Well let me start by saying that my wife and I have travels the world and eaten in some great restaurants and we consider ourself foodies and Tullio is one of the best restaurants we have eaten in. The service was exceptional, the Resturant is quiet and the owner Sebsatio. Gave use great service. My wife started with the beat salad which was remarkable. The beats were soft and tasty. I started with an arugula with shave fennel salad very good but not as tasty as my wife's salad. Shen then had the filet which was perfectly cooked and had an incredible mushroom sauce. I had the linguine with clam sausage. Best I have ever had including numerous restaurants in Italy. For desert we split the tiramisu whose was tremendous although I think the lady fingers could have used a little more rum or liquor. Only minor issue was no vegetable with the filet but not a big issue. Overall I highly recommend this Resturant and will be back. Do not wait to go here since it is so so good. read more

While everything we ate was not bad, I felt this place was a little too overpriced for their food quality. I've definitely had better Italian food. Their branzino and Cacio e pepe were good but not the best. However, their pistachio ice cream and tiramisu were worth every penny!!!! These are must-try items for sure! There are not that many restaurants that will make tiramisu table-side. We thought service wasn't that great either. Spectacular meal! Five of us met at Tullio's. Thanks, Pat for the recommendation. The interior is lovely and very comfortable. The service was absolutely perfect. And they were open on Monday night. Tullio specializes in Venetian cuisine. That means great seafood -- flown in daily -- and risotto. As well as a variety of home made pastas. Among the five of us, we tried a pretty wide selection of the menu. I had arugula salad and a fabulous risotto with porcini mushrooms. For dessert we had a gigantic potion of house made pistachio gelato. And five spoons. They claim they made it after we placed the order. It was absolutely delightful. read more

If you like Italian then this is the house of worship. Simply impeccable food quality, service and presentation. Alice and the whole staff here are wonderful, delightful and fully, yes fully knowledgeable. If you want to try a three course go for the Taste of the Gables lunch or dinner or simply pick any one of the exceptional plates on the menu. Chiarella water is available here, how good is that (taste it and see.) I didn't see valet parking unless Flemings shares it and I don't see why not. If that is not an option then street parking or a nearby parking garage. Eggplant was so smooth you would almost think it wasn't. Everything is made in house, the breadsticks, the desserts, etc. etc. So good I told them I want this to be my last meal on earth. Anything under 4 stars here is a travesty. read more

One of the best meals we've had. The service was impeccable, staff was never hovering but always nearby and checking on us through out the evening. The food spectacular! Immediately upon sitting down we received a gift from the chef (small caprese salad). All of the specials sounded incredible. We settled on the linguine vongole and I had the pappardelle veal ragu special (my mouth still waters thinking about it); and as a starter we had the polipo. I cannot express how delicious this meal was. We went for my boyfriend's birthday and I added this note to the reservation (along with a note that we would not be consuming alcohol), my boyfriend was very full and was declining dessert but Roger being the wonderfully attentive guide through our experience saw the note and we were brought a delicious Tiramisu. Whether you are looking for a date night spot, a special place to celebrate a birthday, or even have a quiet meeting over a delicious meal Tullio is the place; 10 out of 10. Solid choice. THE PLACE: Located in Coral Gables, plenty of street parking and public garages are available (25mins=$1). Inside the restaurant is of tall ceiling, and minimal but tasteful decor like fresh flowers. It does feel like a pop-up or a restaurant located in a hotel, but it is nice, well lit and with padded seating. Very clean. THE FOOD: The food was good overall, not complaints - some dishes were fantastic, favorites apps being the Burrata con balsamico Stravecchio, though the Polpo Scottato su vellutata di ceci al nero di seppia was a close second - especially coming from someone who doesn't like Octopus. For entrée, I have the Salmone Atlantico su letto di pomodorini, asparagi, cipolline, senape , good overall dish, nothing "wow" - but the buttery texture on the salmon was impressive. Raviolis were good too. But the true gem here is the TIRAMISU! A MUST! not only is it delicious with the best whipped light texture, but its made all table side - almost like a dinner an show. a large portion too - about 2 or 3 can have a hearty portion from 1 order. This restaurant is not somewhere you want to go for a party larger than 4. We came for a friend's birthday and the waitress was incredibly stressed making us anxious and stressed about the evening. Our party was split into 2 tables, we brought our friend's favorite cake which the restaurant mentioned they could accommodate. The restaurant ended up charging each table a cake fee of $50 for one cake. We were told it would be waived but the manager later said it's only waived if we also order a dessert from the restaurant. Each person's check had a discount that ranged from $4-$8. When we asked what this was for the manager said he had no idea. I would give it more stars if the food was worth the exorbitant prices but unfortunately it's not. We spent $96 on 2 entrees...nothing else (no drinks, apps, or cake fee). Basic food, nothing special. Basic service, nothing 5 star about it. If you're looking for Italian and willing to spend this amount, head to Macchialina or Luca Osteria where you'll find incredible five star service and DELICIOUS culinary experience. read more

We treated our friend for her birthday here at Tullio, and we all enjoyed our dining experience! We randomly found Tullio and popped in one night, but we didn't have a reservation and unfortunately they were busy & already full. We ended up making a reservation online for the next night, and we're so glad we did! When we returned the next night, the owner kindly greeted us and thanked us for coming back. It was very nice that he remembered us from the previous night. Later on, his father also came over to our table to greet us. Delicious food & top notch service! They're known for fish (fun fact: the owners are from Venice), and of course you can't go wrong with the pasta dishes. My faves were the burrata appetizer and seafood risotto. For dessert, I highly recommend their gelato (the flavor of the night was pistachio & it was made in house), and the tiramisu, which they make right by your table. I recently visited Tullio and I cannot stop raving about our experience! First off, Lucio the owner is a beautiful person. He was kind enough to donate a gift card for a dining experience for an auction we were holding to raise funds for the hurricane victims in October. The person who connected us had so many good things to say about the restaurant so naturally I had to bid on it! I'm so happy I won! We waited until our Anniversary to visit and it was beautiful experience. We did not have a server, we had a team of servers! The commitment to providing an amazing experience was undeniable! We provided them with the gift card and the owner Lucio came by, welcomed us and told us they would take care of everything and began sending the food out and wine tastings to go with it. First, we received a complementary Caprese salad with fresh homemade mozzarella. They immediately brought us glasses of Prosecco to toast followed by the porchetta which paired nicely. They proceeded to bring fresh ossa bucco ravioli with an ossa bucco sauce that was delicious and paired that with a white wine. For the main courses, they brought us filet Mignon with a creamy mash cooked and season to perfection and the branzino with roasted vegetables. When I tell you that branzino melts in your mouth I am not exaggerating! It was outstanding. One of the servers shared that they have it flown in almost daily from Europe. They paired this course with a delicious red wine that just went so well with our filet. As if that was not enough there was dessert! It was absolutely phenomenal. They prepared an our tiramisu table side and the presentation was fantastic. Lucio then brought out an additional surprise which was a traditional Italian treat that couples a Vin Santo with a delectable cantucci (like a biscotti) to dip in the delicious caramelly liquor. The food was a 10/10 but the service was a 100/10! Whether you're going for dinner on a regular night or celebrating a special occasion, I encourage you to give Tullio a try. Unreal! As you can see on my profile, I have reviewed almost every restaurant in CORAL GABLES as I have been a resident for more than 35 years and I eat out almost daily. We have noticed this place but had never been, so tonight we decided to try it. We made a reservation through Open Table but thinking we couldn't make it because a family emergency cancelled, but then quickly rebooked when we learned we would indeed be able to go. We parked in the building garage and proceeded to the restaurant with our confirmed reservation. We noticed the note about the strict dress code on the Open Table description so before going in I made a point to put on my jacket. When we arrived we weren't exactly sure where to go, as there is no proper hostess station, but we were quickly greeted by one of the owners at the door and to our surprise he said he did not have us confirmed, but only showed a cancellation. We showed him our confirmation and he informed us that he had just given our table away to a walk-in couple who had been standing right in front of us. As we stood there awkwardly amongst the diners near the entrance I noticed that no one was adhering to any dress code, Especially the couple that was just sat in front of us. Guests were very casual with untucked short sleeve shirts, jeans, and shoes with no socks, so I don't understand the suggestion that there is a strict dress code. It would have been nice if others were dressed as nicely as we were. Even though we arrived exactly on time, the owner was not helpful and said we would have to wait about one hour for another table. Given the circumstances, the courteous and hospitable thing to do would have been to at least offer, whether we wanted to accept or not, a table outside (there were many) or a complimentary glass of wine at the bar while waiting for a table to become available. At a minimum validate our parking? Instead he basically just told us, you are screwed, come back another day, very unwelcoming and unprofessional. I have no idea how this place still has business. With no offer to stay, we left and made a quick reservation up the street at Il Duomo dei Sapore. They welcomed us politely as always and we enjoyed amazing food in their beautiful location. The host greeted us professionally and attended to us personally. He even comped our desert for being loyal return customers. Tulio's can learn a few lessons here. We won't be back. read more

I would also say the service was excellent except for one thing, we ordered one bottle of sparkling water and at the end of the meal they brought us another which we didn't ask for, poured it, we drank none but were charged for it. The food wasn't very good. My swordfish had a gross sauce and the pasta my husband got on the was super small yet very expensive. For $300 with one drink each was a huge ripoff. A great new upscale Italian restaurant opened up in Coral Gables about 6 months ago. It's relatively small, maybe 12-18 tables but all with white table cloths and impeccable service and attention by a large staff. Three of us shared the cacio e pepe made table side, peppardelle pasta with wild boar ragu and a huge veal Milanese. Dessert was a large creme brûlée, hazelnut biscotti, and a large dish of hazelnut gelato. I am definitely going back. read more

Authentic, classic Italian upscale dining has finally arrived to the Gables. Greeted by a fabulous host, Sebastian guided us to our table followed by an elaborate story of his fisherman nonno in Venice. We shared an amazing black pasta delicately tossed in squid ink sauce topped with squid carpaccio and a table side prepared creamy cacio e pepe. Don't skimp on the tableside tiramisu which is was nothing short of AMAZING and I'm a picky tiramisu eater. Just recently visited Tullio's for the third time with my GF and, as usual, the whole experience was beyond outstanding from the service to the food to the feeling like you are having a meal with family. Laura, our hostess, was attentive, polite and accommodating with her Sicilian smile. Lucio the owner was his gracious self. The branzino was excellent as was the cacio de pepe and the tiramisu (always a treat). Cannot forget to mention the homemade cookies. I would come back just for the these. First of all, let me start by saying that this restaurant is underrated. I don't understand how I had never heard of it before. I have to say that they treat you like complete royalty. You feel so special, taken care of, and very well attended throughout the entire dining experience. I came on a Saturday night close to closing time, yet they still made room for my family and I- no hesitation. We all felt welcomed and very invited. My favorite dish was the sirloin, burrata salad and lobster pasta. Their cheese and hams platter was also delicious, but the king of the night was the pistachio gelato. HOLLY MOLLY, it is outstanding. By far the best gelato I've had in Miami. Every dish was tasty, can't really say anything negative, but if you want delicious Italian food and excellent service in the Gables, this is your spot.
