filled with savory bolognese, good enough to leave you with a smile House wine os available as well as the Italian espresso to finish your lunch and continue your work day at ease. If needed parking at rear is a commodity at the area. Nice staff ready available to serve your requests.

We heard good things, were excited to try it. We went on a weeknight, they happened to have a large party which was celebrating and was extremely loud, to the point us and other diners moved as far away as possible immediately after sitting. The party was yelling and cheering, something you do at hall not in the dining room of a restaurant, unfortunately no manager was there to ask them to quiet down. The dining room is nicely decorated but everyone was cold and wearing their jackets as the AC was much too high on an unusually cool night. The meat sauce tased more like a chili sauce than an Italian Bolognese, our portions were small. The bread was good. The server seemed upset when he offered cocktails and appetizers and we said no thank you. Maybe it was just an off night as all places have them.

Met with friends to have some Italian food. The place is quite elevated inside, and although it sits on a corner, there is ample space to park near. Today the venue was not packed and that was good because I could see this restaurant super busy. The decor was appropriate, and the service was excellent. Very much so that all pre ordering was done rather quickly. The food was phenomenal in taste. Temperature was adequate, and the portions appropriately. The only reason for not a 5 star was because one plate of food had to be returned for more cooking, and the refills had to be asked for constantly. Nevertheless, kudos to the staff for making us feel VIP, the entire time. They even have a wine cellar to make selections in wine. Other than that, I highly recommend this place for a good encounter with a special someone or meeting up with friends. Prices were very accommodating.

I have traveled through Europe and I can confidently say this place has the best pasta I've ever had. Moreover, every single item we ordered tonight was phenomenal. Anyone visiting should make it a point to visit this location!

Cafe Italia is located right next to my job and our management has ordered several time lunch from there. Here you will find a menu full of typical Italian cuisine plus thin crust pizza. This past Thursday our team ordered two orders of pizza one with pepperoni and the other just cheese. The pizzas were delicious thin crust with the right amount of cheese and red sauce. The crust was nice and chewy.

I finally got a chance to try Caffe Italia, and I was blown away. The staff was welcoming and attentive, inside was beautifully decorated. Our waitress Gisela was spectacular, very friendly and knowledgeable. The Burrata was delicious, and the meat lovers pizza was excellent as well. I definitely will come back and try some of the pasta dishes next time. Grazie mille!

They make freshly baked bread that comes out hot, especially when they're busy. We went during peak hours so didn't expect the efficient service we got. The server, bread and water were a team and backed each other up so well. The fettuccine Alfredo is so fresh and full of flavor, and the chicken Marsala was equally good. Will come again. So romantic when you walk in it does feel like you get transported to a little restaurant in Italy.

Instead, we were sat at the smallest bar seating, which was completely inappropriate and not romantic at all for an occasion like Valentine's Day. As soon as we sat down, I politely asked if we could be moved. The manager then told me that I had booked bar seating, which is simply not true. Why would anyone reserve bar seating a month in advance for Valentine's Day? I checked my reservation confirmation myself and it never stated that, and I even tried making another reservation to verify ..bar seating wasn't even an option. He told us he would "see what he could do," and we were left waiting at the bar with no water, no menus, no service, and no communication whatsoever. Meanwhile, we watched multiple couples get seated at proper tables back-to-back. At one point, we even overheard another couple say their reservation was at the same time as ours, and they were seated at a table immediately. When I tried to politely ask for an update, the manager or owner completely ignored me. No acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. I was honestly in shock at how disrespectful and dismissive they were. We ended up getting up and leaving because of how uncomfortable and disrespected we felt. Valentine's Day is supposed to be special, and this restaurant completely ruined that experience.

I had to ask for more, which they gladly accommodated me - and the same with the guys next to me. But if you're bringing me a whole bowl of deliciousness, I need more than three toasties with it!!!

They have great service offering inside and outside seating and a Flamenco show on Saturday nights. The staff was, friendly, helpful and attentive. The vibe is excellent. Everyone here is ready to eat well and have a lovely time. No sooner had we sat down, our server took our drink order and immediately brought it out. We chose a Spanish Urbión Rioja reserva wine and it was quite delectable. We also ordered 2 Coke zeros. For our starters, we selected: * 2 Chips de Berenjena. Eggplant chips, flash fried and drizzled with honey. These are the best!!! So delicious, we ordered 2 servings and everyone in the restaurant was ordering them. * Fried Calamari with a very tasty aioli sauce. * Gulas de Ajillo Baby eels cooked in garlic sauce and olive oil - delicious. This dish is very special to us because my Husband eats it every time we visit Barcelona. * Pulpo a la Plancha - Grilled octopus with creamy black rice made of calamari ink. The rice was excellent, absolutely luscious. * Pulpo a la Gallega. Boiled octopus and boiled potatoes drizzled with paprika and olive oil. For our Mains we ordered the * Filet Mignon with blue cheese sauce and boiled potatoes. This dish was just OK. The potatoes weren't seasoned, only boiled. The steak had no char and was overdone for a filet. My Husband also ordered * Patatas a la Giralda - their twist on patatas bravas with two homemade signature sauces. These were crispy, and delicous. Served underneath the 2 sauces. * I ordered Grilled Chicken with salad. I was taken aback by the server for food shaming me to order something pricier, not just basic chicken. That's not cool. I also got a side of * Patatas - fried steak fries, very crunchy paired well with our food. For dessert we had * Crema Catalana, which is a Spanish syle Crème brûlée. This dessert has probably been the smallest dessert I've ever ordered. Not to mention, the consistency, the taste and color was all wrong. It was as if you had a Jello vanilla pudding with a miniscule amount of hardened caramelized sugar. Definitely not getting this desert again. I'd like to try the Tarta de Santiago next time. Once our food arrived the Flamenco show began and it was glorious!! The lead male vocalist was phenomenal! His vocal range and guitar skills were admirable. The show began with singing first and then the dancer started. She was a personable, very talented dancer and performer. At one point she locked eyes with me and before I knew it I was up there dancing with her, which was so much fun! I really enjoyed this restaurant and recommend it to open minded people who enjoy food from Spain.
