He walked straight over, pulled a $4 adapter off the shelf, opened the package, and helped me remove the old one and install the new one right there to make sure it fit. Got home, put the handle back on, and that $4 part completely fixed the problem. After I paid, I mentioned it was my first time there. He asked how I'd found them, and I told him, "ChatGPT told me to come here." His response: "God bless them." This is exactly why it's worth going to a real plumbing supply store where people actually know the parts.
